Dr. Melissa Ellyn Cox, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Grant & Swan

Dr. Melissa Ellyn Cox, D.C. was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Beardstown, IL. She attended Logan University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology in 2012 and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2014. Dr. Cox grew up wanting to follow in her father’s footsteps, and did just that. She saw her father helping their local community, bettering people’s lives and educating them as a chiropractor.

Throughout her professional journey as a chiropractor, Dr. Cox has learned to serve a variety of patients from babies to grandparents and a range of cases, including migraine relief, sciatica pain, neck pain, and lower back pain through the use of manual manipulation. She has been The Joint’s local chiropractor in Tucson, AZ since October 2017 and is honored to serve the Tucson, Arizona community.

Dr. Cox’s passion is seeing her patients live healthier and fuller lives as a result of her chiropractic efforts. Maximizing the connection between the brain and body through a well-adjusted spine leads to each of her patients achieving their health and wellness goals. She particularly enjoys helping those who are skeptical and try chiropractic as a ‘last resort’ and end up loving it and become passionate about routine chiropractic care.

When she is not working at The Joint Chiropractic in Tucson, AZ, Dr. Cox spends her time reading, running or working out. She also can be found spending time with her husband Jordan and is pregnant with their first child.

Dr. Steve Lynch, D.C. is a Chiropractic at Grant & Swan

I discovered Chiropractic after a baseball injury in college, where after a collision at home plate I dislocated multiple lumbar vertebrae. It was recommended that I get a surgical removal of two of my lumbar disks. It was then, that a friend suggested I get a second opinion from a chiropractor. The chiropractor I saw was able to rectify my problem, after only a month of treatment at 4 times a week. My x-rays today look like I was never injured. It was then that I decided to change my major from Pre Law to Health Sciences in my desire to become a chiropractor myself. I am passionate about utilizing my skills as a chiropractor in helping my patients overcome debilitating physical conditions, involving their spine and skeletal system.

I attended Parker College of chiropractic in Dallas Texas, Graduated in 1997. I have been practicing for close to twenty years and have been able to help thousands of patients over that time period. I love being a chiropractor I look forward to utilizing my skills in helping people on a daily basis. Primary techniques that I use when treating a patient are Diversified, Thompson table drop, Activator, and Gonstead. I have successfully treated infants, through elderly patients and everyone in between.

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I have been an Arizona resident for the last 20 + years. In my free time I enjoy hiking in the beautiful hills and desert of Arizona. I also enjoy motorcycling on the scenic roads outside the cities of Arizona.

I am a firm believer that “A well balanced and flexible skeletal system will serve your health well throughout your lifetime”.
