Dr. Mackenzie Futrell joined The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2025 when she began serving residents in Houston, relishing the opportunity to do the work she finds so rewarding.

“One of the best things about working in the chiropractic field is the ability to help people heal using my hands rather than relying on alternative medications,” she says. “There is something deeply rewarding about identifying the root of a problem and using precise, skilled adjustments to restore balance and function in the body. Seeing patients experience relief, improved mobility, and a better quality of life through natural, hands-on care makes the work both meaningful and fulfilling.”

Dr. Mack grew up in Florence, a small Texas town where everyone knows everyone, and community truly matters. “In a place like that, you learn early to look out for others, and I always knew I wanted a career where I could help people in a meaningful way,” she says. “Chiropractic felt like a natural fit because it combines my athletic background, my appreciation for hands-on care, and my desire to serve others by helping them stay strong, healthy, and active.”

She describes her husband, Garrett, as “the smartest man I know. He can fix anything, literally ANYTHING,” she says.

The couple has two “doggy children,” huskies named Dakota and Suka. “They are my best boys,” she says.

In her spare time, Dr. Mack loves to be outside. “I do a lot of hunting, fishing, hiking, and adventuring when I can,” she says. She also enjoys reading and has been developing a new hobby – making sourdough bread.

Dr. Mack earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology at Lamar University in Beaumont, where she played collegiate softball. She earned a Doctorate at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena.

“I knew chiropractic was my calling because it found me at a moment when I felt broken and frustrated,” she says. “Playing collegiate softball was everything to me, until an injury took that sense of control away. I tried everything to get better, pushing through pain, following the usual routes, but nothing truly helped. Then I finally visited a chiropractor, and for the first time, I didn’t just feel temporary relief. I felt real healing begin. That experience changed everything. I was a pre-physical therapy major, like so many other athletes. But I realized I wanted to be different. I wanted to give people the same hope and healing I had been given, so I switched to chiropractic, and every step since has felt aligned with who I am and why I’m here.”

One of her most memorable experiences was seeing a patient who had been in multiple accidents where pain and spinal injuries had taken away her independence. “Walking was difficult and she could no longer work,” she says. “Week after week we worked together, slowly, intentionally, and with a lot of trust. Over time she began to regain her strength and eventually she reached a point where she could take care of herself, return to work, and truly start living her life again instead of just surviving. It showed me the power of chiropractic care and left me grateful for the skills I was learning and the privilege of being part of someone’s journey back to a normal, fulfilling life.”

Dr. Mack and her husband once completed a nine-mile hike, ascending more than 3,000 feet in elevation. “The climb was exhausting, every step pushing me to my limits, but when we reached the summit, I was completely unprepared for what I saw,” she says. “I felt completely out of my body, filled with awe and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the life we are given. That experience changed the way I face challenges, the way I appreciate the little things, and the way I strive to live each day with intention, wonder, and gratitude.”

Dr. Mack’s best advice is related to that experience. “Never give up, no matter how steep or exhausting the climb feels,” she says. “Life is a lot like climbing a mountain. The path can be long, cold, and full of obstacles, and you can feel like turning back. But if you keep taking one step at a time, pushing through the fatigue and doubt, the view from the top is worth every struggle.

Dr. Sohag Ahamad joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2021 when he became part of the team at the Hwy 290 & 34th clinic in Houston, where he does the rewarding work of helping people as their local healthcare provider.

“I enjoy transforming people's lives, helping them feel better and confident enough to try something they have not been able to do for a long time,” he says. “We take a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing the whole person rather than just the systems of a particular condition.”

Dr. Ahamad grew up in Houston and previously worked in Beaumont.

He and his wife, Sabrina, have six nieces and nephews who call him “Daddy.” The couple has a cat who Dr. Ahamad spends a lot of time with when he gets home from work.

A self-proclaimed “foodie,” Dr. Ahamad loves street foods and his wife’s cooking. “She likes to cook, serving food to people no matter who they are,” he says. “It is a big part of my religious belief.”

After earning an Associate of Science degree at Houston Community College, Dr. Ahamad graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned a Doctorate from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena.

“My parents always taught us to help anyone who needs help, in any situation,” he says. “But it is always better if we do it with our own hands, and what would be better than this? Being a chiropractor means you give hands-on, one-to-one care.”

The most meaningful aspect of chiropractic work is the continual learning process while treating patients, according to Dr. Ahamad. “Experience plays a significant role in healthcare practice, seeing a high volume of patients with all kinds of musculoskeletal health issues,” he says. “I have a hunger to make my patients feel better and live better.”

If he could host a dinner party and invite anyone living or dead, Dr. Ahamad would include his parents and grandparents from both sides of his family. “It would be the party of a lifetime,” he says.

Some of his most meaningful memories occurred while struggling in his new life after migrating to the United States. “I learned a lot about life and how to overcome problems and succeed, regardless of the circumstances,” he says. “It made me what I am today.”

His favorite book is The Sealed Nectar: Biography of the Prophet by Sheikh Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarkpuri. “It shaped my life,” he says. “I highly recommend it to those who are looking for a role model for their lives in any circumstance.”

I visited the location in June 2026 because I received message for free consultation and examination along with 5 treatment at price of 4. It was end of May 2026 promotion. After completing the session my card was charged for the next month. Manager name Marina said she cannot refund and that I have signed and understood the terms and conditions. I was told if i wish to discontinue I have to inform them which I already told them during enrollment. I kept quiet and let it go. Co incidentally I came across this review and found same incident with another patient and I strongly feel the need to raise this unjust billing system. Giving card details on file is really dangerous. They can charge whenever and for whatever they want. Writing this review to make Patients at Joint Chiropractic aware of unjust Billing system.

I am very happy with Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Mack. But decided to discontinue due to Billing issue. Regional Manager Marina arrogantly declines my request. Inspite explaining employee error, I was still charge on the 4th Month which I decided to cancel. Shame on such billing procedure and I adamantly decided not to continue with such establishment. Quick and well priced… my Wex card apparently doesn’t cover(hate that card so bad) so lookout benefit holders! I highly recommend The Joint Chiropractict due to having Dr Ahamad being a good Chiropractor that listens to what kind of pain you have or what seems to be the problem. So like its the valley. From playing soccer in the 90's Chiropractic visits usually were along the lines of indoor soccer hard tackles and falls. independence during the covid pandemic left me sleeping in the hotel with the bad mattress leaving a visit to the 2020 chiropractic medical advancements chair. like the red hot pads.. This location almost never has a wait and the doctor usually in is very good. Pushes hard enough to actually shift and move things but soft enough to do it without hurting. He's also very quick. I'm usually in and out within ten minutes. Very convenient as it is right off 290 so I stop in on my way home or during a lunch break. Pricing is very reasonable and even better when you buy their pre-paid packages. If you are a regular then consider the monthly plan, otherwise the pre-paid and use when you want packages are great.

I'm a line cook by trade and stoop bend over pick up things all day long as I am cooking and this kills my back due to an accident when I was 19 so anyhow I decided to try the joint after massages and ice and packs were not enough after two sessions most of the pain was gone that was over the course of about 3 weeks so I am continuing to get treatments this month too I'm very happy with the results. Update Feb2026: im not sure if i just wrote that above or maybe iff'n be two years gone by...! Either way, i still be gowinn - matter 'o fact done did so today- There are three chiropractors each with a unique style so that when you take the aggregate you gettin a badass deal y'heard me. Plus the receptionist is also very knowledgeable, friendly, and ? too. In other words, id be lyin if i said i dont recommend. Peace out

My right kneecap shifted during the night. Bending and straightening my knee was extremely painful. My knee was weigh bearing limited as well. My regular chiropractor is closed on weekends so I went to The Joint. I was in and out very quickly. The chiropractor was fantastic. He knew exactly what to do to realign my kneecap. Lots of different kinds of adjustments to my knee and I was on my way home to ice it down and take it easy.

First off I would like to apologize as I didn't get anyone's name. I have been going to this place for a couple of months now every now and again and I really did enjoy each and every experience. What really pushed me to putting this as a five-star place it's not just the kindness and how quickly I was able to be seen and how efficient the process to be signed in and signed up was. It's the fact that I had a pass for one other person that I knew to join me and I decided to take my brother. He didn't have a lot of time and he had a really bad day but he was able to spare some time to come and see this place cuz I recommended it to him. We stepped in and not even 30 minutes later give or take 5-10 minutes we were seen both of us after he was assisted through signing up and explaining any symptoms he had. The receptionist was kind understanding and very helpful and getting him through the signing up process as well as understanding the situation and making it comfortable for us.great session as always really am grateful to be a member here.

Dr Thien was really helpful to me when I first started going in April 2023 when I could not sit. Been going there for about 18 months now, not as often as I'd like but Dr Ahamad is awesome. He really seems to care & take the time to listen to what's bothering me & I walk out ready to tap dance! Haha! Just kidding but I think it's awesome when people can barely walk in but he makes them feel better. I want to keep going for maintenance. I highly recommend Dr. AHAMAD. He's there every day except on Friday.

service was good until i realized that my 4 visit payment was non ending which they neglected to tell me. i saw that the dinged my bank account for another 79 bucks and i had not used my 4 previously. when i went to inquire the lady at the counter would not refund the money and said i needed to cancel my membership. i never knew i signed a membership. Knowledgeable and helpful in addressing my issues. One suggestion would be that any unused visits from the previous month roll over to the next month. For example, clients that go on vacation and unable to take advantage of their four monthly visits for which they paid for are lost and no refund is received.

All of the doctors I have encountered at The Joint are personable and professional. Over the span of 3 years, and after visiting multiple locations, I believe Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Mosley are the best. Dr. Ahmad enjoys his practice and goes beyond the routine adjustments other stick to. Within the same timeframe, he consistently provides attentive adjustments specific to your needs. In my experience with Dr. Mosely, she also provides attentive care with amazing bedside manner. Please call ahead for the schedules of these two doctors, especially if you are new to chiropractic care.

I have been taking chiropractic treatments with another veteran Chiropractic Group for the prior two months and was not seeing the progress and alleviation of my nerve inflammation and pain in my hips, thighs and legs to a point where I could work out and play golf multiple days in a week. I had a growing concern that my previous Chiropractor's treatments were similar for most of the patients I saw when I was at the clinic - spine adjustment, neck popping, lower back and hip adjustments. I felt some improvement to my health overall but still had the chronic sciatica and disabling hip pain. I am so happy I went to visit Dr Ahamad at the Joint Chiropractic Clinic on US 290 to review my condition. After we reviewed my issues with sciatica, nerve pain in the left hip and leg and my medical history, Dr Ahamad started applying a much different and more specific group of chiropractic, pressure point, range of motion and muscle stimulation techniques for the lower back, core, hips and legs. He also recommended core, back, hip and leg muscle exercises that I can do on a daily basis to help support his therapy techniques and my recovery. I am very impressed with my progress and thankful for Dr Ahamad's physio acumen, techniques and therapies. Dr Ahamad has given me new hope to recover my health and activities. Avoid this place if you’re reading this. I signed up for one of their packages which they failed to mention that it was a monthly charge so I kept being charged. Called to clear that up and was told that I could cancel and use the rest of my visits (4) that I had paid for. When I got there I was denied entry & they wanted to keep charging my CC and not give me the services I had already paid for. As far as the work that they do it doesn’t help. I’m in more pain and it’s probably because they know what to do to keep you coming in. They kept stressing the importance of renewing your membership but then don’t honor what you paid for. This place is a money pit.

I did the $29 deal online and called to make an appointment but the receptionist was very unhelpful. She asked why I wanted to come in, I told her I wanted an adjustment for knee pain and she basically told me to go see a real doctor lol. Even though on their website it says “Restoring proper alignment to the spine can assist with pain relief and prevention of knee, foot, an ankle pain”. I just ended up saying never mind and ending the call. Maybe their other locations are helpful, but this one seems like they don’t want new clients.

Edited after visiting my normal chiropractor: he most certainly got me back to normal with one position. When I left the joint I was still lopsided. I am absolutely alleging that your facility only partially fixes the problem as to result in multiple visits for more money. A common scam.* I was able to get back to normal with one pop in the past and still able to do so. According to you all that is not possible. LOL These are the quacks you have to watch out for. My normal chiropractor was busy this Sunday and closed for the holiday Monday so I had to come to this practice. Quickly the chiropractors assessed a few issues when I only came for one and got me on a “plan”. This is the scam most people are worried about when going to chiropractors. It seems like this guy needed repeat business. So as to garner that he will not fully fix you on the first visit. I have had this same issue before and it only takes one position to pop back in to place. I pay careful attention to how my body gets treated. My normal chiropractor would first work on the problem area and then adjust to normalize. This guy worked on the good area first and then the bad area. By doing so he left the bad area slightly out of whack on purpose as to get me to be a repeat customer. Welp I will just wait until Tuesday to get actually fixed from someone who isn’t about repeat business but getting you back to health. I can only understand this because I’ve been to a true chiropractor vs a franchise. A patient cured is no longer a patient and these people just want you to come back for multiple visits. Be weary when dealing with Dr.Ahmad. He seemed upset when i chose his “quick” fix method versus 6 weeks of chiropractor help. BIG LOL on that as I’m not a newb. One professional gives me one crack and I’m back to health whereas the joint gives me 6 weeks of treatment? Something ain’t right here

The staff and doctors at The Joint at 34th Street are great, especially Dr. Ahmad. He always gets my spine in line and I feel fabulous when he is done. 37 years old and been a avid long distance runner since I was 12. Ran for my high school and was ran as a preferred walk on in College. Could never quit the sport. Still averaging around 50 mpw working 50 plus hour weeks. Probably had every overuse injury possible at this point and at this point I’ve learned to deal with it. I’ve been a member of The Joint for over 6 years. I sometimes go just 4 times a month and even up to 8 times a month and been to several Joint locations. Dr. Teagle at this location has been a great asset to help me stay in the game and from having a major blow up injury. I really like how he is also an avid athlete while having a career and understands my struggles. He’s also a great therapist as I’m always paranoid about a possible injury.

Within my first few visits with Dr. Teagle, I felt an immediate improvement in my neck pain. Dr. Michael Teagle Is by far one of my favorite chiropractors I have ever been to! (I have been to a few) He makes you feel very comfortable, explains everything he is doing, and listens to your concerns! I suffer from TMJ and I have never had a chiropractor work on my jaw before until him… let me tell you I feel SO much better! My jaw doesn’t hurt as much, and it’s relieved my headaches! I had no clue this could be done until Dr. Teagle! The staff at this location in general are great! Very professional but also chatty where you could be friends with them which I personally love! I want to be able to build a good relationship with my Doctors offices, that’s something that’s important to me and has been achieved by Dr. Teagle and his staff! 10/10 recommend!

MANNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Shout out Dr Teagle! I came in there stiffer than a grown swole man trying belly roll and left moving like Omarion! I left this spot feeling like I could go toe to toe with a bear! And he spent at least 2 mins cleaning the seats before I was seated so you know cleanliness is key for them. The company is a farce. They not only do not solve your aches and pains, they make your condition worse. The staff was never the same. My husband ever saw the same receptionist or the same chiropractor at any of his visits. No one tracked his progress or lack thereof. He was bamboozled into signing up for a 2 month contract and was required to provide a credit card. Once the 2 months expired, he verbally cancelled it yet they continue to charge his credit card monthly. When he went in to complain they informed him he needed to sign a release before the charges would stop. These people are crooks! DO NOT let this happen to you!

I don’t mind waiting to see Dr. Crone! He’s the best in town. He treats everyone the same. We all get the same amount of time and the proper adjustments that we need. He never rushes and this is important. I get more than what I pay for every time Dr. Crone lays hands on me. I have recommended my friends to join me in this absolutely wonderful place. Nice/New location that’s very convenient and I found out Dr.Crone is the chiropractor for this location now. I used to see him at the Yale location great guy and he’s very informative on relieving my neck/back pain I get sometimes.

Do not know how I would have managed last year without Dr. Crone. He was an invaluable and integral part of my ability to discover the source of my pain. In the end I needed surgery and he has helped with my recovery. Someone reccomended a "miracle" chirooractor but it was not long until I returned to Dr. Crone. He e-mailed me exercises and advised me about activity. All chirooractors are not the same. Regularly going to the Joint has given me a variety of experiences with different chiropractors. They all do similar things but each has thier own unique approach to Chirooractic care.

The office staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly. This is definitely one of the best locations I’ve been to. I drive 30 minutes to get to this location because everyone is beyond amazing. I only see Dr. Crone truly cares about his patients and is passionate about his craft. By far the best team front desk is amazing always welcoming when walk in and dr. Crone is really amazing always caring to your needs. Over all best one so far. Walked in with back pain and saw Dr. Stroops and oh I was able to walk out feeling a lot better and able to move so much more without any pain. So I suggest if in pain or discomfort come in and see any of the amazing Dr.’s here.

I joined The Joint and this location because it was close to my home and for the ability to walk in. The doctor I first saw and first receptionist were absolutely lovely and helpful. I still always call ahead. I confirmed they were open and let them know I was on my way in. The receptionist did not greet me when I arrived. I had to say hello, and she said “it’s a 35 minute wait.” I reminded her I had just called and she knew exactly who I was. I said “I called ahead and spoke to you and drove 30 minutes to get here. She said so are you waiting or are you coming back?” I explained to her I am working on the other side of town and unable to come back. She just walked away from me and went about what she was doing.
