Dr. Jonathan Todd was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina but has spent most of his life in the northeast side of San Antonio. Dr. Todd spent much of his childhood participating in sports, playing baseball every summer and training in the martial arts. It was his first job, teaching Taekwondo at the age of 17, which started him on a life of serving others. After graduating from Judson High School in 2000, he began his healthcare career as a massage therapist. He came under chiropractic care while fighting as an amateur in 2008 as a way to keep up with the physical demands of his training without taking pain medications every day and soon thereafter made the decision to transfer from the University of North Texas to Parker University in Dallas, Tx. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic in December of 2013 and returned home to San Antonio to serve the community in which he was raised. When he is not treating patients he spends his time with his family – his wife, 5 year old son, and newest addition due in May 2017.
Dr. Jacob Barrett was born and raised in Texas. He attended Texas State University where he earned his BS in Psychology/Biology (2007). In 2012, Dr. Barrett graduated from Parker University earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic, in conjunction with an additional Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness. Dr. Barrett has treated patients from all walks of life, from Olympic athletes and orphans in Bogota, Colombia, to friends and entire families here in the states. Dr. Barrett joined The Joint in 2017 and is very happy to be working with such a great team of doctors and staff. He believes that the best thing about being a chiropractor is making a positive difference in so many people's lives. Dr. Barrett resides in San Antonio with his lovely wife Cyndi They enjoy raising three beautiful children, sons Ronaldo and Iker and daughter Sagelle.
Dr. Terry L. Burke was born in Sioux City IA, yet spent most of his formative years in The Quad Cities (East Moline IL). He played basketball and baseball from grade school through high school. It was during his senior year while participating in track when he injured his lower back. He sought out traditional care which did not help him. He then sought out help from a local chiropractor who helped get him back on the track within a week’s time of beginning the treatment plan offered by the chiropractor. That peaked Dr. Burke’s interest in Chiropractic. He was drafted into the US Army in July 1972-July 1974. Upon returning from his tour of duty in Europe he used his GI bill and became a Doctor of Chiropractic on March 23, 1981. He practiced in the states of IL for two years, Colorado for 11 years and from February 1995 to December 2011 in San Antonio TX. On March 16. 2011 Dr. Burke went to work for the US Army Bassett Community Hospital in Fairbanks AK until June of 2012. On July 2, 2012, he accepted a position with the US Army Hospital in Tacoma WA where he worked until March 31, 2017. During that time he and his wife Anita were blessed with two grandchildren who live in San Antonio, TX. On March 31, 2017 After retiring from the federal government’s Madigan Army Medical Center Dr. Burke and his wife returned to San Antonio TX to be near family. When he is not in the office treating patients you can find him spending time with his family or enjoying a round of golf with friends.
