3 Exercise Classes to Try in 2018

If you are looking to get fit in the new year, there is more to do than sign up for a gym membership. It is equally important that you find a workout class or group to join that can serve as motivator, encourager, and accountability partner. If you are looking for a class to join, there are several which should be at the top of your list. Each of these classes offer something a little different, but are all high-intensity classes which can help to improve your cardio. The classes you should probably make a priority to try include:

  • Zumba
  • Boot camp
  • Spin

Take a Zumba Class

Zumba is a class that centers around Latin dancing. The music is loud and the crowd can get a little wild. However, if dancing is your passion, you will love the energy and style of this class. Get over to the gym and try this class today.

Give Boot Camp a Try

All I can say about boot camp is: OH DEAR! In this class, anything goes. One day you could be in a gym exercising and the next the instructor may have you outside. This is a class designed to challenge all aspects of fitness. It is only for those who are serious about sweating. If you have not been super active previously, this class may be more difficult than you are ready for, but as you work on your endurance and fitness, this will become one of your favorite workouts.

Get Fit in Spin Class

Spin class is a great option for those who love a great cardio workout but they body does not allow a high impact class. Spin class is all the excitement at gyms across the nation. Fitness instructors suggest the an average person can burn up to 600 calories in just one class. Be sure to grab a sweat towel and a bottle of water when heading to this class.

Now you are ready to head to your gym to try out a few of the classes which may be offered. Be sure, for any class you try, to give them each a second chance if you don’t love them after just one class. Fitness instructors remind participants that it can be easy to get frustrated and throw in the towel when things seem too difficult. Don’t let this be you.
