Massage Envy founder helms company; franchisee opens first local clinic
The Joint Corp., a leading franchisor of chiropractic clinics, has opened its first San Diego location and the company is planning several more.
The new chiropractic clinic is in Mission Valley, in the Costco-IKEA shopping center. Other clinics are planned to open in August and September in Mira Mesa, Oceanside, and Encinitas. The Joint was named among the Hot Trends to Own in Franchising for 2012 by Entrepreneur Magazine.
The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company is operated by Massage Envy founder John Leonesio. The Joint Corporation was founded in Tucson in 1999. It aims to make chiropractic care simple, affordable and convenient. Like Massage Envy, it is open on weekends and has a membership model in which dues are automatically deducted from a member's bank account.

The local clinic is owned and operated by Steve Donnelly. "The Joint offers a true holistic approach to healthcare at an unbelievable price for the whole family," said Donnelly.
