Chiropractors Help Protect Nerve Centers
What starts as a small pain in your wrist, knee or hip, may take hold and insist on immediate attention if the nerves in the body are not happy. When you see someone limping, or massaging their wrist, those are the trouble signs. There may be trouble on the nerve highway with pain signals flashing and warning of more trouble to come.
Knees, hips, wrists and lower backs are targets.
I have known a bunch of people with knee pain, and quite a few with carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms. In both situations, there is no question that something will be done soon as pain gains power and sometimes takes over lives.
I have also had friends who ran into severe hip or lower back pain. Again the nerve center pain center was not working well and immediate relief was the goal. Wherever the breakdown occurs, fixes are needed soon.
The people with lower back pain were often the most severely impacted. I saw one fellow brought to a complete halt. He was in pain when he tried to sit down, and spent some time standing or lying down. He wound up being driven to the chiropractor’s office, lying down in the back of their car while his wife drove.
I ran into him a couple months later and the change was amazing. Chiropractic treatment and therapy and loss of weight had worked, and he was on his way to the gym to follow up with some rehab exercises. Of course he was smiling. He got his life back!
In many cases that I have seen, an initial visit to the chiropractor, followed by more visits and an overall plan of treatment helped to clear things up.
How the chiropractor may help
The chiropractor works with your spine which houses your spinal cord, which is really the command center for your body. His goal is to keep that spinal nerve center in prime working condition so the rest of your body works just the way you want it to whenever you want it to.
The nerve connection to muscles, joints and bones becomes a prime focus for the chiropractor with the goal of keeping everything up and running. Starting with the initial visit, spinal adjustment and review of medical history and daily activities, the idea is to keep going to help restore normal patterns without medications or surgery. The idea is to help the body achieve a normal status and heal itself.
If you or someone in your family is experiencing nerve pain and needs relief now, make an appointment with your chiropractor to see how he may be able to help.
