Dr. Boyd graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University. She has a chiropractic focus on family wellness and athletes. She is proficient is many different chiropractic techniques, including Diversified, Thompson, and Activator. Dr. Boyd intends to extend her education and pursue animal chiropractic.
Dr. Boyd is a Sugar Land native and is excited to practice in her hometown. She enjoys spending time with her dog and two cats. She regularly volunteers at animal shelters and loves spending time in nature.
Working in her home city, allows her to visit with her family more often. Dr. Boyd strives to provide the best chiropractic care possible, so she enjoys getting to know her patients and making them feel at home.

Dr. Nelson Mukoro obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 2011. He started his own practice while working in various clinics around Texas as a fill-in doctor. Dr. Mukoro obtained a bachelor’s degree in Radio Television and Film Production from Sam Houston State University in 1996.
His interest in pain relief started when he was a little boy. Watching his mother suffer from chronic headaches, neck, upper and low back pain, made him eager to find a solution. He believed in conservative treatment and decided to mobilize soft tissues around his mother’s neck, upper and low back whenever she complained of pain. These actions resulted in relief for his mother.
Dr. Mukoro has a passion for helping people in pain, he offers a wide range of diversified chiropractic adjustments and manipulations to help relieve patients pain. Today, he utilizes those experiences and his extensive chiropractic training to help his patients rid themselves of pain.

Dr. Truong was born in Vietnam but has lived most of his life in the United States. Growing up, he has always wanted to be in the healthcare profession to help as many people as possible. After receiving his chiropractic degree, Dr. Truong has continued to work very hard to provide the best chiropractic care possible, and he is always excited to treat patients as well as help his community every day.
Through his professional journey, Dr. Truong has worked as a chiropractor in Lubbock, Texas and Lakeshore, Illinois. His treatments include relief with migraines, and dealing with sciatica, neck, and back pain using manual manipulation. Dr. Truong has been the Joint’s local chiropractor in Sugar Land, Tx since 2019.
In his spare time, Dr. Truong enjoys his time with his family, road trips, community work and volunteering at community events. He is fluent in English, Vietnamese, and conversational Mandarin Chinese.

1 5 1I just took my son in to do a hip adjustment and work out the issue in his back. Unfortunately because it was past a certain time we were unable to select the chiropractor and were given first available. We were given Dr. Nelson Mukoro. He was absolutely terrible and made the pain even worse. I've personally had him do an adjustment on me before and he was terrible then as well. He seems to have no idea what he's talking about and then hardly does anything to even diagnose and resolve the back pain issue. In the two times now that we've seen him, it seems as though he's just going through the motions to get patients in and out of the table as quickly as possible without actually treating them.

All of the doctors are super skilled and personable, whether it’s Drs Trang, Urrea, Mukuro, Patel,Schmidt, etc. Today, I went for a visit because of mid and lower back pain, as well as, hip pain, all on my right side, due to 4 days of extensive marathon moving and pre-Spring cleaning. I knew I was doing damage to my body but I also knew that one of the excellent Doctors at the Sugarland location would straighten me out and help me to get my springy steps back. Dr Trang did not disappoint! He was amazing. In addition to have excellent interpersonal skills, he listened attentively to my concerns, ask a few questions and expertly went to work. He knew all the right spots to target with the proper amount pressure and varied techniques. During the treatment, I experienced pain relieve, muscle relaxation and my overall body was realigned! By the time Dr Trang was finished I felt 100% better, energized and my springy step was back! So I want to personally thank all the doctors mentioned above, who at one time or another in the last 10 months, have helped me and my family improve our overall health. Thank you Dr Trang for what you did today, and thank you Dr Urrea (Le) for the amazingly effective treatment on my sciatica last week! 5 5 1My name is christopher Caros and I am a Syro-Chaldean Archbishop. When I was born, I had an inherited issue concerning my chest. All the males in my father's family are born with a chest that over time becomes deformed. At the age of 15, I had major chest surgery to correct the deformity. The situation in my case became life threatening. The year that I graduated from college, I was involved in a three car accident injuring my neck and lower back. I also discovered later in life, that I have spinal scoliosis. Now at the age of 71, these conditions have become rather critical. I have been going to The Joint on a regular basis since October 16, 2014. Under the care of Dr Gomez, my back condition has improved by 80% giving me much greater flexibility and mobility. He has suggested various exercises and specific equipment that I have been using on a regular basis. I find this well beyond the usual care that I have received through the years under other chiropractors. I now experience very few occasions with pain and my quality of life has greatly improved. There are two factors that I attribute to my recovery. First the affordability and second the quality of physicians at The Joint. I highly recommend this establishment and do so to my friends.
