Meet The Doctors
Dr. Martin Munoz is a Texas-licensed and board-certified chiropractor with a deep passion for helping people achieve pain relief, better mobility, and long-term wellness through routine chiropractic care. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, Dr. Munoz was inspired by his three older cousins, who were all chiropractors, to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine. From an early age, he knew he wanted to serve his community by providing natural, drug-free pain management and spinal health solutions.
After completing his undergraduate studies in Oklahoma, Dr. Munoz attended Parker College of Chiropractic (now Parker University) in Dallas, TX, where he earned a bachelor’s in health and Wellness and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in May 2008. Following graduation, he practiced in Albuquerque, NM, and Lubbock, TX, before opening his own private chiropractic practice in Lubbock in 2009. His expertise in spinal adjustments, posture correction, and holistic pain relief has helped countless patients overcome back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, and joint dysfunction.
In 2014, Dr. Munoz returned to Texas as a Designated Doctor for the Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation, where he evaluated and assisted injured workers in their recovery. Additionally, he has worked with Genex Services, LLC, handling workers' compensation utilization review procedures. In June 2019, Dr. Munoz joined The Joint Chiropractic at the Bandera location, and he will soon be serving patients at the new Kitty Hawk location in Universal City.
Dr. Munoz is passionate about helping patients not only find relief from pain but also incorporate chiropractic care into their daily lives for long-term health and wellness. He values The Joint Chiropractic’s mission of providing accessible, walk-in chiropractic care and enjoys treating a diverse range of patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Munoz loves spending time with his son, Mateo, going to the movies, and exploring everything San Antonio has to offer. He is excited to continue helping the community move, feel, and live better—one adjustment at a time!
Dr. Don was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. While attending The Ohio State University he suffered a back injury and discovered chiropractic. In a very short time, he was 100% recovered and made the decision to become a chiropractor. He attended the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago where he received a BS in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
He lived and practiced in Michigan and Ohio before coming to Texas, a place he readily calls home now! Dr. Don has served as a team chiropractor for multiple different sports over the years at the high school level. He has worked in multiple practice models and feels that The Joint’s approach to practice is the ideal form for effective affordable delivery of chiropractic care to as many people as is possible. He is blessed with 5 amazing children from college level down to grade school and enjoys as much of his free time with them as he can. In his own words “The fun never ends!”
Dr. Phelps is a passionate chiropractor dedicated to helping patients move, feel, and live better through routine chiropractic care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Louisiana State University-Shreveport in May 2017 before pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Parker University, where she also earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Nutrition and Anatomy in August 2021.
Before joining The Joint Chiropractic in Texas, Dr. Phelps practiced in a family-focused chiropractic clinic in Mississippi, where she helped patients of all ages achieve pain relief, improved mobility, and better overall wellness. She was inspired to become a chiropractor after witnessing firsthand the gap between conventional medicine and complementary alternative care. She believes that chiropractic adjustments play a vital role in bridging that gap, allowing patients to take control of their spinal health, joint function, and quality of life.
Dr. Phelps is committed to providing personalized, hands-on chiropractic care to help patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, and joint dysfunction. She loves working with individuals who want to improve their posture, flexibility, and overall wellness so they can continue doing what they love. She believes that The Joint Chiropractic is the perfect place to make high-quality, affordable chiropractic care accessible to everyone.
In her spare time, Dr. Phelps enjoys painting, spending time in nature, camping, and hiking with her dog, Jax. She is excited to be part of the San Antonio community, helping people live life to the fullest through chiropractic care.
Dr. Eric Castillo is a dedicated chiropractor with a passion for natural, drug-free pain relief and whole-body wellness. With a strong educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University before pursuing a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Texas Chiropractic College in 2024. There, he refined his expertise in spinal health, musculoskeletal function, and wellness-based chiropractic care.
Committed to personalized, patient-centered treatment, Dr. Castillo takes a holistic approach to chiropractic, focusing on spinal adjustments, joint mobility, and posture correction to support the body's natural ability to heal. Utilizing non-invasive techniques, he helps patients find relief from back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, and joint dysfunction while also emphasizing preventative care and long-term health benefits.
