Dr. Cook has practiced in the Northern Virginia Area for the last several years. She holds a Bachelors degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise, concentration in Exercise and Health Promotion from Virginia Tech, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with High Honors. She received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating as Valedictorian. At Palmer, her involvement included Motion Palpation Institute Representative, academic tutoring, working as a teaching assistant and radiology technician. She also participated in the Patriot Project, where she advocated for chiropractic care for active-duty military personnel and veterans. She most recently completed education as a clerk at the Central Iowa VA Hospital, treating veterans across a wide demographic of age and conditions. Her medical rotations included: Interventional Radiology, Primary Care, Cardiology, Psychology, Physical therapy, Dietetics, Radiology and Pharmacology.

As a former NCAA athlete at both the University of Colorado and Virginia Tech, her love for sports is seen in her passion for treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. She has first-hand experience of the benefits of chiropractic care from her own orthopedic surgical recovery, which drives her passion to help others in their own recovery from pain and regaining function.

Her certifications include Doctor of Chiropractic in the State of Virginia, Dry Needling Practitioner, Motion Palpation Institute Practitioner, RockTape Performance Movement Technique, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. In her spare time, enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, charcoal drawing, acrylic painting, and being involved in her local church.

I was drawn to chiropractic because of my own experience with the profession. I was injured while weightlifting during my college years and I thought I would end up with surgery on my lower back. I consulted with a chiropractor and after a couple of months of treatment I was pain-free. I was sold on chiropractic!

I had heard about The Joint Chiropractic and it’s health model and decided this is where I wanted to deliver chiropractic adjustments. I wanted to focus on patient care without the interference from health insurance companies. I love being a chiropractor because of the natural ability of the body to heal itself when given the chance through manual adjustments. Working at the joint helps me focus on patient care without all the other problems with the healthcare industry. I am fortunate to be a chiropractor working at The Joint Chiropractic and helping many people achieve a healthier lifestyle.
