These 3 Common Deficiencies Are Ruining Your Health

The point in achieving overall good health is to have a good quality of life. What is the point of living longer or making a lot of money if your quality of life is shot? Many people are living day to day with poor health and miserable health conditions, many of them stem from these three nutritional deficiencies. Stop letting these three common nutritional deficiencies ruin your life:

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is essential for preventing cancer, keeping depression at bay, improving bone health, and keeping your brain functions healthy. The whole body relies on vitamin D in some way or another. Many individuals miss out on the natural source of vitamin D, aka sunlight, because they spend too much time indoors or rely on sunscreen too often.

If you are deficient in vitamin D too long, you can start to experience health issues, such as depression, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer, and more. Thankfully the fix is easy.

To get more vitamin D into your system, try to spend 30 minutes in unprotected sunlight. If you are sensitive to the sun, try to just let your arms and legs get majority of the sunlight, while protecting your face. Using a non-toxic sunscreen after 30 minutes of exposure is important too. Also, eating more vitamin D rich foods, such as salmon, fish, cod liver oil, and mushrooms can help significantly too.

Magnesium

Many of us are missing out on the essential magnesium benefits due to poor soil conditions in which our food is grown. Magnesium plays an important part in keeping your heart healthy, blood sugar balanced, and your bones strong. Magnesium can also help you establish better sleep, a healthy metabolism, and reduce stress. To increase your magnesium intake, try eating more Brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and cacao.

Enzymes

Enzymes are behind every chemical reaction that takes place in the body. Many times we are deficient in enzyme-rich food because of our highly processed foods diet. To remedy this situation, eat more raw, enzyme-rich foods, such as papaya, pineapples, melons, mango, kiwi, grapes, avocado, and raw honey. Adding fermented foods and fermented vegetables into your diet can help too. The point is not to consume all raw foods, but to add these raw foods to your diet for a balanced whole foods approach to health.

Don’t let common nutritional deficiencies ruin your health and quality of life. All three of these deficiencies are easy to remedy by just adding a few healthy foods to your diet.
