Give the Gift of Health This Christmas
By Brandi Goodman
Toys and electronics tend to be the top gift choices each Christmas. Most of these are enjoyable for the person who receives them but they don't do much to help with health. Give the gift of health this Christmas by choosing unique presents that actually inspire wellness.
A Healthy Cookbook
A cookbook is a common gift to give. Don't just purchase the first one you see though. Find a healthy cookbook with lots of nutritious recipes. You may inspire the person you gift it to to try some new recipes they otherwise wouldn't have.
Sports Equipment and Safety Gear
Maybe you have a child or teen in your life who enjoys playing sports. Don't just get them the ball. Get the related sports equipment and safety gear to be sure they're being safe as they play. Safety is related to health. Someone can easily get injured while playing sports and endanger their well-being.
A Water Bottle
Everyone should have a water bottle that they keep with them daily. You should be drinking lots of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated and energized. Even if the person you're buying for already has a bottle, there's never too many in a collection. They may choose to keep yours at home while they use another at the office. If you're hoping to find an extravagant gift, then a self-cleaning water bottle is a great option.
A Fitness Class Pass
Perhaps your loved one has talked to you about joining a gym or trying out a fitness class. Gift them a fitness class pass for two. You can both go together which gives you quality time along with a chance to improve your wellness. The Milpitas Town Center has a 24 Hour Fitness location with a full class schedule.
A Fitness Tracker
It's easier to stay on track with your fitness goals if you have a tracker that does it for you. Gift a fitness tracker that easily connects to a phone app and provides details about calories burned, steps walked, and more. Some more advanced options track even more health concerns, such as your sleeping patterns and whether or not you're getting a good night's rest.
Christmas gifts can be enjoyable even while being healthy. Lots of great options exist. There's no doubt that you'll find something worthwhile that's beneficial to your loved one's well-being.
