Dr. MacIver was born and raised in Texas. His uncle was a green beret medic in Vietnam and he has always looked up to him and wanted to help others. Dr. MacIver received his Bachelor Degree in English from the University of North Texas and has worked in Management, Information Technology, Sales, Operations, Logistics, Marketing, and many others before he found his calling with Chiropractic.
Before going to Parker University for his degree, Dr. MacIver was getting three or more migraines a week and the regular care provided to him during his schooling reduced those instances down to less than one a month. This led Dr. MacIver to seek out specific treatments to help headache sufferers in addition to his other training.
At the age of 32, Dr. MacIver returned to school and mastered the skills needed to receive his Doctoral degree in Chiropractic from Parker University. He has spent years studying and perfecting his skills in Advanced Activator techniques as well as Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, extremity adjusting, and trigger point release methods.
After graduation Dr. MacIver was recruited by a personal injury clinic where he took on the role of Clinical Director gained experiences with an assortment of injuries and additional techniques. He got frustrated with the limitations set on him by attorneys and insurance companies that would not let him treat outside of what they determined was the 'area of injury' and has joined The Joint so he can focus on his patients without the limits of only being able to treat certain parts of the problem.
