Are You Utilizing These Healthy Ways to Keep Your Face Looking Youthful ?

Have you looked in the mirror and had to take a second look? And not because you impressed yourself with your glowing beauty, but because it was more of a “yikes” kind of situation? If the answer is yes, don’t freak out too much. We have all been there. If your skin isn’t looking one hundred percent, there are things you can do to get it back to its best.

There are actually some less expected reasons why your skin may be looking a bit older than it should be. Below are some of the ways you may be contributing to your facial flaws, as well as how to make the changes you need make in order to stop the premature aging and get your face radiating again.

It May Be Your Eyes

Getting old doesn’t just mean that you get wrinkly. It also means that your vision starts to go. I know, sounds fun, right? Well, unfortunately this combo doesn’t make for good looking skin. Poor vision causes the muscles around your eyes to have to work harder to pick up the slack. You also may squint in order to help you see better, which can cause wrinkles. All this can make deep lines, otherwise known as crow’s feet, around your eye area. The best way to fix preexisting lines is by Botox injections, but if you aren’t there yet, make an appointment with your eye doc.

Take Care of Your Pearly Whites

It’s amazing what a good set of teeth can do for a face. Not only do they add to the actual structure for the face, but if there are problems concerning teeth grinding, decay or disease, it can affect the skin of the face as well. Tooth issues can lead to wrinkles, lines and sagging skin around the mouth. Keeping your teeth in optimal health will do wonders for keeping you skin youthful and fresh. Make sure to brush and floss regularly, as well as visiting your dentist at least once a year.

You Are Wearing Cheap Shades

By now we all know how important it is to wear sunscreen every day, rain or shine, cloudy or sunny. The thing is that most people will avoid putting it around their eye area due to sensitivity or fear of getting it in their eyes. To make up for this, you can wear sunglasses, but they must be equipped with UVA/UVB lenses. Not only will they protect the skin from getting wrinkled, but the better the shade, the less you will squint, which is another component that causes premature aging.
