Dr. Steven Sherry is a dedicated chiropractor who has been serving patients with compassionate, natural care since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 1995. His journey into chiropractic began with a personal challenge—while competing as a collegiate swimmer, he suffered a shoulder injury that no specialist could diagnose or effectively treat. After taking a medical year off, it was chiropractic care that finally resolved his pain and restored his ability to swim. That transformative experience inspired Dr. Sherry to pursue a career helping others heal without drugs or surgery.

With a strong belief in the body’s ability to heal itself, Dr. Sherry combines hands-on chiropractic techniques with a focus on natural health, nutrition, and lifestyle wellness. His approach is personalized, thorough, and rooted in decades of clinical experience.

Outside the office, Dr. Sherry enjoys traveling, open water swimming, and spending quality time with his family. He’s passionate about living a balanced, active life—and helping his patients do the same.

Dr. Emeliah Hanson, D.C. was born and raised in Union Grove, WI and is a 2004 graduate from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a certificate in Nutrition. During her time at UoW, Dr. Hanson endured an overuse injury from running. She found relief from a chiropractor and her experiences inspired her to pursue chiropractic as a profession as well.

Dr. Hanson graduated Magna cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, and received awards of merit in clinical radiology and in anatomy lab instruction. Since, she has become a licensed chiropractor, she has also become a member of the American Chiropractic Association and has been serving in sunny Arizona since 2008.

Dr. Hanson prides herself on her patient care. Over the years of practicing in Chandler, AZ, she has learned to treat a wide variety of patients from ages 0 to 99, utilizing a number of techniques. She has also learned to tailor her care to help those suffering find relief from sciatica pain, neck pain, lower back pain, migraines, arthritis and several other ailments and symptoms.

Dr. Fred Shay was born in Phoenix and raised in Casa Grande, Arizona, where his deep family roots stretch back over 100 years. He attended Arizona State University and went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 1986.

His journey into chiropractic began unexpectedly while living in New York City. After sustaining a back injury, he was referred to a chiropractor who worked extensively with professional dancers. Her care not only resolved his injury but also inspired a friendship that led her to encourage him to pursue chiropractic as a profession—at the very same college she attended.

Following graduation, Dr. Shay returned to the “Valley of the Sun,” where he has been practicing for over 36 years, primarily focusing on personal injury care. In 2006, he expanded his scope of practice by earning certification in addiction treatment through the American College of Addiction and Compulsive Disorders. After completing an internship at the Exodus Treatment Center in Miami, Florida, he earned Diplomate Status in Addiction Treatment in 2008, a certification he proudly maintains to this day.

In 2021, Dr. Shay joined The Joint Chiropractic and has been both surprised and gratified by the growing public enthusiasm for chiropractic wellness care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Shay is passionate about music, dance, and the performing arts. He enjoys traveling and has a growing bucket list of destinations. A classic car enthusiast, he also loves spending time with his loyal Doberman Pinscher, Elvis.

Dr. Michael Chan grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Mount Hood College. He later graduated from the University of Wester States in 1985. He says the best part about being in the chiropractic field is being able to help people and make a living at the same time!

When Dr. Michael is not working he enjoys traveling, watching sports, sleeping, playing golf, and shopping. One thing Dr. Michael must have in his fridge at all times is orange juice!
