Dr. Aleta Bezzic has over 34 years’ experience as a Chiropractic Physician. She graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic University in 1990. She had her own private practice for over 15 years in Oklahoma, before going on adventures with Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza on tour as guardian to the minor artists in the show.

Following her years on tour with Cirque du Soleil, she moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where she lived and worked as a chiropractor for eight years. She was licensed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and was well known across the Persian Gulf region.

She returned to the USA in 2019 to be a caregiver for her father. She practiced chiropractic in her hometown of Leadville, Colorado for several years before they decided to relocate to Southern California to enjoy a warmer climate.

Clinically, Dr. Aleta has enjoyed treating a variety of conditions and she learned unique approaches to challenging areas; such as rib subluxations, sciatica, headaches, and shoulder immobility. She loves treating children of all ages and has experience treating pregnant patients at all stages.

On her days off she enjoys going to the beach with her dad and dogs. She writes fiction and non-fiction novels in her free time.

Dr. Oscar Valdez comes from the beautiful desert city of Tucson, Arizona where he earned a degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Arizona. Before pursuing his college education, he served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, completing a combat tour and a deployment to the U.S. border. It was in the National Guard that he developed an affinity for ground-based combat techniques and later fell in love with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he now holds a Black belt.

While in Arizona, Dr. Valdez worked as a Corrections Officer for the Sheriff’s Department for several years. Through his own diverse experiences, he developed issues with his spine that led him to Chiropractic care. This journey inspired him to become a Chiropractic Assistant, reinforcing his desire to help others.

Dr. Valdez earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Southern California University of Health Sciences. While studying, he worked at the Sports Med Clinic, integrating his own experiences – ranging from jiujitsu to 14 years of playing soccer, alongside his military background -into the knowledge he was acquiring. He further enhanced his skills through internships at various clinics throughout southern California.

Outside of the office, Dr. Valdez spends his time on the mats, outdoors, and with his beloved family. He’s been married for over 14 years and has 3 beautiful children who are currently being homeschooled. Dr. Valdez enjoys hiking, a good meal, drums/percussion instruments, and serving in his Church as a Youth Leader. Having never experienced being adjusted before, Dr. Lorraine received her first chiropractic adjustment while in chiropractic school, by a then student doctor. So chiropractic was more of an inner calling than having experienced its benefits beforehand.

With her massage therapy background, an undergraduate degree in exercise science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree (Life Chiropractic College West c/o 2022), Dr. Lorraine is excited to utilize all she’s learned and continues to learn and grow in to help people feel more ease and greater depth of who they are beyond aches and pains through chiropractic care.

In her moments away from The Joint, Dr. Lorraine enjoys time doing absolutely nothing, time with family, shooting around at the basketball court, working out (when consistency permits) or you can find her at the dining room table working on a 1000 piece (or more) puzzle.

Dr. David Rowell is originally from Tennessee but has called California home for more than 25 years. His relocation west began with his service in the U.S. Marines while stationed in San Diego, where he served in the Infantry and Security Forces. After completing his military service, he briefly returned to Tennessee to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Tennessee. Following graduation, he returned to California with plans to pursue a career in physical therapy.

While researching graduate programs, Dr. Rowell formed an influential connection with a retired chiropractor who had attended the original Palmer College in Iowa. That mentorship proved transformative, inspiring him to pursue chiropractic care as a profession. Today, Dr. Rowell is dedicated to helping patients improve their quality of life by addressing the physical demands of everyday life and play.

Out of the office, Dr. Rowell enjoys restoring his vintage Toyota pickup truck and spending time on hands-on hobbies such as welding, bushcraft, winemaking, and gardening. He has been with his wife for 24 years and enjoys traveling—especially to destinations that require a passport.
