Dr. David Bailey joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2014 and landed at the West Jordan clinic location in 2017. A graduate of Brigham Young University who got his degree in sports science, he received his doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West in 1990.
Dr. Bailey says the best thing about being involved in the chiropractic field is helping people. “There’s nothing quite like being able to have an impact on someone’s life using your own hands to improve their health,” he says. “Doing this wonderful work allows me to help my family, making it a win-win situation. Doubly rewarding.”
He previously worked in Santa Rosa, Calif., and Orem. Dr. Bailey moved around quite a bit while growing up, living in Wyoming, New Mexico, Idaho and California.
Not surprising, the outdoors is where he likes to spend much of his spare time, counting water skiing, snow skiing and the martial arts among his hobbies. He and wife Anny have four children, three of them still living at home.
Dr. Bailey said his a-ha moment in chiropractic took place when he was much younger. ”Chiropractic care “saved my mother after a devastating car accident,” he says.
He couldn’t be more comfortable working in the West Jordan location. “It felt right the minute I walked in,” he said.
In Case You Didn’t Know
The one thing Dr. Bailey keeps stocked in his refrigerator is V8 Juice. “It refreshes my entire body and soul,” he says.
If he could share dinner and a V8 with any dinner party in history, Dr. Bailey would bring together an eclectic mix of extraordinary men: Bruce Lee, Jesus Christ, President Abraham Lincoln, and Chief Sitting Bull.
“I would invite Bruce Lee to learn from a great martial artist and teacher, and Jesus to sit at the Master’s feet,” Dr. Bailey says. “Abraham Lincoln so that I could talk to the greatest president in American history, and Sitting Bull to teach me about the earth and how to live in harmony with her.”
He says the coolest thing he has ever done involved his kids at a very young age: “Adjust my children as babies and hold them in my arms and look into their amazing eyes knowing their life force was flowing 100 percent.”
