Consumer Goods Forum's Health and Wellness Toolkit
The leadership of certain organizations within the health and wellness space may prove to be the most important aspect of health and wellness overall. It is extremely difficult to get people to see that their behavior can potentially contribute to decreased health status and thus a decrease in the quality of life. Even if they do see how their behaviors are affecting their health status and quality of life, it is even more difficult to reach these people and guide them in the right direction towards change and progress in their health behaviors.
A major part of why the leadership of organizations is so important in health and wellness is the large scale resources that they are able to provide. Recently, the Consumer Goods Forum has developed a series of resources for health and wellness called the Health and Wellness Toolkit. With this initiative as part of the Consumer Goods Forum’s Health and Wellness Resolution and Commitments, the Consumer Goods Forum is hoping to assist companies in developing better health and wellness outcomes.
With the use of case studies involving other companies that have already made transitions into better health and wellness, the Consumer Goods Forum is hoping that their Health and Wellness Toolkit will shed light on the process of incorporating better health and wellness initiatives into the company structure.
The Health and Wellness Toolkit is designed to provide companies with concrete examples of how other companies have improve their health and wellness efforts. They want companies in any industry to acknowledge that there may be barriers to health and wellness initiatives, but these barriers are not completely restrictive. They want companies to understand what it takes to improve health and wellness initiatives and know that these are realistic goals.
With a set of guidelines and “how to” steps regarding the establishment and improvement of health and wellness initiatives, the Consumer Goods Forum is hoping that their Health and Wellness Toolkit will help companies adjust to the changing times and find ways to develop a whole new level of productivity and efficiency.
