Meet The Doctors

Dr. Vernice J. Taylor, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Willow Lawn

Vernice J. Taylor D.C is a native of Virginia. She completed her undergraduate work in Biology at Virginia State University. Upon graduation, Dr. Taylor worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for several years at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. There, she aided in filling many prescriptions for patients and was awakened to the notion that drugs and surgery may not be everyone’s answer to health and well-being. Her search for an alternative lead her to chiropractic. Dr. Taylor is a 2003 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic, currently Parker University, in Dallas, Texas.

“There is no effect without a cause. Chiropractors adjust causes. Others treat effects.” B. J. Palmer

Dr. Chris Karmilovich, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Willow Lawn

Hailing from New Jersey, Dr. Chris is a born northerner, but lived in the south for 35 years. Dr. Chris originally was following a MD track in college, but due to a disc injury helped by chiropractic, he changed his path. He graduated from Life University in 1992 with his Doctor of Chiropractic. While in the final year of school, he took advantage of other courses offered via seminars. He completed a 100 hour post graduate course in Cox-Flexion Distraction technique, 100 hour certificate study in Physiologic Therapeutics and a 120 hour advanced course study in Spinal and Skeletal Radiologic Disorders.

After school, Dr. Chris opened a private practice in southeastern Virginia which he maintained for 29 years until deciding to relocate to the greater Richmond area. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Dr. Morgan Nails, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Willow Lawn

Education: Palmer College of Chiropractic Davenport Campus – Doctor of Chiropractic (Summa Cum Laude) University of Akron-B.S. in Biology

Licenses: Virginia Board of Medicine – License to Practice Chiropractic

Dr. Morgan was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama. She relocated to Virginia in August of 2019, after first practicing in Connecticut for a year and a half. Dr. Morgan studied pre-medicine at The University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio, before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in February of 2018.

Dr. Morgan has treated many conditions, and is well versed in many chiropractic techniques. She is a mother first, which only adds to her true passion for pediatrics and prenatal care. She has experienced a multitude of various cases in all ages of people, and has acquired excellent results through chiropractic care, even her own. Ask her about how she achieved a better quality of life through chiropractic care!

Dr. John Robinson, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Willow Lawn

After practicing in California, North Carolina, Colorado, and New Mexico, Dr. John is finally back home in his native Virginia. He was raised in the Cumberland Mountains in Virginia’s southwest corner, and he is honored to serve the people of Richmond after 20 years of study and practice.

His interest in physical medicine began while working through his college years as a physical therapy aide. He assisted patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and even private homes with restoring their independence. So impressed with the power of helping people with mobility issues, he found his graduate research in animal psychology at William and Mary was just not as satisfying and began his path toward becoming a chiropractor.

He has been in chiropractic practice since graduating from Life West in Hayward, CA in 2007. He joined The Joint Chiropractic team in 2019 and loves the fast-paced walk-in model. Through the Joint, he can help more people than he ever could have in solo practice. This is a model where the chiropractic adjustment is fundamental to health and well-being.

In his downtime, he and his husband love being outdoors as much as possible. During the pandemic, they explored nearly every corner of Colorado where you can disburse camp almost anywhere. Their two senior dogs, Winston and Salem, have been through every adventure with them and all enjoying Richmond as home.
