We showed up today at 10:30 for my husband to get adjusted and the doors were locked. Google says they are open and according to the hours on the door, they should be open. So we decided to run some errands and then come back around 1:15. They were still closed. This is extremely aggravating as we don’t live super close and planned our whole day around this. Based on other reviews, it sounds like this is a common occurrence lately. There needs to be some communication with the customers as to why this is happening. We are paying for services that we can’t even get.

I like the doctors at this location and they give great adjustments. However, it is disappointing when I show up and there is a sign on the door that you're closed, but online it says you're open. It has happened at least twice in the last few weeks that you aren't open as advertised. I also am not sure how anyone is using their FSA for their plan- my expenses keep getting rejected because the receipt doesn't have sufficient info- doesn't even reflect my name as the patient.

I’m not a current patient, but I was interested in trying this location since it’s in the same shopping center as my usual chiropractor. I called twice yesterday and left voicemails both times. I never received a call back. I tried again today and no one answered. I understand places get busy, but as someone simply trying to schedule a first visit, not getting any response is disappointing. Communication matters, especially in healthcare. If I can’t get a return call just to make an appointment, it doesn’t inspire confidence. I’ll be sticking with my current chiropractor since they consistently respond and follow up. I was genuinely open to giving this place a try, but the lack of response made that decision for me.

I initially went in for an adjustment. Ended up purchasing the package for $79 back in March of last year. I was never told that this would be a monthly charge. So I used the 7 visits and haven't been back there since April of 2025. However it was brought to my attention that they have been charging me every month since. So from April on I haven't been there. When I called them to try and get thing straightened out I was told that someone from management would call me back because the lady couldn't close the account, stating there was a balance owed. I asked how that was possible if I haven't been there for almost a year. Long story short still have yet to receive a call back and get the run around when I call the office.

I started going here a couple weeks ago. The doctor I first met was great and considerate for my first visit. (I don’t recall his name) When I went back , maybe it was a bad day, an off day per se but I didn’t like the vibe he gave when I asked to have something else adjusted. Almost as if he was put out to do his job. Well I returned today after considering not going back (I’ve paid for a 2 month plan so didn’t want to waste my money nor be in discomfort) and was adjusted by Dr Anderson! By far the greatest experience I’ve ever had at a chiropractic office. Dr Anderson listened to MY needs and not only did a great adjustment he also got the knots out of my neck and shoulder ??? Be Warned…..Last year in June I was in so much pain that I would wake up with such excruciating pain in my knee that I decided to give the joint chiropractic a try. Reluctantly I went and I was welcomed by a nice gal at the front desk who greeted me. I told her I didn’t want to commit and that I wanted to try them out. She told me not to worry and that I could just do a 6 session trial and gave me the paperwork to fill out. I noticed as I went through that it was having me sign up as a monthly plan. I brought up my concern and she assured me it was standard procedure and I was just getting the agreed sessions. I did the 6 sessions and thought that was that. In January this year (6 Months after services)I received a text saying they tried to run my card For $79 and it was declined. At first I thought this was a scam. I called to ask what was happening where I was told that they had been automatically been charging my HSA card every month till it apparently ran out ( 6 months + $79 = $474). I didn’t know I was getting charge because I only check this card when I use it. I told them there was a mistake and tried to explain the situation. I was put in touch with the office manager who was really short with me and told me they don’t offer a 6 session pass and that she would only reimburse 2 of the 6 months and throw in a six session pass (which is what I thought I initially signed up for). I told her to look at my account and check when the last time I came in and that If I knew I was being charged for a monthly service, don’t you think I would have come in at least once. I tried several times to explain. She made sure I knew that she was the office manager and that I signed the agreement and that was the best she would do and to take it or leave it. I felt like my hands were tied and that I had to take the offer because it was better than nothing. I refused the pass for 6 sessions. There is no way I will go back after how they treated me. This is NOT how to run a business.

I love the Joint & have been a client for 4 years! I understand that the Joint is not a full-blown Chiropractic operation. That said I’ve never had an issue if I tell a doctor of an issue I’m suffering from that may be a gray area as to what they are technically supposed to be limited to doing. I’ve been to the 56th West office a few times before & had great service from Dr Spencer. However today’s visit was with Dr Erik & was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had w/ any chiropractor. Firstly I was sitting in the back waiting area for a few minutes & there were 1-2 others who appeared to be waiting for Dr Spencer…after a few minutes I wondered why Dr Erik wasn’t calling me to his table since he was just standing there dinking around on his phone. I went back up front & asked if I had been specifically checked in to the other doctors queue. She said no & went back & asked Dr Erik if he could see me. When she left he said “I thought you were waiting for Dr Spencer because you sat by his table.” He could have asked that rather than assumed it. Next I told him that my trouble areas were my shoulder & my big toe today along with my low back. His response was there’s not much we can do other than adjustments. He immediately went to cracking my back, he didn’t do the knee bend to see where it was out of alignment, check leg length or feel along my spine to see what’s what. He adjusted the lumbar/sacral joint 3 times w/ no movement, then just moved on to my middle & upper back. While doing the mid & upper he did NOT have me breathe in & then exhale like every other chiropractor has Joint ones included…he told me to roll over I asked him if he could do my low back again because it got no movement & was locked up…he actually sighed & expressed his frustration through noises. I rolled over & he went right to cracking my neck aggressively…he didn’t gently roll it to ensure it relaxed before twisting…it’s explicitly in my file that you have to be careful & gentle with my neck because it doesn’t like to relax & a Joint chiropractor who was subbing for a day in Sandy actually gave me a very severe strain once. Thankfully it doesn’t feel like he strained it today. I will NEVER see Dr Erik again. He was rude, extremely rushed (and there was no one else waiting!!) & could’ve hurt me…oh and the kicker he wasn’t even going to look at my big toe…he said there’s no adjustment I can do for that…he finally adjusted it after I told him other Joint doctors have done adjustments by pulling & twisting before. I’m not sure if Dr Erik just needs to adjust his attitude to care for patients better or needs additional chiropractic technique training…either way I hope he improves for other future patients sakes!!

Each Dr is different and that has mostly been a good thing for me because I don’t always have the same problem and they each have different strengths. I don’t go as regularly as I’d like so I bought 20 visit pack and that had been really nice to have for when I just need to get in and fix things here and there or am having a bad day. They tell me it’s ideal to come in more regularly and why but they don’t make me feel bad for not being able to. Currently, I’m struggling with headaches and the Dr I’ve seen for it the last 2 weeks talks me through what he feels and gives me ideas on how to try to manage them at home in between. I think it’s Dr Dex, (forgive me but with the headaches and lightheadedness my mind is also fuzzy and I’m bad with names anyway). He adjusted me very thoroughly and I went from barely being able to walk around my house to feeling mostly normal again. It took a half a day to start feeling a difference but then I felt better for 3 days each time I visit. That might sound like very little but when I have to spend most of my time sitting or in bed 3 days of walking around is significant. I don’t always feel heard by the Dr but so far they have heard me enough to work in the problem and if I don’t feel like they got it I’ll ask if they can check again.

Megan at the desk is amazing!! She is the most helpful person ever. She answered all of my questions as well as helped me with the paperwork you have to fill out for your first time going. I've also never seen someone so organized at their desk before, she has everything in place and knows what she is doing. I love The Joint. I work in a well known warehouse and am on my feet all day with lots of heavy lifting and bending. When I first started there 2 years ago, I couldn’t handle the back pain. I was at another chiropractor's office faced with having to either pay for many visits up front before he would do a single adjustment or having to find another chiropractor... I was so torn and indecisive. I called The Joint from the waiting room at the other office and just over the phone knew I needed to try it out. The girls at the front desk were so genuinely friendly. Diane Brewer explained everything so well and made me feel so comfortable. It was my first adjustment in almost 20 years. She recommended a similar schedule as the other chiropractor, but this time I had zero hesitation to jump on board. Amazing experience! I even purchased the wrong package (totally my fault) and they are refunding it to fix my mistake and did my adjustment today on the house until I get on the plan I'd intended to purchase. Highly recommend!

I've been experiencing major pain in my feet, upper and lower back for the past several years. I've not done anything about it, because I've tried other options, and have not received any help until today. So I just dealt with the pain for several years. Not only did it create depression, but also made daily living extremely hard. After going to one appointment today, doctor Diana Brewer provided pain relief through her skilled adjustment that I have not felt in about 7 years. In addition to her kind and caring personality, she has a more gentle approach that works better for me. The last chiropractor I saw (about a year ago - not at this company either) was far too progressive, and didn't explain things as clearly as doctor Brewer did. I would recommend coming to the West Valley Location. Also a shout out to Janice at the front desk for her friendliness, warmness, and kindness. She didn't rush me to fill out my paperwork, and made me feel extremely welcomed! Many thanks!

If you're going in for specific issue, I don't suggest this place at all. I recently moved here and long car rides will shift my SI joint. My chiropractor back home knows just what to do to fix this issue and now I know what to ask for when it happens. I went in and explained the situation and they told me "I'm going to do what I know" which was just a basic adjustment. It actually hurt a bit since my SI joint issue wasn't addressed first. If you need a basic adjustment then this place could be a good fit for you, but not if you have a more specific situation. They very much treat it as one size fits all.

It's taken me longer than it should have to write a review, but I absolutely love this location, especially with Dr. Madsen there, I would see him at the Jordan Landing location previously and even though West Valley is a bit further from me, it's worth the trip. He listens to what is bothering me, and every time I leave, I always feel better physically and mentally. He is always kind and easy going both to me and my kiddo, which is a huge thing for me! Second session and have never visited a chiropractor before this. I've got to say wow! What a pleasant experience. The joint is an incredibly friendly and professional environment. Great staff. I was experiencing pain in my back, upper. And they told me on arrival that they don't cure pain they only adjust. But wow all I can say is that after my first visit and adjustment the pain immediately started subsiding. I went back for my second visit today, and after that I'm definitely feeling allot better. What a difference an alignment makes. Just like your car needs an alignment, after all these years I've finally realized my body does too.

In my opinion: I thought I could get a monthly adjustment without having to mess with other Chiropractor care plan requirements (have to sign up for a contracted amount of adjustments) if I came to The Joint Chiropractic. It is true you can get one adjustment and never come back, but here is my experience. If I sign up for care plans or some contracted amount of required visits with other Chiropractors in the area, they can get me out of pain on the first adjustment (yet, I am still stuck with all the requirements of going back). The adjustment at other Chiropractors starts with warming up the body with a series of stretches, pulls, etc., lasts about 5 to 10 minutes and I am manipulated several of ways (changing positions several times) until the pain is gone. When I go to the Joint, I get about a 2 minute adjustment and only change positions twice, and manipulated on one side (other chiropractors adjust the entire spine not just a pain area). Then they tell me that it is going to take about 2 to 3 weeks to get out of pain. These "little" adjustments over the course of a few weeks to a month pretty much lock you into another type of contract until you get better. What did I expect? Just like other Chiropractors that I visited in the past that could get me out of pain on the first visit with a full spinal manipulation, I was hoping to find here. The adjustment almost felt silly compared to what I have experience in the past.

The Joint Chiropractic-West Valley is fantastic. I’ve been to several chiropractors over the years and only had moderate success until I came here. Since coming here, I have been seen by several Dr’s, and all have been extremely helpful. As someone that travels for a living, having access to consistent care regardless of which state/city I’m in, it’s a benefit to know I can get in without an appointment to a Dr. that can review my history and provide effective treatment every time.

BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING.....I came in on July 25, 2018 for the first time and it seems that everything was ok. The Chiropractor advised me to come back for 2 visits every week for 2 weeks. So i ask for the monthly plan because it was way cheaper that way. i paid them over the phone because i spoke to my family first and when i came in after paying. they told me that you need at least a minimum of 2 months before i can cancel. They almost didnt give my money back because the form that stated that i didnt sign. So they had no choice but to return the funds. they tried to say that they advised me but i would of never paid.

Going to see Dr. Marler was the best decision I have ever made. I have never left a service establishment so completely overwhelmed with gratitude. After 6 years of chronic back pain, migraines, and overall misery, I finally dragged myself in to this specific Joint location at the glowing recommendation of a coworker. I was so uncomfortable today that I went in on my lunch... and 45 minutes later I feel better than I have in a long time, I have a better understanding of my pain, it's causes, and a plan of treatment, and I am a loyal client for the foreseeable future. Janice, the lovely receptionist working when I came in, was bright, professional, and greeted most of the people coming in by name (which is INCREDIBLE). However, what impressed me most of all was her willingness to go above and beyond her required customer service in order to help me be seen when my bank account was shorter on funds than I thought. She even swapped my complimentary hot/cold pack for a pre-chilled one when she realized I was going back to work so that I could use it. It was an absolutely unparalleled experience. Dr. Marler is an exemplary professional. He was kind, listened intently, and explained everything he was doing and why. I could overhear him working with other patients and he obviously has a great deal of care for knowing them on a personal level. He works quickly, efficiently, and with immense skill and confidence. Overall, I couldn't recommend this place more highly and I've only been once. I would go every day if I could.

Great service, super friendly, and they listen. Ive started feeling relief after the 3rd visit so I am very happy with the services provided. After a bad lift injury I’ve delt with a pinching pain in my neck and low back for about 4 years. I’ve been stubborn to seek help for it as the few doctors and chiropractors I did see during this time said the symptoms were from wieght gain, and to feel better I should lose weight. Instead of believing that the pain was caused from a single bad lift, and something was out of place. After the first 2 adjustments the pain was still there, I felt like it was just something I would need to live with. But after the 3rd visit, and a nice adjustment to my upper neck and low back the pain has drastically reduced! Something with that adjustment got things back into place. I would recommend this place to anyone with back or neck pain. With my experience it did take 3 visits to feel relief. If you have pain I would recommend giving it a try and hopefully it will help.

I woke up Wednesday feeling a pinch and deep penetrating pain in my neck. I let two days pass until I couldn't take it anymore. I have a regular chiropractor that I go to, but when he is closed, this is a good alternative. And it's good in an emergency. It's close by and easy to get to, but I would not use it as a regular chiropractor. They are obviously a business and not so much a one on one family practice.
