Dr. Steve Walburn graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas, in 2012. Prior to attending chiropractic school and joining our team, he worked as a mechanical engineer building parts for missile systems in Overland Park. He came aboard Joint Ventures in 2015 and has worked in our Bountiful, Farmington, Layton, Riverdale, South Jordan, University Mall, and American Fork clinics prior to starting as the Clinic Director for Taylorsville.
"I decided to go to chiropractic school because I was a runner and did marathons frequently. The constant pounding started to cause problems with my back, for which my doctors suggested surgery. I was hesitant, obviously, to take that route, and instead consulted a chiropractor in Omaha, Nebraska who took on my case. Within three weeks, I could walk better than I had in a long time and within another three weeks, I was back to normal and able to run again. That experience inspired me to become a chiropractor to help others regain the life back that pain had taken from them."
In a recent Consumer Reports study, chiropractic outperformed prescription medication, deep-tissue massage, yoga, pilates, and over-the-counter medication therapies, in treating back pain. 1
