Dr. Christina was born in San Gabriel, California and moved to Phoenix in August 2017. She chose to be a chiropractor because of her personal experiences in seeking relief from migraines.
She graduated in 2001 from Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa. Her undergraduate degree was in 1998 at NAU, Phoenix. She majored in Zoology with pre – Health Professional emphasis.
Dr. Christina reports the best thing about being a D.C. is helping patients reach their health goals and seeing patients leave feeling much better than when they walked in!
Dr. Christina is a published poet and started a non-profit organization to raise funds for unmet needs of children in our foster care system.
Dr. DeVries was born and raised in Cortland, Nebraska, a small town in southeastern region of the state. He graduated with a B.S. in Nutrition Exercise and Health Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 (Go Huskers!). By 2020, he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland University-KC, graduating with Cum Laude honors. Since graduating, he’s recently moved to Arizona to join The Joint team, and is excited to have the opportunity to provide the best care he can for patients!
He realized he wanted to be a Chiropractor while he was working for a local Chiropractic office as an undergraduate. As he learned more about the profession, he became intrigued by the holistic approach and the variety of ways to improve a patient’s health. His favorite thing about being in the Chiropractic field is learning about each patient’s story and being able to enable them to change the context of it for the better.
He enjoys being outdoors (running/hiking/biking), watching and playing basketball, football, golf and a variety of other sports, reading, and exploring new areas!
Eggs, spinach, and apples are all must-haves in his fridge; all are staples to his diet and are quick and easy to prepare and are very nutrient dense foods.
Four people he would want at his dinner party would be Michael Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tupac Shakur, and Dalai Lama.
The coolest thing he’s done was go on a 10 day long chiropractic mission trip to Peru in 2018 where they were able to visit Machu Picchu, and provide care to the local residents. It was an amazing and humbling experience to learn more about the cultural differences, and be able to help people who didn’t have the same luxury of health care most do.
