Dr. Cerita Gaddi joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2022 when she became part of the team at the Memorial at Kirkwood clinic location, where she does the rewarding work of helping Houston residents as their local healthcare provider.

“Every time someone leaves standing up taller, taking deeper breaths, or moving easier, it makes me feel good about what chiropractic does for everyone,” she says. “Another favorite thing about being in the chiropractic field is the way we treat our patients from a holistic approach, that you can specialize in one aspect and still impact lives.”

Dr. Cerita, as her patients call her, was born in the Philippines but raised primarily in California with a brief stop in Illinois. She became a doctor at Parker University after having earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from California State University, Sacramento.

Dr. Cerita has three dogs, a Great Dane, a Texas heeler mix, and a Labrador. “They keep me very busy on my off days, but I enjoy the outdoors, especially when I can bring the dogs,” she says. “I look forward to exploring different park trails when I can.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Cerita says she has a major sweet tooth, so she always has ice cream or frozen Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups stocked in her freezer.

One of her greatest adventures took place with a cousin as they backpacked through Europe for 3 1/2 weeks. “It was the best experience,” she says, “so many sites, and so many miles hiked.”

If she could bring together any four people from history for her ideal dinner party, Dr. Cerita would sit down with “Robin Williams because he’s one of my favorite comedic actors, especially in Mrs. Doubtfire, laughter is good for the soul; Joe Rogan, because he loves to ask questions about everything and I think a conversation with him would be very interesting, if not enlightening; and Jim Carrey, because I love to laugh!

A proud 2022 graduate of Parker University, she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Dr. Johnson’s path to chiropractic care was anything but traditional. After completing her undergraduate degree in 2014, she spent more than six years serving her community as a deputy with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. It was during this time that a colleague introduced her to chiropractic care and encouraged her to get her first adjustment—an experience that sparked her fascination with the body’s ability to self-heal. That moment ignited a passion for the science, philosophy, and natural effectiveness of chiropractic care.

What Dr. Johnson loves most about being a chiropractor is witnessing the look of relief and joy on a patient’s face after finally finding comfort and restored mobility. She is especially inspired by the Greek roots of the word chiropractic, meaning “done by hand,” and takes pride in the hands-on, drug-free, non-invasive approach that allows her to improve patients’ quality of life.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Dr. Johnson brings warmth, compassion, and a community-centered approach to her practice. Outside the clinic, she enjoys game nights with loved ones, experimenting with new recipes, relaxing with a good movie, and attending live music events. A true water lover, she also appreciates beach days, kayaking, and poolside lounging.
