Full Body Workouts to Get You Summer Ready

With the summer months just ahead of us, you might be thinking that it’s time to workout and get in shape for your summer body. There are obviously a million ways to workout and get in shape, but when you’re in a time crunch, one of the best things you can do is to work your whole body in one go. Here are three great ways to get a full body workout to help you get in summer ready form.

Running

Running is absolutely one of the best full body workouts. When you run, you work every muscle in the body. The legs get the most obvious workout, the arms get worked as they pump up and back, and your core holds you upright and keeps you moving forward. Since running can be hard on the joints, it should be done with care, but if you are able, this form of exercise will burn massive amounts of calories while working every muscle in your body. It’s a great way to get ready for summer.

Weightlifting

When it comes to weight lifting, you probably think of a big, bulky man, but really anyone can enjoy this form of exercise. With weights, you can literally work all of your muscles. There are thousands of different moves that can be done with different sizes of weights, so you’ll never be at a loss for how to work a muscle group. Even better, lifting weights leads to stronger muscles, which then leads to a greater rate of fat loss, which obviously leads to a trimmer and more defined body. This workout can be full body, all arms, all legs, or any combination of moves to get exactly the workout that you need.

Yoga

If you’ve ever tried yoga, then you know it is way harder than what you originally think. Yoga works the entire body, so much so that you are likely to be pretty sore after a session. Yoga involves breathing techniques, a series of stretches, and holding and contorting your own body weight, all done in a rhythmic flow. It’s not all soft music and soothing voices; it’s tough work! If you really want a full body sweat session, don’t be afraid to give your local yoga class a try. You and your body will be glad you did.
