Meet The Doctors
Dr. Joe is a chiropractor with The Joint Chiropractic. As the owner/franchisee of The Joint Chiropractic Salinas and Monterey. Dr Joe holds a degree from Palmer West Chiropractic College 15’ with the addition of his Sport Diplomate Post Doctoral studies (DACBSP) where he accumulated 500 hours of on field sport training.
Dr. Joe is no stranger to chiropractic, having spent 8 years in his field providing valuable service to his community about alternative, preventive health care. Dr. Joe unique approach comes from his training in a variety of outpatient clinics as well as sport facilities.
Prior to starting his Joint Chiropractic business Dr Joe spent time as a personal trainer as well as several years as a chiropractic student intern with Collegiate schools.
Dr. Joe specializes in Sport Injuries, Rehabilitation, and Sport therapies. His certification as a CCEP(chiropractic extremity provider), IASTM(instrument assisted soft tissue), and ART, has helped athletes and patients who struggle with common musculoskeletal conditions such as tennis elbow, sprained ankles and knee tendinitis.
Dr. Joe looks to teach and expand the minds of the community about chiropractic care and how chiropractic can overcome injuries that limit our abilities to perform life at a high quality.
Dr. Borges graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2011. When Dr. Borges suffered a life altering injury in 2006 that led him wheelchair bound, chiropractic adjustments were the only treatment that was successful.
After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care, Dr. Borges changed his educational path from becoming a plastic surgeon to becoming a chiropractor.
As a resident and native of the Monterey Peninsula, Dr. Borges is enthusiastic and honored to be able to provide chiropractic care to his community.
Dr. Borges specializes in providing gentle, safe, and effective chiropractic treatment for a wide variety of conditions such as full spine and extremity complaints, and injuries. It is his belief that each patient is a unique individual and should be evaluated and treated as such. His comprehensive philosophy combined with patient education and home care, has provided patients with long-term results.
Dr. Borges continues to enhance his education by attending numerous workshops and lectures throughout the year.
Dr. Nedzeya Stijes graduated from Life Chiropractic College West. Her techniques consist of activator, diversified, and Cranial Facial release. Dr. Stokes has been a healer for breathing disorders and migraines. She specializes in Cranial release and focuses on anti-aging care. You can find Dr. Stokes on the weekends at the Monterey Joint clinic.
