Causes of Chronic Back Pain
There is little doubt that back pain can be very uncomfortable. It can also cause you to miss work, as well as your favorite activities. Knowing what the cause behind your back pain is can enable you to get the right kind of help you need.
There are many things that can cause back pain, or lower back pain. This could be the result of things such as sports injuries, car accidents, muscle strains, disc problems, degeneration, scoliosis, and more. Incidents such as these often results in a misalignment of the vertebra in the spine.
Your spine is made up of 30 different bones that are stacked up, with disks that provide cushioning in between each of them. This means back pain could originate in many places on or near your spine. The back pain may also come in different forms, some of which you may not be able to determine precisely. You could suffer from muscles spasms, joint pain, pressure on nerves in or near your spine, sciatica, headaches, and more.
Back pain can often be resolved by visiting a chiropractor near you. While a doctor will probably give you medicine for the pain, and urge you to take it easy for a few days, or possibly recommend surgery, a chiropractor may be able to provide a solution that uses neither drugs nor surgery. When you make a visit to a chiropractor's office, you will usually be given an x-ray. This will enable him or her to make sure that they can safely give you relief from your back pain. If they determine that it is not in your best interest, then you will be recommended to see a medical doctor. Many people who do visit a chiropractor are able to get quick pain relief, largely because they realign the vertebrae, which is often the cause of the problem in the first place.
