Dr. Stewart’s journey into chiropractic began in high school after a life-changing car accident. Rear-ended at high speed, she suffered severe headaches and neck pain that traditional medical care failed to resolve. It was a local chiropractor who helped her heal and regain function—an experience that sparked her desire to help others through chiropractic care.

She began her career practicing in Los Gatos and at The Joint Chiropractic in Point Loma, CA. In 2019, she joined The Joint Chiropractic team in Arizona, where she continues to serve patients of all ages. Dr. Stewart takes pride in providing customized care for conditions ranging from sciatic pain and arthritis to jaw, hip, and neck discomfort. She is especially passionate about supporting expecting mothers through their pregnancy journey.

Outside the office, Dr. Stewart enjoys a full life with her husband, John, and their three children. Staff is always courteous from the time you walk in the door until leaving. The doctors there have helped me tremendously. I first vistied there in September 2025 with a lot of pain in my neck, shoulders and lower back. Within a few visits the pain was mostly gone. Now with weekly visits I hardly have any issues with pain and am feeling better than I have been in a long time.

We flew to Phoenix to visit our Son and his wife. I have used the joint before. I was having problems in my right front hip. On the first visit She knew my Femur was out. She started on that first day setting it. 2 more days in a row seeing her and it was corrected. My muscles around it have corrected and relaxed. It is Wonderful. Thank You.

I’d been out of state for 6 months and my back was killing me after a 20 hour drive and unloading my truck of things we need for our new home. I decided I better get back to “The Joint”. I’m glad I did. I was lucky enough to hit it just right and the chiropractor was able to see me within a few minutes of my arrival. He worked his magic, gave me a couple of ice packs and I was on my way. I’d like to also thank the employee working at the front desk at the new East Mesa location she helped me get signed up super quick.

The worst Joint Chiropractic i have been to. We were running late getting there due to delays outside of our control, so i called to let them know that my son and i are trying to make it in by five. The lady tells me "sorry we are closing in 3 minutes". (This was at 4:56) When I tell her we will probably be there in less than that she hangs up on me. We show up and scan in at 4:58, while she proceeds to tell me in person that i hung up on her twice, and she doesn't think the doctor can see us. She then comes out to tell we cannot be seen. All this on Fathers day!

Went here yesterday to get an adjustment, normally my visits to the Joint are pretty unremarkable. Yesterday, in the time I was waiting in the lobby, I saw 3 different people be extremely rude to the wellness coordinator at the front desk for no reason other than her asking them to update their forms (a state of Arizona requirement, she's not out here giving you forms to fill out for fun). Not sure why those folks were having such a bad day, but this wellness coordinator took it in stride and politely explained the situation. I feel bad that this front desk person got treated this way and I hope not every day is like that. You're doing a great job, Karen (I think that was your name)! Keep up the great work, and sorry people can be so awful.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would! The receptionist, an older lady, was incredibly rude from the moment we walked in. We’re from out of state and needed a quick adjustment before heading home, so we stopped by. Instead of a friendly greeting, we were met with immediate attitude. When we mentioned it had been a while since our last visit, she snapped at us and insisted we had to redo the intake forms and appointment. I found that odd, as it had never been required before, but before I could even explain, she stood up and bluntly told me I was wrong—without ever asking for my name or looking up my account. We tried to clarify that we’re from San Diego and maybe policies differ by location, but she dismissed that idea and claimed that all locations follow the same corporate rules. The whole interaction left such a bad taste that we walked out without even getting adjusted. Truly a terrible experience!

Been pregnant after 15 years wasn’t easy. Hormones have affected my pubic bone and wasn’t able to walk , take stairs or even take care of my newborn. Since the 27th week of pregnancy I was completely inactive sleeping on recliner not knowing that chiropractors could fix it for me even though I was pregnant. PT wasn’t able to help not even walking in pool. Pain meds was not enough the pain was 10/10. After giving birth my husband suggested we visit the joint chiropractic and this was the best thing ever. Dr. Katie Stewart, D.C., Dr. Jaclyn Weber, Dr. Cady Logan, D.C. were the ones treating me. They are very patient with me and caring. They understood the level of my pain and cooperating. They are highly knowledgeable and know what they are doing. As a nurse I pay close attention to those and I found it here. If you are pregnant with severe pelvic pain please don’t wait come see them they will help you. I am still on treatment and seen tremendous changes in just 1 week. I am taking stairs and able to lift my newborn and walk with her. I am so grateful to them. Will always recommend their services to anyone.

After doing some home painting and keeping my 11 month old granddaughter for a week, my lower back was very locked up and stiff and painful. It's okay very basic for maintenance but the wait was too long. As a new patient, walk-in, my paperwork was already filled out yet 6 people walked in and were seen ahead of me because they have a scan card. It should be first come, first served without an appointment. It's $55 without a membership and my NUCCA, specialty chiropractor, charges $40 and no membership and he works off of x-rays.

On black Friday I went to the joint and was expecting to have a wait to see Dr. Rick. To my surprise I was able to go straight back to see him. Dr. Rick was wonderful with helping me with my issues. Dr. Rick took his time with me and suggested some things that I could do at home. Karen at the front desk was great! She greeted me with a smile when I came in the door. Karen let me know how many visits I had left and also went over the specials the joint had going on. I will definitely keep going back to the joint with the treatment I received from both Karen and Dr. Rick. They are an awesome team and treated me like I was the only person that mattered. If I could do zero stars I would. The receptionist made it very well know that the location had a scheduling issues kept referring every problem to her boss. Which she wouldn’t give me the name. If you are a new patient and set an appointment, your time is not of value as walk ins come in will get the priority. The purpose was a new patient takes more time which I was in and out faster than existing patients. Thank filling the two gentlemen told the receptionist to take me first… which was an issue that drove her crazy. The treatment was more of a sale to get me to buy a package. The treatment was in the same level of having my wife walk across my back. Lastly the back doc made it known that being military I would only have to pay $19.00 today, the receptionist didn’t know how to get the special which was even advertised. Bottom line I set an appointment and got put on the back burner. Time is valuable if you don’t value your time by all means stop here. If you do value your time I’d recommend anywhere but here. And if you are the “boss” of the Signal Butte location. I asked for your name the receptionist made sir very clear that there is a management and scheduling issue at the location. As someone that absolutely loves the joint, I would not recommend going to this location if you are a NEW client!!!! Due to medical issues it had been roughly about 4 years since I had been back to the joint, but now I am back to the point where I can get regularly adjusted. So I went to the signal Butte location there to get "re-signed up". The way that we were addressed by the lady sitting at the front desk was absolutely disgusting, I've worked 15 years in customer service and never treated someone that way. Just for background the little scanner keys were not as popular and some of the locations didn't even have the little scanner for the little tabs to be scanned on your keychain, so you typically gave phone number or name, this was back 4 years ago. We walked into the location. The lady didn't even look up at us. We stood there for a few minutes, Smiling and just waiting patiently and she looks up at us and gives us a nasty snarl "what you don't have your little scan thing." We smiled and said nicely. "No, it's been quite some time since we've been here so we probably have to re-sign up". Making it very known that she's agitated with us at this point. She asked me for my information. I give her it to her so that she can look it up and she makes a noise and says something under her breath and I asked her what's up. She goes "Well It's been 4 years since you've been here." Making this weird sign kinda of noise. I proceed to tell her. "Yes, due to issues with my back, I was not seeing a regular chiropractor as I was going to the C.O.R.E institute and they were handling everything. She rolls her eyes and begins to gather the clipboard for me to fill out the paperwork, looks at me and with an attitude says that I'll have to fill out the paperwork and she'll have to resubmit me into the system, my partner then jokes so it's like we're new patients, her taking that apparently that we were asking for the new patient price which he never mentioned. He was just making a joke. She got very agitated even more so at us and snarked back at us that that does not make us new patients, he then went to explain himself and she just was not having it. At this point I am starting to get upset at the way she's talking to him, so I decide to take my paperwork and go sit down and shut my mouth before I said something that I shouldn't, as I'm doing the paperwork he's giving his information. She says the same thing to him. "Well you're not in the system either so I guess we have to do the same for you." He takes the paperwork and comes and sits next to me. One of the chiropractors or I'm assuming a chiropractor then comes out to the front desk and they begin to whisper to each other. When my partner notices they are looking at us whispering and then turn back. I then turn and look up because I noticed my partner looking at them and that's when I noticed that they're whispering turn look at us turn back and says it has been 4 years. At that point it was very obvious that they were talking about us and not in a nice way as their facial expressions were suggesting. Instead of making a scene or saying what I wanted to say, I simply grabbed the paper, took it off of the clipboard, put the clipboard in front of her and walked out the door, my partner proceeded to follow me. He did the same thing. Respectfully just putting it in front of her and walking out the door. We proceeded to go to the AJ location and they were absolutely amazing. They got us set up back into the system and guess what! We have our little scan cards but we will never be walking back into that location again as apparently it is okay to discuss my information in front of everyone! I will say it did seem like they're very nice to people that were commonly there or routinely there I should say, but if you're a newcomer this would not be the location I would suggest, which is sad because that is the location that got me in there originally but they do not have any of the original people I dealt with.

Was really excited to visit this place after reading the reviews and how close it is to my home but was disappointed when they kept prioritizing existing clients over my visit as a new client. So even if you have an appointment expect to wait because it’s a “quick” visit for current clients, and they seem to be the priority regardless if you’d been waiting 25 min already past your “scheduled” visit. I’d recommend they re-think the new client schedule process if they are going choose when you are seen based on how many of their current clients walk in. It just gives false impression that booking an appointment means you’re seen in a timely manner. I’ll update the review if I decide to go back but I’m big about first impressions with companies and this one just missed the mark.

These guys suuuuuuck! I have attempted to cancel my membership to this place 5 different times. I have emailed 5 times, called 3 times and they are still charging me. I showed up and filled out their paperwork in person. I have been dealing with this since October of 2023. I do not live in the area any longer. I have sent in the ridiculous "paperwork" and you are still charging me!!!! CANCEL THE DANG MEMBERSHIP! Mauricio, the district manager it’s going to reply to this review and say that they have a policy and that I never provided the correct paperwork. However, I did provide the correct paperwork. My fault for not keeping the emails to prove or but regardless, I visited their facility in person and filled the paperwork out and I was told it was canceled. I also have evidence of multiple bank disputes where they still did not cancel. So there is plenty of history with this specific location that I have done my due diligence to get this canceled, and they have chosen not to. Steer clear of these crooks!

Don’t trust them with your card information. I really enjoyed my experience in October. Used up the visits I had and recommended them to everyone. It’s now April and come to find out they’ve been charging for the past 6 months for $79.00 a month. No reminder email to use up my visits, no receipt ever sent to me. Just quiet charges as my inbox fills up with stupid promotional material with no mention of my monthly charges. To top it all off, you can’t cancel it online or over the phone, but in person. Another has left a review similar to this, so let us be a warning to all. They may provide a decent service, but do not trust them as far as you can throw them. Be prepared to have to cancel in person or risk being charged hundreds of dollars over a few months without your notification.

I like that there are locations in all states making it convenient to get adjustments while traveling. The chiropractors I’ve experienced have been competent and listen and don’t do any type of manual neck adjustment, but instead use the activator instrument.

If I could give no stars I would. Dr Pham just there for a job. Useless. I watched the other doctor spend time and adjust the patient. I wish I went to her. I’m so tired of bad adjustments and lack of care. He did not adjust me but push my head up and down. Then told me he can’t fix what is not broken. Never listen to me never adjusted what was hurting. I had two appointments on January 29 and 30, 2023 with two different Doctors, and both were excellent. I was in a lot of pain, and both assessed my sports related back injury knowledgeably and compassionately. Though both used slightly different techniques, they were very effective. My experience has been nothing but great. I have shoulder blade pain for the past 3 years before I decided to do something about it. I goggled chiropractor and The joint chiropractor came up with great reviews. I decided to check it out. Not only is the price reasonable but the service is great. I’ve been going for two weeks now and I notice a difference in my pain. It not all the way gone, but it’s not intense.

Dr Katy does a great job! Also Dr Misty. I sometimes go to Apache Junction to see her. Dr Pham is a good fallback, as is Dr Sam. I hurt for two days each time I have to see Dr Jeremy (sometimes he's the only one in the office). Dr Gary (I think that was his name) was my favorite but I only got to see him once. He was filling in at Signal Butte once.

I feel so valued as a patient. The doctors have done wonders with getting me some of my mobility back and ease the pain in my hips and back. We love the Joint, and go specifically to be treated by Katie. We were sad to hear that it was sold to corporate, and hope that they maintain the same patient experience, where the doctors don’t have to wear pointless masks, and can freely interact with the customers without silly things like that again. If the policies change, and corporate starts implementing ridiculous policies, we will leave the practice. We prefer to stay, and have been loyal customers for nearly 5 years.

I love the concept .. it makes chiropractic care affordable . For about 2.5-months I didn’t come because some of the chiropractors weren’t that great . It’s kind of a mix . Absolutely worth the $$$ especially since you can use FSA/HSA . Technically it’s medical expense for AZ state taxes too . They clean things well but I haven’t been happy with their COVID 19 response . Initially they had a sign up saying they weren’t wearing mask because they were no longer required/ recommended . In reality it should or could have said because we are vaccinated we are no longer wearing masks …or it should have focused on vaccines not requirements . Today I was sad that healthcare providers , with the Delta variant… aren't wearing masks … they are supposed to be providers.

My hips were out of alignment. I had a lot of pain with each step of my left leg. I was adjusted by two of their chiropractors within a week. Both times afterward, it was painful to walk to my vehicle in the parking lot. They were both more interested in selling me a multi-visit package than fix my problem. My lower back was severely injured and had incapacitated me to a great deal. Although walking was difficult I was hesitate to see a chiropractor. I had a preconceived notion of the practice but thankfully my family had convinced me to go. I'm glad I did and I was happy to be wrong. The Joint's great, helpful & friendly staff. I met Dr. Andrews and I recommend others do the same. Treating my lower back and offering his expertise was incredibly helpful! After seeing him for about 3-4 times a week, my back was feeling much better within a 2 week span. They're affordable and even gave me a few free visits! Thank you Dr. Andrews and the rest of the staff. You guys rock!

Dr. Andrew at this location is amazing. Very insightful and gives great advice to help you after his adjustments. He really listens to your complaints and tries to relate to your individual issues. He's efficient with his adjustments but doesn't stick strictly to just a basic routine. Others I've experienced simply go through all areas that can be adjusted, not the specifics you mention. He adds a personal touch to your adjustments and takes requests for certain adjustments. I have the monthly plan and look forward to going again and again to get adjusted with Dr. Andrew

Great location! Very happy with my treatments by the Dr.’s here, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I like going on Wednesday evenings to see Dr. Andrew or Dr. Katie. They both give amazing adjustments, but I love Dr. Andrew’s upbeat attitude and bedside manner. Friendly front desk staff and I like the treatment package options. I’ve started coming here a month ago and I really am feeling better. Great improvement on headaches, neck and hip pain. I’m happy to be a patient here! Highly recommend this location.

This place is perfect for a person who just needs maintenance chiropractic care. I have two spots that bother me due to my occupation and I just have to pop in, tell the doc where it hurts, he works his magic and I go about my day. No long waits and it's really affordable. If you are a person who is suffering from something more serious, have a recent injury or a complicated problem you will need to find a different place to go. When you feel back to your normal self and just need to maintain, the joint is the place.

Yesterday I went to get an adjustment & was very disappointed that the receptionist had a mask on with her nose hanging out (what's the point of even wearing one?!) & the Doctor wasn't wearing one at all! Covid19 is on the rise & wearing masks has been a requirement for the past week for Mesa, yet they weren't following state guidelines. When I told the receptionist I wanted to cancel because I didn't feel safe that the doctor wasn't wearing a mask, she said if you ask him he'll put one on. I said no.... If he's not wearing a mask with everyone I Don't feel comfortable being seen. Then I left. Chiropractic care is coming in close contact with many many people! They should be taking extra care to not spread this deadly virus! I am really really disappointed in this company!

This location had the worst doctors out there. The owner is decent but never there. The place can’t keep good doctors they always leave. Dr Zach is terrible my 3 year old could do a better adjustment on me literally. Very disappointing. I have to drive to Dana Park to get a decent adjustment. The joint overall is a good deal for the money but when you leave after getting adjusted without any relief it’s worthless. I would suggest to the owner to come back and be more hands on and don’t hire people like Dr Zach.

May 1 / 10:36 a.m. Got a call from a rep for The Joint! Try to get me to change my review, explained that their Doc's have different opinion's on treatment e.c.t.! While on the call he offered to refund my $39 fee. Said that would be nice but left it up to him. Also advised him that the Doc ? was NOT wiping down the treatment table after every use I was # 3 inline at the time, changed the face paper but NOT ONCE wipe the table!! no refund as of yet!! Again only interested in getting to sign up for a treatment program!

Tracy was very helpful and friendly was in and out. Took my boyfriend in after being there myself twice she helped him signup for a membership as I already had mine. Treated us as we walked in and was pleasant the entire experience wasn’t rushed. Dr. Zack did a great job getting my body aligned my neck and back feel so much better almost immediately. My boyfriend had never been and noticed a difference in his body right away. All around great experience we both can’t wait to go back.

We thought this place was going to be great we paid for the four times special. Three out of the four trips for good, but the one lady I just commented about how my wife's neck still felt like there was a knot there after she was done. Her reply was " I didn't know you were a chiropractor" the worst part is they recharged my card automatically for another four trip special without my consent and you have to physically come in to cancel. Thats shady folks...plain and simple!

Edit to the post below: this location did the absolute right thing! They apologized, gave me a refund, explained the misunderstanding and requested another chance. Few companies do this. Nice job. Terrible ethics. Told them I don’t use chiropractic enough to justify paying for six visits up front. They suggested I split the package with my wife. I agreed and the front desk receptionist told me they would have to check to see if my wife was a patient of record. She requested payment for the package. I gave them my credit card. After they processed payment, I asked if she had checked to see if my wife was a patient of record. She checked and then asked me if I would like to buy a package for her, too. I was puzzled and said that we were going to split this one like she had suggested. “Oh, you need to do that prior to submitting payment.” Totally unethical. I was purposefully deceived by this woman. I’ll use as many of my six appointments as necessary at other locations and won’t be back.

One of the best experiences I have ever had with a doctors office. The doctors are very knowledgeable and have addressed my issues every time. The staff works with the patient to ensure that any pre payment plan meets the patients needs. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see a doctor and total visit time has never been more than 30 minutes. Great experience!!

Dr Katie is very good, she keeps me standing upright and is truly a professional individual. She has resolved my neck issues with just minor adjustments, I have ribs that like to jump out of place, she diagnosed the issue and keeps things in place with weekly adjustments as required. She is working with me on my limited mobility in my knees and I am looking forward to the great results to follow. Lisa works the front desk and she is a very nice and personable staff professional, her interactions with customers is absolutely the best. I have been coming to the Joint for several years now. Texas, Virginia and now Arizona. You have great people in all locations but I think this one is just all around the best and I look forward to many years of service here on Signal Butte.

I had one bad experience with one of the drs..but dr.Arron and i worked it out, and he is aware of the proublem,and came to me to resolve it..he is very concerned about his business and patients. Ive been going to chiropractors for 50 years. Over all, i am very satisfied with the personal care i have been given by dr.Arron and dr.jeff over the last 8 months. My brother and i have been regular customers and plan on continuing are treatments there..everyone on the staff is very friendly, helpful, and treat us like personal friends. Its convenient, no need for appointment, no long waits, very reasonable, and open 7 days a week. They are there, when i need them.! I recommend them to anybody who needs chiropractic care. And was very impressed when dr.Arron came to me to explane the situation that caused the proublem, we resolved it, and i am continuing my chiropractor needs with them, no need to go anywhere else.!

Paid for the new patient special which us supposed to include a consultation, exam, and adjustment. The doctor who saw me asked a few basic question about my past care, poorly adjusted my back and was done. I'm am on my way to another chiropractor, still in pain, with $30 less. The paper work took longer than my "consultation". I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Aaron since the beginning of March. We have been with The Joint since 2010 as members. Through these last 8 years we have seen a number of chiropractors at The Joint including in the state of California. We had an excellent doctor in Anaheim. However, we were so very pleased when we got with Dr. Aaron. I have specific chronic health issues and can react very badly if not adjusted properly. Dr. Aaron takes the time to LISTEN and understand what the patients needs are. He is so gentle and has a great "bedside"manner. It's his practice so he truly cares. Great chiropractor, great personality!

Cheap, no appointments, may have to wait some times. Dr. Aaron and Dr. Andrew do a good job. Haven't tried Dr. Simon.

Dr. Lance was extremely kind and helpful. He listened to what was going on and helped carefully letting me know what was happening as he did it. I had recently hurt my lower back pretty badly and he used that information when making adjustments. While I was sore after the visits with him it felt better. Dr. Aaron, however, was awful. He didn’t listen to anything I said and when I told him I was experiencing extreme pain he didn’t listen and just kept pushing and adjusting. I left in more pain than I came in and not because I was sore but because the entire situation was mismanaged. Yes, there were a couple people waiting but listen next time before you damage someone. The extra 5 minutes they wait might be worth not treating someone so poorly. This experience is the reason I stopped using The Joint.

I was set to have knee surgery for the third time and mentioned it on a visit a few months back. The doctor offered to adjust it and I consented. Know one had ever done it before and after a few visits of knee adjustments and working out knots in the soft tissue behind the backside of my knee I feel one million times better. They have been awesome. I was a little worried about a place that says "five minutes can change everything" because I was concerned they wouldn't take the time to work out my kinks! Completely unfounded. Aaron takes as much time as he needs with each client. Yet I have never had an excessive wait time.

The entire Family Loves Dr Aaron and we are greatful we found the Joint. Our daughter has stopped complaining daily about back pain, my husband has been able to reduce the pain pills he takes for his back and elbow. The hump on the bottom of my neck is virtually gone along with my lower back pain. We love The Joint and Dr. Aaron.

I had a really bad pain between my shoulder blades from driving in the valley over the years for work. The pain was so bad after a few hours of work, I would have to lay down to rest my back for about an hour. I have been going to this location of The Joint for a few months and my pain is 97% gone. I have been to other branches in past years, but this one really hit the spot. I feel at home, like part of a family, and doctor Aaron Shakarian gives an honest feeling that he wants to help and cares about you. I highly recommend this branch; it's quick, affordable and convenient. The office hours work well for the blue collar worker -- open everyday, and usually until 7pm. Great place and great people!

Been to lots and lots of chiropractors over the last few decades. Most I liked, a few, well not so much. And a very few that I absolutely LOVE. And Dr. Aaron is one of a very few that I absolutely love. He listens and takes what I say into consideration, but assesses it with his knowledge to produce a wonderful amount of relief and correction. I really do sincerely recommend him very highly. Lots of empathy without smarmy sympathy- he knows what you are going through and even better, knows how to handle the heck out of it. And does. Go - you will not regret it! And the pricing structure - there is no hidden trick, it is just inexpensive while still being superb care.
