She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2022, where she also completed her bachelor’s in biology. Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Carla began her career in Marietta, Georgia before making Texas her home. Her passion for chiropractic care was sparked through meaningful conversations with her sister and solidified during her studies—and deeply affirmed when her newborn nephew, facing serious health challenges, was able to avoid cranial surgery through chiropractic care.

Dr. Matthew Simpson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, where he spent much of his childhood exploring the area’s trails and rivers. In his teenage years, he relocated to Northern New Mexico and continued pursuing his passion for the outdoors through hiking and mountain biking. These active pursuits, while rewarding, often led to injuries that introduced him early on to the benefits of chiropractic care. Having begun receiving adjustments in elementary school, Dr. Simpson has maintained chiropractic treatment throughout his life to support his health and physical performance.

These formative experiences ultimately inspired his career path. Dr. Simpson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker Chiropractic College in 2006. Over the years, he has gained diverse experience managing a variety of clinical settings, including personal injury practices and his own private clinic in Denver, Colorado. Through this work, he developed a clear vision for delivering effective, accessible chiropractic care to a broad patient base.

In May 2013, Dr. Simpson joined The Joint Chiropractic as the Clinic Director of the Alliance location. Since then, he has taken on multiple leadership roles within the organization. Currently serving as Clinic Director of the Presidio location, Dr. Simpson is dedicated to caring for his community and helping patients improve their quality of life through routine and affordable chiropractic care.
