Dr. Martin Munoz is a Texas licensed and board-certified chiropractor who was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK. Since his high school days, Dr. Munoz had a passion to help and serve those in his community. He grew up with 3 older cousins who were chiropractors He followed in their footsteps, pursuing the profession of Chiropractic. After completing his undergrad courses in Oklahoma, Dr. Munoz attended Parker College of Chiropractic, now known as Parker University in Dallas, TX. He received a Bachelor’s in Health and Wellness and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker in May 2008. Following completion of his Doctorate, Dr. Munoz worked in a few clinics in Albuquerque, NM and Lubbock, TX before opening up a private practice in Lubbock in 2009. His travels with his family took him out of state for a few years. In 2014 he returned to Texas as a Designated Doctor for the Texas Department of Insurance Division of Worker’s Compensation. Additionally, Dr. Munoz works for Genex Services, LCC handling workers’ compensation utilization review procedures. In June 2019, Dr. Munoz, joined the team at The Joint Chiropractic at the Bandera location. He will soon join the new Kitty Hawk location in Universal City. Dr. Munoz enjoys helping people get pain relief, get better and help with the transition to make chiropractic part of their everyday life. The Joint allows Dr. Munoz the opportunity to treat patients and provide affordable chiropractic care. In his spare moments, he enjoys spending time with his son Mateo, going to the movies, and enjoying all the amenities San Antonio has to offer.
Dr. Koolman’s path to The Joint is truly unique. He was raised in the Caribbean islands and when he was just graduating from high school his mother was involved in a serious automobile accident. Because of the neck injury sustained in the accident she sought medical care in the US. It was while receiving chiropractic treatments that made her respect and admire the profession especially since it was nonsurgical and no drugs. She shared this enthusiasm with her son. Dr. Koolman then entered his profession with his personal desire to enrich the lives of people. This desire to help others is from through chiropractic care which is broadly known to be drug-free and nonsurgical form to help heal and relieve a body battered by today’s life’s ever-present demands. He loves learning about cultures especially their music. He loves sports. He loves to travel. He is fluent in 4 languages.
