Rise With the Sun for Better Health

It’s hard enough to get out of bed in the morning, and if you are like me, your morning routine typically involves hitting the snooze button over and over again. It always seems like I am fighting for those extra eight minutes when I know logically that eight minutes is not going to make a world of difference to my day. What would make a difference though, is if I were to get up even earlier and use that extra hour or so to my advantage.
Benefits of Waking up With the Sun
I judge that I, along with many others, would need some pretty good incentive for that to happen, so I sat down and came up with a few ideas that I thought I would share.
Get your daily workout done early - As soon as your day begins, the chaos meter will almost certainly turn itself on. So it can be beneficial to fit your exercise routine into the early hours before anyone else gets a chance to steal that time from you. It is a way that you can check something off of your to-do list before you really begin to face the beginning of the day.
Manage your housework - By the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is fold clothes, or prepare meals and lunches. That’s my time with my family and I usually push things to the side because I don’t want to give that time up. So I bargained … get that stuff done in the morning so that the guilt, and especially the stress of not doing it later doesn’t set in when I want to go to sleep.
Eat a nutritious breakfast - Breakfast is the time to jumpstart your metabolism and provide your body the key vitamins and nutrients that are needed for a productive day. A healthy meal in the morning will help promote wellness, energy, and focus and really doesn’t take much time at all to make.
Give yourself some peace - A quiet moment in the morning to have a coffee, read, meditate, or just be silent can do wonders for our daily stressors. It can be a time to collect our thoughts, plan the day’s activities, catch up with family on social media … whatever it is, it will be sure to bring some calmness to the day before that chaos meter notices that you have woken up.
Waking up a little bit earlier every morning can have a positive effect on your overall wellness for one other reason, and that is it can free up more time during the day so that you can get adjusted by your local chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic.
