I’ve read through a lot of the comments and I’ve seen a lot of people talking about how their injuries weren’t fixed and I don’t think this is a clinic meant to fix injuries. On the other hand, they’re fantastic if you have day-to-day stresses in pain, and they’re very good at relieving those kinds of pains. With that being said not every Clinic is the same and will never be a one size Fits all. For my situation, they’ve done fantastic and relieved a lot of the pain that I’ve had issues with.

It is a good clinic and extremely convenient for those with a sporadic schedule. Fair priced too for what you get. The reason I am not giving five stars is because I don't end up working with the same chiropractor often because when you show up to get adjusted, you get whoever is in clinic that day or who is available. So it is a bit hard to get consistency in adjustment type and quality since you aren't working with the same doctor every time. There are also no specialty machines that I have used at other clinics and no x-ray machines for those that may need a more in-depth look at their neck and spine condition. All of the doctors I have worked with are nice and good people, but I always feel a bit rushed because of the open room concept of the clinic. Others waiting can see you get adjusted. They are a good place to get helped right away, but not the best for long term health and wellbeing in my opinion. Still, they deserve 4.2 stars which is still a fairly good review in my opinion.

He was the one to recognize that the dizzy spells and pain I was experiencing was because the adjustments i had gotten before weren't being done in a way that would help me. Working with Pamela is seriously so difficult and unclear. She doesn’t speak clearly about things and I don’t feel she is honest. Really disappointed that I walk in and have had so many poor “mistakes…” or “misunderstandings “ as she says to me that repeatedly happen. I haven’t been to the joint chiropractic or had a membership in over a year. I somehow was just charged $69. I called the office and spoke to a woman named Honesty… I told her the situation she couldn’t give more than two seconds worth of a thought as to why I was charged when I hadn’t been to this location or the joint in general in over a year. Really disappointed with her I had to repeat myself six times to say I do not want my card on file. Why would they charge me and she just ignored my questions and was not helpful and told me to call back later and would not refund my money. Not cool

STAY FAR AWAY! They say it's only 79 a month but they don't tell you about the 29 dollar fee for the first visit and you agree to 2 months in the fine print, so even in the lowest plan it's a minimum of 188 dollars. They don't even give the option for a one time visit which is sleezy sales tactics in my opinion. My bad on not reading the fine print which is why I'm making this review. On my second visit yesterday they were busy to get through a bunch of people and they made my sciatica worse. I will not be returning. Update: Only after threatening a dispute they did offer to refund the 24 off the first charge and promise not to bill me a second month which I am greatful for, however, I recommended being more upfront with their customers in the future and they gaslit me saying I did not understand what was going on which is not true at all. I remember specifically they only mentioned 80 dollars a month in person. So disrespectful.

This location is sad. My wife went in to cancel her subscription after her visit. She was encouraged by the receptionist that she should freeze her account instead of canceling. She was told that she just needed to cancel by June 23rd. When she called on June 23rd to cancel she was told it was too late, and that she needed to have cancelled 2 days prior (something she was not informed of). She told the lady on the phone that she was told she just needed to cancel on/by June 23rd, after which the receptionist responded with “that was me, and I definitely told you you had to cancel two days before”. She didn’t. Obnoxious service. We’ve had a few other poor interactions with this location. Unfortunately won’t be coming here again. Go to a different location or don’t go at all.

I scheduled a 3pm appointment for chiropractic services on Monday, May 19th. I was greeted by the receptionist and I told her I had an appointment. She proceeds to tell me that she’s going to ask me a couple of questions. I was thinking she was going to ask for my name, my history, but no. She starts asking me invasive questions about my medical history. - Have you ever been in a car accident before? Me: Yes. - How long ago was your car accident? Me: About a year ago. - What injuries did you get due to your car accident? Me: I have a few herniated discs in my back. - Oh wow. Do you have an open case for that car accident? Me: Like a lawsuit? - Yes. Me: Okay yeah. - I’m so sorry but we don’t treat people who have an open case due to a car accident. I can get you a card of someone else who will see you today. Me: So you’re not going to see me today even if it’s not related to my back injury? - That’s correct we don’t see patients with open case files. Me: Okay forget it, thanks. And I left. I just got back in my car and I checked their website. Absolutely nowhere does it say the information that the receptionist gave me. I am furious. I have TMJ in my jaw that I was hoping to find relief for, but I can’t get help for it all because of an unrelated injury that I “have an open case for”. Wow. How very disappointing.

I tweaked my back the day before to the point where I was walking sideways and I had severe inflammation on my right hand side. I’m from out of town. They got me in ASAP and honestly, I was a little hesitant when I walked in. We have had such a lovely experience at this location. I recently started taking my 13 year old daughter to see Dr. Debby. From the first visit I was very impressed. I didn’t feel any relief at all after my visit. I went to a different chiropractor the next day and he informed me my sacrum was actually out of place, and the dude at your office didn’t address that at all. He berated me about my sleep, recommending magnesium when I put on my paperwork that I have clinical insomnia and take gabapentin for it. He tried to get me on a “plan” to come back, when all I needed was a simple adjustment. I could’ve saved a lot of money that I honestly don’t have right now. He was really condescending and made me never want to come back.

The first time I went in I had a “slipped” rib. The Dr I saw first was so attentive and took his time and explained things to me and really tried to pinpoint my pain. I’ve had this problem for years. My ribs are prone to slipping out so I am no stranger to the exact pain or my experience with it. I came back today because it had slipped out again and I was hoping to get adjusted like how I did the first time I was here. This next Dr was terrible. He told me that I didn’t slip a rib and that my muscles were just tense. And then he barely even touched my back and he didn’t even feel in the place I told him my pain was at. He cracked my back a couple times and told me I was fine and that I an hour or two I would feel better. Last time with the great Dr I felt immediate relief from his adjustments. There was no sharp pain, I could twist, and I could breathe deeply without pain again. I was still a little uncomfortable but I had felt so much better when I was leaving that appointment. Leaving this appointment I felt I had waisted money and time coming here. I am still in a great deal of pain and I did not feel better at all when I left and I told him I felt no relief and he didn’t not seem to care, or to believe me. I am in my twenties and look like a 16 year old, I was not taken seriously, and I felt like I was not even listened to. I did not feel like a patient who is valued. I felt like a quick cash in. It felt like I was there for two minutes and he did not hear a single thing I said. I am very frustrated that my money was wasted for what feels like nothing. I gave it two stars because the first doctor was amazing but this doctor left a sour taste in my mouth and I won’t be returning. I paid for the flex plan so I will have to pay 20$ a month for six months but I don’t care. I will pay the 20$ and go somewhere else where I feel like I am heard and valued.

Very attentive to my concerns and problem areas. The Dr. Did a fantastic job explaining to me what was going on and helping me with a treatment plan. Unlike other chiropractors I have been to recently I would rate this one of my best experiences. Thank you for the relief and mobility you have given me today. I will be coming back many times! I came into the joint barely able to move, I had been in constant pain for weeks and within a few days Dr. Gary had me walking and laughing! It turned out. I had some ribs displaced as well as some pinch nerves, and with some frequent adjustments, as well as some muscle therapy here, I was able to get back to regular life pretty quickly. Which was crazy to me because I was genuinely in the most pain I’ve ever been in! It’s also quite affordable and I was able to obtain a student discount. I’m so very happy I found the joint when I did!!

The onboarding and front desk was great. Super easy to get in to get adjusted, convenient location, and the price is pretty reasonable. I only leave a 2-star review because, although my first adjustment was fine, I feel like the approach was very cookie cutter and the bedside manner was awful. I was given a "treatment plan" that was exactly the same as the person before me.. which can happen I guess, but it seems like they just have one approach to get you back in. But what got me was later that day I felt like my hips slipped back out of adjustment. Now I know nothing about chiropractic care and how things work, but I thought I would feel okay and progressively get better, so when I felt things shift I called to see if I could/should come back in. The doctor called me back and gave me some "advice", he said I was looking for a "quick fix" and was "throwing everything at this" when I needed to be willing to invest and put time and money into it. He told me that if I wanted to find somewhere that will adjust me multiple times, then "God bless you on that". I just wanted to know if that was normal, and if I needed to go back in or not. What I didn't need was someone making me feel stupid for asking a question, or making me feel like I was looking for a quick fix. Overall, I don't think they put too much emphasis on the care of each person going in. If you want a tailored approach, good bedside manner, and to understand what the process looks like, this isn't the place for you. If you want cheap, convenient, and cookie cutter then you found it

I have for the most part enjoyed my visits up until this last visit… I had a chiropractor today that I had never seen before, he was a young, bald man. I didn’t like the way he was speaking to the patients before me, and when it was my turn, he asked me why I’m here today, and I told him I needed just the normal adjustment for my lower back, and I asked for suggestions on what I can do to improve my posture because I feel like I’ve been slouching lately. He responded with something along the lines of “there’s this amazing phenomenon, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it, it’s called YouTube” and he said it loud enough so everyone could hear. I laughed it off because I felt embarrassed, and then he “adjusted” and was done in maybe 3 minutes. He just poked at my spine, cracked my neck once, and that’s it. I was confused as to why he didn’t do the normal adjustments that all of my other chiropractors have always done, and he said “yeah I do things a little different than your normal chiropractor” it was an experience to forget, the only thing I’ll remember from this is the pain I have now in my spine that I didn’t have before.

Went there because I couldn’t get into my normal chiro. Explained my knee problem and how my hip has gone out several times. The doctor dismissed me and didn’t really listen to me. There was a crowd there and he was very rushed. He spent maybe 10 minutes trying to help me. And then rushed me out. Left in more pain and discomfort than when I came in. While shopping at the University Mall, I figured I'd stop into The Joint Chiropractic to get my knee, hip, and wrist looked at. It can be tough finding a chiropractor who can get a good angle on me since I'm on the wider side, but Dr. Gary Arbuckle's height and strength made all the difference. I really appreciated the in-depth questioning, the before-and-after tests to show the positive change, the deep tissue pressure (although painful!) to get my hip adjusted, and the slow, smooth chiropractic adjustment. I have a few go to chiropractors that I see or recommend depending on the area that I’m in, and Dr. Arbuckle easily makes that list.

After the two-month minimum sign-on, I have found better range of motion in my neck and back after my sessions. It’s really nice and convenient to go in anytime and have them work on you quickly. You can let them know any issue and they are down to help you. I do wish they spent a little bit more time with each patient but that would make the wait times longer. Sometimes I just feels like a two minute appointment. And I’ve never waited more than 8 minutes to be seen.

I found the joint on a google search and looked at all the reviews since I didn’t know any chiropractors in our area. I also liked their first time cost of $29. I am so glad I came here! Very professional and willing to listen to my concerns. I came after having surgery on my shoulder and my back was a mess. The Dr.s have been very careful and my back is getting better and stronger - when I first came in I couldn’t walk very well because the pain in my back was so bad. All the staff are kind and supportive. I would definitely recommend the joint for any chiropractic needs. Their chiropractic services are so affordable and the location is close to home and easy to get to at the mall.

See updates below First time going to the joint, and the adjustment was great. The issue is they sell you on their $80 monthly subscription, but what they don't tell you is that visit you just had is not covered by it. Definitely some scummy nickle and dime stuff going on. Updated: Been coming here for a little more than a year now and the adjustments and convenience are great. I believe they have fixed the previous issue, but I obviously haven't had to do that initial visit again. Update 2: Dr. Arbuckle is a hack. Do not come here while he works here. All he does is treat symptoms. He does not care about properly aligning your spine or hips. He will do a couple moves to alleviate immediate pain, but he doesn't even bother to check your spine or hip alignment to actually fix the problem.

I’ve been going to chiropractors on and off for years when my back pain was too painful to live with. I wandered into the Joint and immediately signed up for their monthly program. Dr Perkins is the best. Very personable and friendly and gives me tips/stretches to help during the week in between my appointments. The constant pain is gone and I still love going just for maintenance visits. They’re super quick! I started going here when there were amazing Chiropractors working here so I bought the full year pass. They left after 4 months and the new Chiropractor is not the same. It was very disappointing. I won't be renewing my membership.

Dr. Creer and Dr.Perkins are awesome! I have a lot of neck and upper back pain and can often times pop a few of the places that hurt, but they get those spots that I can’t get no matter what I try and man I feel balanced again. Having a part of your neck loose and the other part tight all the time isn’t fun. They don’t waste time with theatrics, you get in and get out feeling like a spell was cast on your body, The receptionist Pamela is always friendly and helpful. I recommend the joint strongly to anyone looking for a chiropractor. Try it out for a month or two and if it’s not for you, then you didn’t break the bank to find that out.

Visited for the first time today to fix my neck and in the process of doing so they popped my SI joint out of place and couldn't pop it back into place. Then they told me about plans for coming back in future visits for getting that issue they created checked out. After I left, I came back 15 min later cause it was very painful to walk after that, and they let me get that fixed for free. It was very nice of them, but they still weren't able to pop it back into place. I left feeling worse than I did when I got there. I've been to lots of chiropractors in different states and so I'm familiar with how visits should be and I've had my SI joint pop out before so I know the process for that, I just can't do it myself. I ended up visiting with both chiropractors who work there. Unfortunately I'll be going somewhere else next time. I still have yet to find a good chiropractor here in Orem/Provo area.

The Joint is fantastic. Dr. Creer is super friendly and funny, and really good at what he does. Just before my first visit, I’d injured my back to the point where I could barely walk or even turn. I've been going for about 6 months now. They are decently priced and get you in and out. They always ask about your day and where you are feeling any extra pains. I started going to them for my hips (they always fall out of place over the course of a week or two) and they were able to set me up with a weekly plan. I wasn't too sure so they even gave me some free visits incase I needed more than weekly. Truly amazing customer service. I always feel better when I leave.

I walked in to get my back checked out, and haven’t walked since! I told the Chiropractor that I have a herniated disc, but he seemed to treat me like any other patient. I’ve been to many Chiropractors over the years, but he was the most unpleasant and jarring I’ve ever had. When he yanked on my right leg, I let out a yelp of pain, then without missing a beat, he yanked on my left leg. That was it! I’m not sure what damage he did, but I still cannot stand up, unassisted. I’ll be going to the ER for an MRI in the morning. This happened two days before christmas. It’s now christmas night, I’ve been bedridden for two and a half days, and I’m very worried. I’m not sure if I’ll need surgery or what, if anything can be done. I was also disappointed in how they handled the situation. The only recommendation was to, maybe go to an instacare. I had to call my wife to come pick me up. They wheeled me out to the car on a stool, then while my wife went in to pay, they tried to sell her on a monthly plan. OK, I realize that is their model, but really? Meanwhile, I’m literally about to pass out from the pain. Here’s my take away… When it comes to your back, it’s never a “one size fits all.” It felt like “crack em, and stack em.” I thought I could save a little money... now, God knows how much debt I’ll be racking up… All for a $29 adjustment. I’m also surprised there was no follow up call to see how I was doing.

Boyfriend went in to get some restricted breathing fixed, they popped out most of his ribs six ways from Sunday then when he could barely breathe afterwards they refused to help him. The position of the ribs restricted the expansion of his lungs to the point where his body thought they were failing and started having muscle spasms, causing his heart to beat erratically. 0/10 would not recommend.

Chiropractors are not all made equally. Since moving to Utah I have tried a handful of other chiropractors and wasn’t really getting what I was looking for. I travel all over the western states for work and have tried many of The Joint locations, although they are all good however I have found Dr Creer to be the best. I only get adjusted by him. Not only has he helped me, when my wife was 8 months pregnant and in hip pain so severe that she was in tears over Thanksgiving weekend and after one visit with Dr Creer the day after Thanksgiving she received immediate relief. This rating does not reflect their chiropractic practices. We didn't even make it that far due to the poor customer service at the front counter. The $29 price wasn't what brought us in... they were the only chiropractor open at the time. The two parties that came in after us got helped before we did after we were told "I'll be right with you" twice. Ended up leaving after 25 min of watching other people get helped. Other reviews seem satisfied with the chiropractic practices and the first time $29 price seems like a bargain. Just don't count on good service up front. We'll happily pay a little more for a positive experience somewhere else.

Dr. Creer is amazing! He takes time to get to know his patients and treats them accordingly. If you go to the Orem location, make sure he’s there. If not, you’ll get the guy who I got today who didn’t read my file and didn’t know that I have scoliosis until AFTER he hurt me and I was in tears. If it wasn’t for that, this would be a five star rating.

The receptionist wouldn't let me have an appointment because I said I had seen another chiropractor. It clearly says on the website to come and see them even if you've seen a different chiropractor in the past. Also, she said they recommend coming once a week and not just a one-time appt. Dr. Richter at The Joint in University Mall did an excellent job today. I have been in a lot of pain and he took the time to listen to me and figure out exactly what is going on in my back and neck. He adjusted my spine, explained to me what I can do to help my healing process, and then he follows up with his patients. Although I know it will take weeks for my spine to heal completely, for the first time it feels like it can breathe because he unlocked all the tightness in it. It already feels better than it did after just one visit. The clinic is clean and comfortable and the care is very affordable (about as much or less than most insurance copays). At first I thought he really knew his stuff. Then I realized from the many times I had to wait 30-45m that he tells every patient the exact same thing. I told him every time I get an adjustment, I get a severe migraine. He tried to tell me that its normal... They charged my card on the 29th and expecting it wouldn't be charged until the 30th, I didn't transfer the money to my account. So they called and told me my card declined. I told them I wanted to cancel, they said I had to give a thirty day notice and would have to pay not only for July but August as well. I ended up paying $116 (cheapest choice). The reason I went in in the first place was because of a rib subluxation. He only made the problem worse... I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

I have been going to The Joint at the University Mall in Orem, Utah for the past several months and have never felt better. I have had all my lumbars fused and also suffer from severe neck injuries and Dr. Lindstrom has helped tremendously to relieve the pain I was in. My daughter who suffers from neck injuries from a car accident came to visit us from out of town and she went to Dr. Lindstrom also, and was amazed with the relief after his treatment. Like many others, it was not explained to me that the joint requires a thirty day notice in order to cancel treatment plans. Because the service is prepaid I expected a refund to be an option. They would not work with me at all in order to get my money back. I'm disappointed with the joint. This clearly shows to me and hopefully to you that this company is not about its customers.

I haven't been in for 2 months and find out they have been charging me $60 per month without my knowing and then tell me I have to notify them of cancellation 30 days before he shut off so they expect me to pay another month. Just disappointed by another business taking full advantage of and walking all over the customer.

I went last year. The doctor was rude and he aggravated the muscles in my neck. I have been to another chiropractic office since then and the new doctor warmed up the muscles and relaxed them before doing the adjustment. I have had back pain every day for about 5 years. I was skeptical about going to a chiropractor but after some pushing by my family I decided to give it a shot. I chose this place because of the price. Its a great deal. I went in knowing absolutely nothing about what they would be doing. They answered all my questions and assured me that if i hated it after the first try they wouldnt bother me at all to come back. When i got in the back the doctor just looked at me and knew instantly what was wrong. He was friendly and explained how i might expect to have sore muscles after. After all the realigning i stood up and i literally felt like i had a brand new back which almost brought me to tears. I instantly decided i would be coming back for sure to finish treatment. Now its the next day and its the first day in years that i woke up without a sore back. I saw reviews about people being mad about no refunds and that they didnt make it clear to them. but as i was reading through the paper work and signing i signed that i understood i couldnt get a refund or transfer my treatments to others. They addressed laws and other reasons on why i couldnt do that. Its a prescription. If I go to a doctor for a broken arm and they give me a pain pill prescription, they arent going to let me say "oh i need to transfer that to my sisters name". I plan to stand by this company and come back every time i get a sore back again!

STAY FAR AWAY!! A few weeks ago my husband was having back pain and was desperate for relief, it was the weekend and The Joint (which should be re-named The Joke) was the only place open. He went in, filled out the new patient forms and was told by the front office that they would automatically charge his credit card every month but he could cancel at any time. He agreed and went back for his adjustment, which gave him absolutely no relief and he left. 2 days later he was taken by ambulance to the ER as his pain became unbearable and making it impossible for him to walk. They did an MRI and found he had a bulged disk putting massive amounts of pressure on his sciatic nerve which could only be fixed with surgery. Finding this out, I called The Joint and was told to come in and cancel and I would be refunded for unused sessions my husband had paid for. I went in the next day and talked to the most arrogant, clueless, pathetic, money hungry, scumbag "doctor" I'd ever met. I tried explaining the situation but was talked over and interrupted repeatedly. I tried explaining to him that I was told by HIS staff that I could cancel and be refunded our money for work that he did not do, which is when he said: "I don't care what you were told or what you want because your husband signed a contract agreeing to let us charge your card 2 more times!" I understand my husband signed a contract, but I would have thought that being in the business of treating back issues he would have had more personal values, morals, compassion and knowledge with our situation and would have been willing to work with us as we were now facing a major surgery. I got the impression that he can't be much of a doctor if he cares more about $$ than patient care if he is that desperate for a few extra dollars for work that he did not do and that my husband is no longer able to receive... Anyway, if you do decide to try this joke of a place, DO NOT sign a contract- unless you enjoy eating your hard earned money and basically donating it.

When I was looking for a chiropractor, I looked for a place that I could afford without insurance, since my company didn't offer any. The reviews of The Joint seemed pretty good, at first glance. I even came across a review from a friend. He said something to the affect. "If you can't handle pain, this isn't the practitioner for you", but based on the website, it seemed like I could have more than one, so I if I got that doctor at first, I thought I could change to another one. On my first visit, the receptionist told me about how they operated and mentioned that there were a few doctors and locations I could visit. She said that the doctor who was there most often was a little "old school" when it came to Chiropractics. She also mentioned that one of the doctors was leaving for the American Fork office. On that first visit, the doctor was great. He asked me about sitting habits and things that might affect my alignment. He had me do a few different movements and made several comments that informed me how I should be moving compared to how I was actually moving. He also noted that I seemed to hunch over, in a way that left my chest muscles really tight, which forces my shoulders forward. I can concur with that based on the work I was doing at that time. I left, having paid for a 6 month plan and feeling great. My second visit was only 3 or 4 days after the first one because the first doctor "prescribed" visits every few days for the first two weeks. On my second visit, I was treated by the doctor which my friend had reviewed. It was intense and painful but I can can handle intense in a massage so I thought this was fine. He didn't ask anything about me but the first doctor seemed to have taken a fair amount of notes, so I assumed the second doctor read them (I still think he does read the notes before each patient) but he didn't ask me much about what was going on with me. He used the table a lot, which he adjusts and then drops so that some-what precise parts of your body slam heavily against, which in theory, froces them to adjust. I am sure that this works for some things, but that's all he did by way of adjustment. I left, feeling sore and having the wind knocked out of me, but again, I can handle pain and thought this was just part of this particular visit. On my third visit (and now realizing he would be the only Chiropractor working at the Orem location) he did change it up a bit by wanting me to first stand with my hands by my side, in just a normal position. He pointed out that my hands turned in such a way that indicated that the front of my upper body was tight (like the first doctor had said). Then he had me get on the table and again, only used the drop force. I was still slightly sore with my last visit, and this time felt extra unpleasant. I was more skeptical now but I went a fourth time. The fourth time was just "get on the table" and drop force again. After that, I stopped going, sometimes because I was too busy, and sometimes because I felt like what adjustments I might need would not be helped by a visit there. Now all of that is one thing, but the main reason I wrote this review was because of the emails I get on a regular basis, telling me that the University Mall location will be closed for the day because the doctor won't be in. ALL of these emails come hours after the opening time, which makes me wonder if the doctor doesn't call out last minute (obviously, VERY often, at least for a business like this). I'm not telling you to never go there, but for sure, don't buy a 6 month plan until you have visited more than once, and be aware, you might not be able to go in when you want to, on a fairly regular basis. And be ready to handle only one type of Chiropractic care. But I will say, I never had to wait long when I checked in. So that is a small plus.

I have unsubscribed (online) three times to their emails, and yet they keep sending them. Not very professional of them. [I went there once, and decided it wasn't for me. It's obviously an retail space used as a medical/chiropractic office. Nothing wrong with that, but it confirmed to me that they are part of a franchise deal. Nothing wrong with that, either, but a little weird to me. And I didn't especially like their "treatment plans", which again, are like a franchisee would do, to get ongoing business. No appointment required.Open nights & weekends. These are things listed on all their ads. Their website even says "never need an appointment" My husband really hurt his back we drove straight there. He got turned away because we didn't have an appointment, and they said they don't take walk-ins on Saturday. False advertising, and a wasted trip. We will never be back.

I wish I could give no stars, but I can't. The Joint University Mall is a joke! Their receptionist Katie or KD is extremely condescending and makes you feel like you are a second class citizen every time you call or walk into their office with her extremely fake "have a great day!" nonsense. If this lady did not work there, their facility might actually function a bit better. Katie / KD needs to go! On another note, they do not honor their promises (ie. complimentary adjustments for their multiple times their office closed early) and give you nothing less than the ultimate run around. If they have a doctor on site for a full shift is a miracle, as they closed early, or did not even open for the business day 7+ times in one month. Rest assured, they will send an email 90 minutes or less before they decide that they were going to close. What type of business does this, send an email letting your customers know that you failed to comply with the posted hours? I would not recommend The Joint University Mall to my worst enemy.

I have been going to The Joint in Orem for probably almost a year. It is more affordable than other chiropractic care for me because of the monthly package that I have. The chiropractors do well. Sometimes there are subs who come in and they all have different procedures to adjust the patients, but it has always been helpful. When I first decided to go to The Joint, it was because my back was hurting so badly one day that it hurt to lift anything, and I was laying on the floor for quite a while. The Joint was the only chiropractic care that was open on Saturdays, which I am grateful for. After getting adjusted, I was pain free and mobile again. Thank you for helping me. =)

Fast Chiropractic care...If you're in pain and need your back or neck adjusted quickly, and no one else is open, this is the place to go. It's like the fast food of Chiropractic. However, in my case, after a few visits I realized that I was being hurt more than I was being helped. So I would go if you are in a tough spot, but for longer term care, its probably best to find someone a little more gentle.

I've been hitting up The Joint for over a year now & couldn't be more pleased!! I got adjusted here throughout my first pregnancy (which was a MUST for me) and I continue to get adjusted once a week because of my career. Love Dr. Creer & love getting adjusted @ this location. I thoroughly enjoy not having to make appointments, and the most I've ever had to wait is probably 15 minutes. Don't know about you, but I've been on time to other medical appointments and they make me wait 30 minutes... Also--9 times out of 10 I wait less than 5 minutes for my turn! I frequently travel to Idaho & I work in Salt Lake area so I'm grateful that there are other locations I can go to without trouble. Thanks The Joint & Dr. Creer!!

The "doctor" was a far better salesman than an actual doctor... very high pressure. Really though, someone goes to school for 8+ years to learn how to crack someone's back for 2 minutes? This is stuff you can learn on YouTube. This is not an actual doctors office that is able to treat real back issues. It's an adjustment facility in which you lay on a platform while the doctor fakes that you have nerve problems in certain areas, and proceeds to aggressively crack your neck and spine, or even hips. There are countless studies showing that it is purely a mind game that makes you believe you're better, but really does nothing to your body. It's a scam. After 2 minutes of the doctor explaining what his objective is, he asks "are you ready?" And asks you to lay down. He does not ask questions about what you're feeling, nor about what your goals are with meeting him. EXTREMELY unprofessional. He probably hates slaving away at this job daily, and doesn't want to spend time with anyone. After literally a 2-3 minute adjustment, the doctor will spend 15 minutes talking to you about payments, and will aggressively say "will you commit to this?" I almost laughed. As someone that's been in sales for 6+ years, I wanted to offer him a job where he'd make over 200k a year. After trying to pressure you into following his "doctors prescribed plan" which is usually a month to month agreement with a 30 day cancellation notice (around $60 a month for these 2 minute bone crack sessions) he will send you to the nice young lady at the front desk where they'll ask for your payment info expecting you to sign up. I called my good friend who is a renowned surgeon/anesthesiologist for the past 20 years and he said "I'm glad you didn't sign up. Sorry you wasted 29 bucks." It may work for some, but not me. Please, don't fall for the cheap trick of the doctor saying "You cannot know with one visit if it's going to work. You need to have multiple visits." He eliminates any possible objection that you'll try to give him at the end very early on. He makes sure that you agree with him on anything, then towards the end he says "now don't do what we just talked about and never come back..." quite impressive sales skills to be quite honest. Waste of my time and money. Neck hurts tonight as I'm lying in bed right now, and back problems still exist. Update: Initially, I left a 1 start review, with the indication that I would not return. However, I was personally responded to, aside from the response shown below. While I have not visited this location a second time to evaluate the response, I appreciate the response and will leave this as a 5 star review to reflect that until I have the opportunity to return. Summary: Unless you're interested in a monthly plan or a quick adjustment, go somewhere else. Their process is to get you out the door as quick as possible. I've had a muscle ache spring up this past week, and we happened to be at the University Place mall when I saw the sign for The Joint. It stated that walk-in appointments were welcome, so I figured that we could give it a shot. We walk in, fill out some paperwork, and then wait for about 20 minutes, since the chiropractor was out to lunch. The receptionist was nice, and made sure we knew it would be a wait, which wasn't a problem. The chiropractor returned, and seemed friendly enough. We went back, and as soon as he understood it was a walk-in appointment, his demeanor seemed to change. Their forms asked if I've seen another chiropractor, which I have earlier last year, and on seeing that stated "You'll probably just go back to him on Monday, huh?" Then I got the pitch on how they operate on monthly plans and their focus on preventative care, as opposed to reactionary care to symptoms. He asked if I wanted to have this preventative care and get to the root cause of the issue, or "are you just here for a quick fix?" Stated like that, obviously I would like to get to the root cause but metaphorically speaking, if the house is on fire, I'd like to get the fire under control and then worry about fixing the electrical box causing the issue. He did a quick adjustment along the spine and neck, but didn't focus on the problem area at all. Upon asking him about it, he just stated "I don't fix symptoms." In all, I spent about 2-3 minutes being adjusted, and the rest of the 30ish minutes we were there consisted of being lectured and pitched their monthly plans. Instead of taking the opportunity to build their client base and showing the value of the service that they are attempting to offer, the attitude of the chiropractor and the service will ensure I'm not coming back. If you do go in, my advice is to not mention you are there just for a walk-in appointment or that you've visited another chiropractor.
