He received an undergrad degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2009 and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2013.

Dr. Roger has always had a passion for fitness, nutrition, and living a healthy lifestyle, but says the thing he loves most about being in the chiropractic field is "Being able to help educate patients on how to maintain a healthy spine for a lifetime."

A product of northern California, Dr. Roger grew up in Stockton, California. While pursuing his chiropractic degree, he remained passionate about helping others maintain healthier lives by working as a Personal Trainer. In his spare time, he continues to enjoy working out, practicing yoga, and spending time with his fiancé, Sindy.

After years of playing sports and collecting numerous injuries playing football since the age of 10, Dr. Roger began to experience numbness and weakness in his right arm while in college. “A friend, recommended I see a chiropractor and that experience changed my life! I experienced firsthand how chiropractic could work wonders without the need for surgery or medication…that was when I decided to become a chiropractor myself.”

Dr. Roger is well versed with diversified adjusting techniques; is comfortable with infant care; can provide prenatal and postnatal care; he is experienced in treating a wide range of ailments including (but not limited to) arthritis, sciatica, neck pain, migraines, upper and lower back pain. Dr. Roger is also fluent in Spanish.

Prior to joining The Joint Chiropractic model, Dr. Roger ran his own successful practice in Medellin, Colombia. Which he considers one of the coolest things he’s ever done. What started as an after-graduation trip to South America, turned into perhaps his greatest adventure. While visiting Colombia, he found his entrepreneurial spirit and made the decision to open a chiropractic clinic there to share his knowledge and provide chiropractic care to the underserved Medellin community.

The one thing that Dr. Roger says he must have in his refrigerator is La Croix sparkling water.

He says that if he could invite any four people from history to his ideal dinner party, he would invite Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Elon Musk, and Buddha… “together, I think It would be cool to discuss and perhaps solve some of the mysteries of the universe.”

I was told the doctors rotate so you never know who you’re gonna get. Monday morning I got Dr. Nshan… He was absolutely fantastic!     So, I’m still in the process of getting treatments. Since I travel (car and air) a lot and need regular adjustments, this model is great for me. I went into this location originally because of a singular issue in my back. Since then, I’ve really liked the weekly approach to getting adjustments. I pay the monthly fee and it’s working for me. I do have to say that because this location rotates the doctors daily- and the days that doctors are there on those days, I pick the days to come in based upon the doctors that are working. I’m sure all the doctors are great, but I have found the ones that work for me the most are Michael and Roger. Melony has also been great and has given me extra stretches to help me address my issues. This is a good place to go in our community. Front staff is also friendly and welcoming. Give it a try!

    I just had my first visit to this location, and I had such a great experience! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I was dealing with some lower back pain, but after my treatment, I feel so much better! I also appreciated that they post which doctor is working each day.     All of the doctors here are great! They answer any questions you have and they really do care if you are happy with your adjustment. If you are new to chiropractic I think this is the best place you can start. They educate you about your own body and let you know certain things that you are doing without even noticing that can be affecting you in your daily life.     This was my first time going to The Joint Chiropractic. The receptionist was so nice and inviting. She greeted me with a smile. The wait was not long at all. Dr. Roger explained the functions of the skull, spine, and tail bone. Then he went into detail of what he was going to do and why.     On 1.20.23 I went in for a consultation to see if this is something that can help my chronic shoulder/back problem. I always was skeptical about it at first and wasn’t sure this would help me. My friend Jacynda convinced me to go and was greeted by Ariel. The process was super easy, just had to answer some questions and the wait was around 5 mins. Spoke to Dr. Ahmed and helped me answer all the questions/worries I had. He’s super friendly, and actually explains how the body works. The consultation took around 15/20 mins and felt great right after! He explained I will feel sore because your body is not used to it. Make sure you take a Espom salt bath to soothe the soreness*. Signed up right away and it’s 89$ for 4 sessions a month (so of course it’s monthly). Ariel explain the policies very well and of course if you read the terms, you’ll know what you’re paying!     I came to this Clinic on Saturday 12/10 for my first adjustment. I was first welcomed and greeted by Robert at front desk. Super kind and helped me with my paperwork. Next I got adjusted by Dr.Ahmed, he’s awesome! Super cool to talk to and educated me through the whole process while getting adjusted. The adjustment was life changing my body was way more relaxed, I experienced more range of movement, and I was able to have a goodnight sleep. I’m officially a crack addict and will be frequenting this clinic.

    I left feeling so bad. Not because of the alignment but because of the attitude and amount of sarcasm I was given. I have the membership and go white often. Instead of asking what's going on...hes going through my chart and saying you came this day, this day, this day....if it's the mattress maybe get a new one.     Update: Finally got this resolved! Thank you Steve for all your help and communication with corporate and Jason. Thank you! Very Unprofessional staff. Called ahead of time to make.surw a doctor was there and asked what time they closed. I was told yes a doctor was there and they closed at 7pm. I get here 20min before closing and there is a sign on the door there is no doctor at this location and it was closed. What a waste of my time and gas. I called back, left them a message for someone to call me back. I have yet to get a call back. This is by far the worst chiropractic office I've been to. *****Reply to the owner: 2/6/23 I have yet to get a call back from the manager Steve regarding my refund. I was told by your Corporate office I would get that refund from your office since I purchased my packet with your office. I was told by Steve I would get a call back. I've called him several times and I have yet to get a call back from him or your corporate office. I would NOT recommend anyone purchase servises from this Monrovia Joint office in the Azusa office. I have filed a Review with the BBB. I will file a complaint with them next. Terrible customer service!!!

    I woke up this morning with my neck seriously stiff so I call the Joint. Nobody picks up. I get a VM that says that they are busy with patients so I should leave a message. But my neck hurts so I decide to just drive there since you don't need an appointment to be treated. I get there and there's a sign on the door that says "No Doctor Today." Seriously?? How hard is it to change your VM so people don't waste their time coming by? I really love wasting my gas and my time. NOT. Have some consideration for your patients. It's not that hard.

    Been coming here for couple months. Staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. Answered all my questions regarding plans and payment. Place is very clean. Dr Strey was my primary doctor. She was very professional and a sweet lady. Quite strong for her age too! I had extreme neck and back ache/ pain due to poor posture. My spinal bones were out of alignment causing the tension in my shoulder muscles and lower back. Also had a lot of headaches as well. She fixed my problems after a couple visits. Felt like new. Highly recommend. Very glad I decided to come in for adjustments. Usually the cost deter me from ever visiting a chiropractor but I feel the pricing is very fair here. For the wellness plan they offer, its basically come down to $79/mo for 4 visits, or roughly $20 a visit. I plan to keep coming here for a regular weekly visit after my plan ends.

    Every time I need an adjustment I swing by this place, since it’s close to my house. I have been to multiple locations and generally have a good experience. Today I went for my weekly adjustment and I was treated by Dr. Lundin. He had helped me over a year ago when I had some pretty bad issues. He was so good that I even went to the Azusa location for a follow up visit. This Dr is excellent and really cares about his patients. I am glad he he was here today and hope to see more of him at the Joint in Monrovia.

    I’ve been to other The Joint Chiropractic branches before and usually it’s a good experience. But my experience with the doctor at this branch wasn’t too pleasant. The doctor seemed like he didn’t want to work. I felt like I was rushed. He adjusted my back laterally and then adjusted my neck and sent me packing. It was done in less than 2 minutes. He didn’t pay any attention to my mid back. I left and went to a different branch and they helped me and adjusted the areas that was over looked. The other doctor said that my middle back was very tight and that he should’ve done something about it. Hopefully this review helps everyone because i don’t want anyone to feel robbed like how I felt.

    Dr. Hang and Dr. Keenan are great. I have been to good and bad chiropractors. They are good. They were both able to gently and fully adjust me. I almost didn't get to find out though. There were two men checking me in and the older one gave a hard time something to do with being based in another office. I felt bad and decided to find another office. As I was leaving he relented and referred me back to the doctor for adjustment. The 5 stars is for the Doctors not the older man managing the desk staff.

    The joint it's a very convenient way for me to get a tune up post surgeries as well as maintaining my health due to a desk job. Dr. Sterling Hang has been a great source of knowledge, not only in terms of adjustments made, but he has also shown me different stretches I can do on my own to help relieve pain caused by tense muscles. Dr. Hang has made me more aware of my head positioning which has been the cause of my upper back/lower neck pains. I would definitely recommend you go see Dr. Hang. You don't have to be injured to get adjusted, it can actually help with your digestion and immune system also.

    Not the best experience. They offer $29 visit! What they don't tell you is it's a monthly fee, not to exceed 4 visits per month with Auto renew. Watch your credit card! They will charge you each month until you cancel! And be sure you put it in writing. Just telling them to cancel is not sufficient.
