    Mixed feelings been here a couple of times. You want the old old guys because they don't try to hurt you like the younger ones do. The young ones don't listen and just randomly crack you as if they're going through a check list rather than try to help only target the injured area. The first one gentleman made me feel amazing.     The Joint Chiropractic wasn’t my first experience with chiro but it may well be my last. Their claim to fame is cheap, “non-invasive” chiro, meaning that they don’t take X-rays and have you in and out in under 15 minutes. Whether the money that patients save on X-rays is enough to compensate them for dishonesty, incompetence, unprofessionalism, and permanent injury is a matter for the courts to decide. My first experience with The Joint-Brea was in 2019. My doctors were Arnold Mariscal, James O’Keefe, and Oscar Del Rio. They performed similar adjustments on my neck and hips each time and told me that my back was too locked to adjust without injury. I suspected them of trying to boost sales by performing as few adjustments as possible during each appointment, and the sales awards in their lobby increased this impression. I’ve never visited another doctor's office that promoted sales over patient care or their medical oath. Most doctors are more eager to display their qualifications than their sales achievements. In 2023, I began to get migraines, which are sometimes treated with chiro. I didn’t want to return to The Joint but I couldn’t afford anything better. My doctors were Jay Lee, Sean Milam, Wilfredo Untalan, Arnold Mariscal, and Daran Novak. Lee and Milam were particularly rude and dismissive when I described my condition or asked questions about the nature and quality of my care. It felt as if they were discriminating against my age, sex, and/or inability to afford the number of appointments that they'd prescribed and expected me to accept their diagnosis and treatment without question, despite their unprofessionalism. On May 30, Untalan adjusted my back, though I was primarily being treated for my neck and hips. He exerted a concerning degree of force, given what others had said about it being too locked to adjust without injury. I asked him about this and he claimed that he’d fixed it. A few days later, I started to experience the intermittent ache on my mid-right spine, as well as temporary, internal bruising on my right side. On June 5 or 10, I described my condition to Lee, who also adjusted me with a concerning degree of force, given my symptoms. It was the first time that I wasn’t told to breathe in before the adjustments or adjusted on the opposite side. I asked Lee about this and he dismissed it as unnecessary. A few hours later, I began to experience the persistent discomfort in my chest and ribcage, as if my organs have been pushed forward and twisted to the left. At first, the muscle between my sternum and right shoulder was tight and both my hands were tingling. My circulation and forward mobility are still impaired and I recurrently get spasms and charley horses in the muscle under my right breast after sitting upright for several hours. On June 21, I described my condition to Mariscal, who increased the tightness and the tingling. On June 22, I described my condition to Novak, whose adjustments gave me no relief. On October 8, I requested a copy of my medical records. Each one falsely states, “Pt with no pain or symptoms today,” “Following the visit, the patient felt: Better.” I could only afford appointments when I was in pain and was repeatedly disrespected when I described it. Instead of making me better, they made me worse. And I may have to pay out of pocket to correct injuries that should’ve never occurred for services that I couldn’t afford in the first place. All because I was an underprivileged woman of a certain age who had the audacity to question the expertise of men whose expertise ended up being completely questionable. I also learned from a physician and two nurses that many medical professionals consider chiro a pseudoscience with unproven results. They advised me to stop chiro immediately and consult my PCP. If I could warn other people by leaving a review with zero stars, I would.

I've been in the fitness industry for years and have seen some excellent chiropractors in the past ones who listen, explain everything, and never push beyond what you're comfortable with. This place was the complete opposite. The chiropractor here literally forced an adjustment on me despite my hesitation. I’ve never experienced anything like that before. It felt aggressive and completely unprofessional. After the session, the pain was excruciating. I couldn't walk properly for two full days. It's now been a full week since the adjustment, and I still can't bend over, pick up anything, or move without severe pain. What started as minor discomfort has turned into a debilitating injury that’s affecting my daily life. It felt rushed, impersonal, and like they were just churning through patients. I highly recommend avoiding this place entirely. Go to a qualified, independent chiropractor who takes the time to do proper assessments, listens to your concerns, and doesn't force treatments. Your spine deserves better than this. Save yourself the agony.

    So grateful I stopped in this morning.     Felt rushed. Tried to talk to both Chiros about my sciatica issue and both rushed me through a quick adjustment (1 chiro worked on me, the other had worked on me earlier this week) and then released me. I advised them of the pain and path of travel, and was asking for what I could do at home u tip my next visit and they continued to dismiss me without giving me any at home direction.     On a Sunday, I confirmed that they closed at 2 PM and planned my visit accordingly, arriving at 1:50 PM. As I walked up, I paused briefly to throw away a water bottle, and in that moment, I heard someone locking the door and saw the blinds shut immediately. It was only 1:55 PM. I knocked, called, and even left a voicemail explaining that I had traveled 30 minutes for my adjustment—no response. I also sent a text, but still, nothing. I completely understand if they have a cut-off time for accepting patients, but the way this was handled was frustrating and unprofessional. No one exited the office until 2 PM, when the receptionist walked out and locked up behind her, confirming there were no other patients inside. If this is how they treat paying members who make an effort to show up, it makes me question their commitment to patient care. I expected better.

    Just got a membership here and it's absolutely fantastic. You are able to check in instantly with a key card and then almost immediately called to the back. Both the Drs I have seen so far are fantastic and just by feeling my back were able to pinpoint issues I didn't discuss with them before hand and got right into fixing me up and I'm already feeling results within the first session which was last week now onto the 3rd. The pricing is by far the best you can get for chiropractic treatment, which also applies to any of their facilities across the US. I wish we had more opportunities like this for quick, easy and breasy, alternative healthcare.

I just can't stand how every time they try to push me to buy packages or get me into their subscription plan.     I’ve had a great experience so far. Dr. Jay was recommended to me. I was especially appreciative that he could see me right away as I was in alone of pain. I had already tried massage, topicals & OTC pain relievers without success. He asked a lot of questions to ensure the type of treatment he would use would not be detrimental to my physical health, as I am older and have degenerative arthritis in my disks as well as osteopenia.     Working as a nurse in the healthcare field can be very demanding not just mentally but physically as well.     Live giving alignment. Decompression of my mid back was so refreshing. My regular doctor had me on naproxen and muscle relaxers with cold packs but that wasn’t getting my back injury.     Jay is excellent but their a dr there who only works 2 days a week and he said anti Asian remarks about dr Jay. And berated him in front of customers. Dr Jay is great and I recommend him.     I do Love the care I receive from Joint Chiropractic.. However, my only complaint, is if you are in pain in multiple, to a couple of areas on your body… by some, not all of the Chiropractor’s you do not receive a somewhat concerned about your pain visit. You are in and out of there in minutes, and speaking for myself I feel unheard, and feel somewhat better. I can at times feel like a number.. this is my only complaint. My solution to this is not go and receive an adjustment when these particular Chiropractors are in that day. I do Love Joint Chiropractic. They have helped me immensely. And in no way am I trying to give a negative review. Just constructive criticism. Hopefully to bring light to this and resolve can become of it.

    I’ve been suffering from low back pain for the past few weeks so I saw their google ad page for a new patient special. The ladies in the front desk were so friendly. But let me just tell you how awful the doctor was for my adjustment. This is coming from an honest individual who just wanted to seek treatment so there’s no way I’m making this up. The doctor did not even introduce himself–He called my name and told me to sit down. He asked me to turn to the side and proceeded to tell me that my movement was not normal. He asked why and how long I’ve been having back pain - I told him I lift weights. He said I shouldn’t be lifting so much since I’m small. I was thinking, “Okay.” So he asked me to lie on my stomach; I moved my head to the side because he surprised me without warning that he pushed my back so hard. He screamed “No! Don’t move your head! Watch your back!” When I didn’t hear his instructions, he asked me to put my leg on top and kept screaming “No! I told you to lift your leg!” After the adjustment, he asked, “Do you know what happened?” I said, “More mobility?” “Yeah! Your legs have more difference.” He has terrible bedside manners; he did not seem compassionate. I don’t know what was the deal because I thought Dr. Arnold is really kind based on the reviews, but my experience was completely opposite. He also told me I have to see him twice a week for a month or so for my back pain. It was a whole lot of shade because it seemed to be about money here. He didn’t even write a note about my diagnosis; I had to ask the ladies in the front what was the diagnosis again. He just gave me a note about a payment plan. I had a lot of red flags from him: 1. He seemed to rush through the examination process to just get me adjusted. 2. He didn’t give me exact information to know why he’s suggesting the treatment. 3. He did not take the time to be sensitive to my pain through the treatment process. 4. HORRIBLE bedside manner!! He was not friendly or compassionate at all. 5. He seemed to be more focused on getting me in and out of his office quickly. Save yourself from this place. Maybe try other doctors but I will not be going to him ever again.

    I return because of Dr. Ivan. He takes the time to make you feel comfortable, he is professional and brings a sense of peace. He is efficient but also takes the time to care for each patient. Plus, the receptionists are very sweet and welcoming!

    Starting at the front desk the awesome lady working is upbeat and friendly and just really someone cool and nice to talk too before getting crackled. Dr. Arnold on the other hand is funny and just really knows what he’s doing the pain I have in my back and leg is no longer an issue and I thank God and this man right here.     I have been to many chiropractors over years of MMA training. Dr. Arnold has given me the best short and long term results by far with his very thorough understanding of his trade. At the beginning of our last session addressing a lower back strain, he immediately identified my inability to lift one leg with the same mobility as the other. Doctor Arnold knew exactly what to do and we performed the same test after his work was complete and now both legs were now equally mobile plus I felt great. Choice of chiropractor is a very important decision and you will not find one more knowledgeable, friendly and thorough than Doctor Arnold. His office staff is also very friendly and helpful.

    The Joint Chiropractic in Brea is by far the best treatment center that I have ever been to. The manager Kelly is extremely friendly, welcoming, and has the best attitude! The Chiropractor on Thursdays and Mondays in my opinion are the best ones. They do the best they can do and it is worth giving a try if you are on the fence. It can get busy on Thursdays but it is for good reason and absolutely worth the wait. Even since I’ve been coming here to get adjusted I have seen a significant increase in mood as well as body mobility thanks to the chiropractors here. This is the best self care money can buy. Thank you guys for your service to the community.

    Dr David is hands down the best there. He takes his time and does a good job. Dr Arnold is great for routine care But a Little too rough for post accident in my oppinion go to Dr. David for sure it’s like night and day results , speaking from my own personal experience that is. Great office staff great prices I feel like it’s important to mention : I actually felt much worse after my visit with dr Arnold today which quite surprised me as that’s never happened before but he seemed very rushed today. I’ve seen him several times over the years and that was a first but it was so much so I won’t be going to him again because of the pain being increased rather than decreased and will continue with Dr David. But in no way is that the norm for Dr Arnold when I saw him years back at least to be fair he was the best there at that time for sure may be just an off day for him my partner had same complaint after seeing him today

    Very professional and polite friendly staff and doctors. Price is low. The reason I don’t recommend this location are for the following reasons: 1) none of the doctors can write a doctors note for work (my other Chiropracter’s could); 2) the consistency of the adjustment. Some doctors are more thorough than others. I wish all performed at the same great level; 3) poor relationship management with patients. Going to one doctor or at least an office that maintains a log where doctors review the log when a patient comes in, makes me feel more at ease that the doctor can tell if I progressed or not since my last adjustment and knows my lifestyle and the impact on my health during the current visit. 4) no refunds. I bought a 10 pack and paid in full a few hours later when I confirmed they don’t offer doctors notes I tried to cancel and was denied. I used all my visits. I recommend one go to a single doctor, even if the price may be a little higher.

    I was visiting family in the area and I saw their ad at 4pm for a $29.99 initial visit. So I signed up and I got an email immediately. Showed up at 410pm. Was greeted with a smile and asked if I had a scan card. I replied with, "no, I'm new and I'm suppose to show you this email" Thats when things go south. As the young mans face goes from happy to serious as he proceeds to tell me I should have called ahead of time. Apparently, new customer visits may take up to 45mins. Mind you, I had no idea I needed to call. It also doesn't specify this on their website new patients should call prior to their initial visit. Which, kind of defeats the "No Appointment Needed" if you ask me. Anyhow, I reply with "ok" and I'm immediately bombarded with reasons why I obviously wont be treated and offered other alternative dates to return. Not caring for the pitch I thanked him politely and walked out. What sucks the most is I was referred by a coworker. Her visit was apparently amazing at the Mission Viejo location. As for me, lets just say it was no where near that. ** For those new customers reading this, I would suggest showing up 1-1.5 hours before their scheduled closing time. **

    I had a numbness in my right hand for almost a whole year. One of my buddies recommended The Joint.. the chiropractic place in Brea (which turned out to be really affordable). My first time, I arrived at the clinic and was greeted by Osman (who was really welcoming!). After a short form, I watched an informative video about the adjustments and how they were beneficial to health. After that I was adjusted by Dr. Rod and he was awesome. It's been a few adjustments now.. and the numbness in my hand is gone! It was amazing, really!
