Dr. Christian Marshall was born and raised in Katy Texas, where he grew up racing motocross. Practicing and racing nearly everyday, this is what facilitated his initial experiences with Chiropractic, as he would visit a chiropractor after his training or races to help him recover quicker and get back out onto the track. To quote Dr. Marshall, from these experiences sparked his desire to “be able to help people exceed in their own life through chiropractic care”.
Dr. Marshall went on to study exercise and sports science, along with biology, at Texas Tech and Texas State University. After receiving his Bachelors in Biology, he went on to receive his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Texas Chiropractic College in 2019. Once graduated, Dr. Marshall went to work for a privately owned chiropractic clinic for a year before coming to work for the Joint. He stated in his own words that he was excited to join the Joint at the Morton Ranch clinic because “It was a new and growing clinic whose potential excited me. I wanted to be part of the growth while being able to use my hands to help heal those who come into the clinic!”
Dr. Marshall lives an active lifestyle, spending much of his time traveling around the state of Texas, seeking adventures and new experiences. On one such adventure, he had the opportunity to travel with one of the nation’s most renowned motocross riders, learning and training under them as they traveled.
Dr. Marshall is a young and passionate chiropractor with a great knowledge of his field. Come and visit him today at our Morton Ranch location!
Doctor Kelsy DeMelo graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in April of 2019. As a student at Texas Chiropractic College she has excelled as a teaching assistant in the Department of Anatomical Sciences. She has served in roles of leadership as a chair of the Ethics committee as well as president of the Chiropractic Student Nutrition Club.
Prior to Chiropractic College, Dr. Kelsy grew up in Boston, MA, where she still visits family often. She is a graduate of Simmons College in Boston, MA with a Bachelors in Science, majoring in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. Dr. Kelsy has worked at New York University in cardiology, and as a fitness coach at Equinox, providing group and individual fitness training to a wide spectrum of clientele.
Dr. Kelsy lived in New York City for about five years and worked as a personal trainer. While personal training, she referred many of her clients to a Sports Medicine Chiropractor when they would get injured. One day on a whim, she stopped by his office and was so inspired – “I could do this!” she thought... And she did!
Dr. Kelsy aspires to continue her specialization in the fields of Chiropractic, Pediatrics, Pre/Post-natal health, Nutrition, and a variety of Sports Therapies. She is supplementing her education with a diplomat with the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, and in an Acupuncture certification at Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas.
“The best thing about being a Chiropractor is watching patients get better and return to wellness after being in pain.” Dr. Kelsy enjoys helping her patients return to their sports and activities of daily living after being unable to while in pain.
In her spare time, Dr. Kelsy is also a nationally qualified Figure and Bikini competitor with the National Physique Committee. She enjoys hiking with her rescued pitbull, Tig and cuddling up with her black cat, Nora on the couch to relax. On her days off you will likely find her either in the kitchen baking, watching true crime documentaries, or with her nose buried in a book.
Despite her bubbly demeanor with her patients, she is a self-proclaimed “introvert” and enjoys downtime very much! Dr. Kelsy has also qualified for the New York City marathon in 2013, and grew up dancing classical ballet.
