Dr. Jon McCreery joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2021 when he became part of the team at the South Hulen clinic, where he does the rewarding work of helping people as their local healthcare provider in the Metroplex
“I truly enjoy helping my patients live without pain and help restore their health,” he says. “With chiropractic, many times patients will have a problem that other doctors might not be able to help with, so it is very gratifying to be able to help that patient with their problem or with the pain that they might have not been able resolve previously
Dr. Jon, as his patients call him, worked previously in Garland before working in Fort Worth. He grew up in southern Illinois and has four children, including a twin boy and girl -- one of whom attends Texas Tech and the other who attends University of Arkansas.
When not hanging out with his kids, Dr. Jon loves golf, watching football and following the Cowboys.
He attended Murray State in Kentucky and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology before attending Parker University in Dallas to get his doctorate of chiropractic.
“I saw a chiropractor as a kid and I always had the highest regards for my chiropractor,” Dr. Jon says. “But it wasn’t until I hurt my back playing football in college and the team doctor said I needed surgery. I decided I would try the local chiropractor in town. Not only was he able to correct my two herniated discs in my back but also prevent surgery.
“In my own professional experience, I have seen thousands of patients limp into the office and, literally, after one session walk out of the office. It is truly awesome to witness.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Jon would love to sit down with Jesus Christ, President John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, and Walter Payton. “Jesus is obvious and JFK was a great leader,” he says. “I think Elvis would be one individual who would be fun to talk to, and Walter Payton was one of the best football players to ever play the game.”
A book that has been among the most meaningful to him is I Declare by Joel Osteen. “I believe our words have power,” Dr. Jon says, “and we should speak positively about ourselves and our family.”
The best advice he ever received came from a football coach in college: “A winner will give no excuses, but a loser will have an excuse for everything.”
Dr. Bailey Pawelek is a dedicated Doctor of Chiropractic who is passionate about providing non-invasive, drug-free care to a diverse range of patients. Graduating from Parker University, Dr. Pawelek earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic after obtaining a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University.
Growing up in a small town just outside of San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Pawelek's first encounter with chiropractic care occurred in middle school. After a softball injury left her with persistent back pain, a visit to a local chiropractor not only alleviated her discomfort but sparked her profound interest in the field. This early experience as a patient and her subsequent work at a local chiropractor's office during her undergraduate years allowed her to connect with her patients on a personal level.
One of the highlights of Dr. Pawelek's chiropractic journey occurred during her time at the Parker Clinic while pursuing her doctorate. Treating a special patient who had lost the ability to garden due to pain, Dr. Pawelek witnessed the transformative power of chiropractic care. The joy on the patient's face after successful treatment, enabling her to resume activities she hadn't enjoyed in years, reinforced Dr. Pawelek's commitment to her profession.
Aside from her professional accomplishments, Dr. Pawelek enjoys spending her spare time cooking, hanging out with friends and family, and taking long walks with her two beloved French Bulldogs, Daisy and Dallas. These furry companions not only bring joy to her life but also served as willing patients during her chiropractic studies.
In a relationship with a partner who shares her enthusiasm for chiropractic, Dr. Pawelek's significant other is pursuing a Ph.D. in poultry science at Mississippi State University. Together, they navigate their respective fields, creating a unique blend of passion and support.
Dr. Bailey Pawelek's commitment to chiropractic care, coupled with her ability to connect with patients on a personal level, makes her a compassionate and effective healthcare professional. With a genuine love for her profession and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients, Dr. Pawelek continues to contribute to the well-being of others through chiropractic care.
