Dr. Hardwick was born and raised in a small town in deep south east Texas called Jasper. At the age of 16 he began searching for career options. Asking a friend's father what he should do, the reply was, "Look around you at all the people you know. Discern if they are happy or not. If they are happy, then find out what they do. If you think you'd be happy doing it and can do it, then that's the choice." Dr. Hardwick's father was friends with the local chiropractor, so by 17, Dr. Hardwick obtained a job with the office of Dr. Williamson. Observing the practice and realizing that it was something he could do, Dr. Hardwick would pursue the career of chiropractic. Dr. Hardwick then attended Lamar University and would then move to the Houston area to attend Texas Chiropractic College (TCC).

Upon graduation, Dr. Hardwick worked for other chiropractic offices to help understand the business of chiropractic and by the year 2003 he opened his first practice in Irving, Texas. Years would pass and he met his future wife down in Waxahachie. He then decided to open a second practice in that particular town. A third office would be opened in Mansfield years after that. In 2017 Dr. Hardwick and his wife, Noelle, purchased a house in Rockwall. Due to the distance to work, Dr. Hardwick departed his private practice and started working for the Joint.
