Hi Laredo! My name is Dr. David Torres and I am originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine and Research in Environmental Contamination from the Caribbean University of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. This degree opened the door for me to be accepted into Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina where I earned a Doctorate in Chiropractic Care.
I am 37 years old and have a beautiful 4 year old son named Diego, who means everything to me. I am so thankful to be back at The Joint, Laredo. Come in for a visit and let me show you how I can help you improve your life through Chiropractic care by reconnecting the spiritual with physical.
Dr. Stephanie Colón was born and raised in the heart of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Throughout her high school and undergraduate studies, she always loved science, and helping people, but she didn’t find a career that resonated with her until she discovered chiropractic. Growing up she stayed very active with sports, including basketball, softball, track and field.
Dr. Colón had a basketball scholarship during her undergraduate degree in Puerto Rico where she experienced multiple traumatic injuries as a result of her participation. However, she became overwhelmingly impressed when she learned that athletes receiving chiropractic care improved their performance and reduced their pain. After doing more research about the chiropractic profession, she was inspired by the benefits of chiropractic, a non-surgical alternative to traditional medicine. Dr. Colón fell in love with Chiropractic and from that moment forward she knew that Chiropractic was the career path she wanted to pursue.
Dr. Colón earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in 2015. In 2016, she moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic.
She is currently an ICPA Member and certified in Webster Technique. She is also certified in Gonstead technique and Torque Release Technique.
Dr. Colón practiced chiropractic in Florida for 1 year and decided to moved to Texas in 2021 were she served the beautiful community of San Antonio, Texas for 2 years. She has helped families, pregnant women, kids, adults, and seniors, keeping them thriving and getting them to live their best lives.
“My driving force in chiropractic is helping people live healthier and more fulfilled lives. I believe that educating my patients on their symptoms and how it relates to the nervous system, is the key to improving patient’s health and well-being.”
