I just left! This is my first experience with The Joint, first experience with any chiropractor! I am on vacation and slept wrong. My family noticed I was in pain because of my terrible mood. My uncle took me here for me… and for everyone else haha. The Doctor talked me through every movement. Explained what I needed. And when he cracked my neck, the pain I’d been living with for decades melted away! If you’re curious like I was, it’s like $29–give it a try. It can’t hurt! But I’m telling you, you’ll be happy you did! Like I said, I’m on vacation; but the good news is, they have locations in my home town! The Joint, you’ve got a patient for life!

Normally when I come into this location I see Dr. Saunders. He is a top notch doctor with great skill and very personable. I came in this morning with my son expecting to see him and he was not in. Instead I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Smith and it was a wonderful experience. She did exceptionally well giving me a very good adjustment and my son was very pleased too. I would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting a memorable adjustment that will leave you feeling good. Both of these Doctors know their craft. They are both great!!! I’ve been in a few times over the years, and I know the goal is to sell the Wellness package, so I hesitated to even go in but my neck was in severe pain and I needed some relief. I realize that it can take several visits to fully adjust but this visit was nearly a waste of time and especially money. I told the chiropractor what the issue was, he had me get on the table, made about four or five quick adjustments, maybe a total of 3 minutes, told me to put ice on it that night, didn’t ask me how I felt, if I had any questions or suggest anything like stretching or other ways to minimize the pain and got right into the Wellness Package sell. Suggested I get the basic package, that I should come back Saturday and Sunday, and that I should come back a few more times beyond what the package offers. He had prices all memorized, didn’t ask if I had any questions, I’d those days would work, then got up and told the person at the front that I was getting the Wellness Package. I will be seeking out a Chiropractor somewhere other than The Joint.

Went in for a session to have my neck adjusted. They said they had to get xrays before adjusting me and sent me to a place. I paid to have xrays done and sent to chriopractor and never heard back. Waste of money. My pain, time and money came and went without any help.

I wish I could give less than one star because we were not allowed to be seen today. I have been going to the joint since 2016. Today was Labor Day. Most of the joints are closed for the holiday. But there were two opened in Salt Lake. So we drove down there to take my son who is a minor to get adjusted because he was in pain and was having trouble walking straight. My son is on his mom’s account. We sometimes pay with cash. They told me that they are on a flex plan and that it would be $20 to catch up on the flex plan and $20 to pay for his visit. So I gave them $40 cash. Then she came back and told me that she needed a a card to pay for it. I told her that there was no card today only cash. I asked if could cancel the Flex plan settle the bill and then pay as a walk in and the receptionist said that the account was Established in Taylorsville and that we would need to settle up with a card because the system won’t allow them to process cash. She handed me my money back and said that without a card she couldn’t do anything because the system won’t allow it. I guess cash isn’t as good and they are only worried about getting reoccurring payments each month instead of helping people need help. They have been in the flex plan for quite some time and some months they don’t even get adjusted so they have already made plenty of money off of that plan. Taylorsville is closed so there is nothing we could do. The receptionist called her manager and she repeated the same answer. They were absolutely useless This review is not about the chiropractors. They may be good but because of the gatekeepers (the receptionist, manager and the system) we were not able to find out. My son was not able to be seen and had to walk out still in pain. We wasted time and gas coming all the way out just to be turned away even though we had the money to pay for the service. Before I left I saw that in the reception desk they had a little sign asking for google reviews So I thought it would be a good idea to give them what they are asking for. So here you go.

Today was my first time here and although I do feel better, I’d say just be prepared for a really aggressive adjustment. I didn’t get really any warning of what the doctor was gonna do and I think it’s really important to tell your patients to relax before you adjust their neck and what you’re doing. Especially when it’s really out of alignment. Luckily I was relaxed but it all happen so quickly it made me really nervous.

Dr Farnsworth is the best! He was recommended by a friend. I started going to him due to pain in the left leg when sitting. He fixed my hips and SI joint. On another day I went to a different location. It was the one 5600 South location because Farnsworth was on his day off. The guy there kinda sorta fixed a few things. Went back to Farnsworth today. Everyone here is A M A Z I N G!!! Harley the receptionist is so awesome and welcoming, when I was writhing in pain she made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I have utilized chiropractors on and off for my whole life. Doctor Farnsworth is the best chiropractor that I have found in many years. He was able to make an adjustment to mitigate a problem with my SI joint that seemed to becoming chronic. It has been improving over the past couple of weeks (with 2 visits per week). One great thing about chiropractics is that can get almost instant relief from pain and discomfort. I traveled extra distance today to the location that Dr. Farnsworth is working. It was worth the extra effort.

I went in to get adjusted yesterday, and I feel no different than before I was adjusted. The Dr was friendly, but I felt he didn't really know how to alleviate my hip pain, even though I had been into the Joint numerous times prior(different location). When he asked me how I felt, I told him "about the same" and he replied "well it's all subjective anyway". Needless to say I won't be returning.

A successful business always comes down to staff. The front desk is polite and helpful. Since the joint is nationwide, I’ve been able to see Docs everywhere and have my favorites. Downtown SLC has the special gem of Dr. Farnsworth, an experienced and wise doctor who understands not only the body but goes so far as to psychologically relax one before an adjustment. A true master. I’ve seen Dr. Saunders here and several in Taylorsville that are also exceptional. I had occasional numbness in my arms from a heavy boxing bag falling on my shoulders in 2019. Within 3 months here I no longer have numbness or tingling in either arm. I’ve also noticed a significant reduction in headaches. I appreciate the doctors and staff that make the Joint an affordable and friendly medical option for those of us with normal X-rays that still need medical intervention and care.

As many reviews have stated, the people here are more focused on getting money from you VS fixing or listening in regards to where or why the pain and discomfort is or has been coming from. They’ll speak to you about signing up for packages and ask surface level questions and ask that you come back so they can do the basic correction and hear you talk about whatever first world problems these chiropractors think is important to you. No better than the girls in the South Park episodes where the Raisinettes make their appearances. My neck has been hurting for weeks and went in for one visit and they said oh you need to keep coming back. If they had listened, VS what an urgent care provider or a primary doctor would’ve done, they would’ve recommended I go see someone about a muscular strain instead of making the assumption the pain was skeletal.

Walked in checked in was greatly relieved 10 minutes later. I had twisted my lower back, and it was pinching my sciatica. My sciatica is not pinched, but will take a couple of days to ease. A little ice and I'll be good as new.

This place cares more about visits and $$ than making you better. Each visit was the same 1-size fits all approach adjustment. Each visit I clearly addressed issues I had in my hip and back. That didn't change anything from the service with the people next to me. Additionally, I was called 2-3 times in the first 2 weeks of joining, asking me to refer people, while nothing was asked about my health. 2 stars instead of 1 because some of the chiropractors seemed like they listened to my issues but it was 50/50 at best.

I always feel better after an adjustment, but Dr. Slaugh makes me feel safe and comfortable. He checks in with me and is transparent in what he’s going to do and asks if it’s okay. Also, he explains why/where the issue is. He isn’t just jumbling me around like a pretzel. He explains. He is considerate. And he is kind. I really recommend getting an adjustment from him at the joint.

These guys are absolute gems, a gift to humanity. For the same cost a copay I can go in basically whenever I want, wherever I want, once a week and get adjusted. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with scoliosis and a chest wall disorder. After thousands of dollars and several visits to orthopedics and physical therapists, I turned to these guys. I've had more pain relief and increased mobility from two months with these guys than any of the other "professional", insurance-approved, doctors and specialists. When I moved to Utah, my primary objective was to find a gym and chiropractor. I discovered The Joint in 2012 and have been a loyal customer through today in 2022 I've traveled all over the country and visited Joints from TN to CA. The SLC doctors have been the best at relieving my pain, particularly my lower lumbar and keeping it stable. I visit weekly without fail. I've seen my share of doctors come and go at The Joint but this location somehow manages to get great doctors. I'm always disappointed to lose a doctor that has served me well, but many of them that have come through are exceptional. I've recently needed to"adjust" to Dr Saunders and Dr. Farnsworth, and am very happy. They take time with you, if you take time with them. You are in great care with these doctors and at this location, to which they rotate.

Heyy guys! I highly recommend this place, the doctors are amazing! I don't actually have any serious back issues but I do sleep wrong occasionally and I'll wake up in so much pain I can't even move my neck.. mind you I'm super nervous about popping my own back or neck so this was a little nerve racking for me but after my first visit within 15 minutes the pain was completely gone! I now go once a week and feel so much better, posture wise especially!! 6?
