3 Things to Include in Your New Year's Resolutions
By Virginia Laird
Happy New Year!! It is time to start considering which resolutions you will choose to commit to in 2018. Will you want to improve their style, change jobs, or even make a resolution concerning some housekeeping. However, most will select goals which concern health and wellness. Personal trainers suggest that goals relating to health and fitness are a driving force to help maintain motivation. Without something to keep you going, when the battle to success gets hard, it can be easy to give up. Rather than falling victim to your resolutions, find a way to stay focused and work toward success. Some resolutions to consider, include:
- Eat lean and green
- Find time to exercise
- Increase your water intake
Eat Lean and Green
2018 may have a lot in store for you and your family. One thing you need to be sure you include is a focus on the health and wellness of your family. A change some health and wellness professionals recommend is to follow a diet of lean and green. Making green veggies a part of each meal can help ensure everyone gets the proper nutrition needed to keep the body healthy. The lean eating aspect of this recommendation includes choosing lean meats over fatty cuts, as well as selecting chicken over red meat.
Find Time to Exercise
Fitness instructors suggest finding time to exercise can be a good idea when trying to improve your health. This does not mean you need to invest in a gym membership. There are plenty of places to work out without encountering any additional costs. This can include an outdoor track, hills for climbing, your neighborhood sidewalk, and much more. As you make time to exercise in 2018 you will certainly find yourself healthier.
Increase Your Water Intake
Are you drinking enough water? If you are not already drinking half of your body weight in ounces, and odds are you are not, you are not staying hydrated. Increasing your water consumption can help flush toxins out of the body. It can also help keep the functions of the body in top working order. Make sure to drink up (water that is) in 2018.
Now you are completely ready to make doable resolutions and establish a plan to ensure your success for the year. Make this the best and healthiest year of your life. Good luck, you can do it!
