I have been going to Joints across the country for around 8 years. I had a really disappointing experience with Dr.Joe. From the moment I walked to the back area, he came off as rude and dismissive. Instead of listening to my concerns, he was quick to judge about frequencies of visits and made me feel uncomfortable about my choices. It felt more like being lectured than being cared for to the point that I almost walked out (if I was not in so much pain with no other option due to my schedule). The adjustment felt unnecessarily rough to the point of feeling worse than when I arrived, both physically and mentally. I would not recommend this location if you’re looking for a professional and respectful environment. Watsonville is less dismissive and cares for their patients. On another note the receptionist was extremely personable and was the only saving grace for this visit. This review does not reflect her customer service.

I had 11:00 appointment and it took an hour and a half to be seen. The other thing is the clinician kept moving my right knee while I was on my belly. Much further than it could go and I kept saying I've had a knee replacement there. Now that knee, that hasn't hurt for a very long time, hurts to bend and walk on it. I'm a little nervous about going again even though I've signed up for the whole package.

This place gave me my life back! I walked in a few months back barely able to walk or stand up straight with extreme back pain and loss of mobility. After just a few sessions, I could finally walk without feeling excruciating pain and my kids stopped making fun of me for hunching over to my left side all the time. Dr Davi has a wonderful staff and I am truly happy I found this place. The convenience of them being open 7 days a week and being able to walk-in at my leisure is an added bonus! I highly recommend!

This place is a SCAM!!! Please do yourself a favor and go to an actual chiropractor. I came for the advertised 29$ visit… told me that I had to get on a membership. I made it very clear I didn’t want to be on a membership and they kept trying to force me to. They told me that if i didn’t then I’m wasting my time and money and that I should “go up the street” to another chiropractor. Very rude and unprofessional in my opinion.It’s very clear this place treats its patients as numbers. ANDDD if that wasn’t enough kept trying to force me to leave a review…. which first off reviews come naturally and from great experiences not through a scammy “clinic”. Save your time, money and yourself from. coming here.

They have a price list and there is a one time visit option for $55 but I was quietly told that they don’t really do that there. Felt extremely pressured into purchasing a subscription. The chiropractor did a great job but could have had a little better tableside manner. Just wanted some place that I could occasionally go to and get an adjustment now I’m out money on a subscription I can’t cancel for 3 months and I don’t really feel the need to go back. One adjustment usually does the trick for me and I’m good for a while. If this sounds like you I wouldn’t try for the one time fee. Visited this same franchise in another state and never felt that pressured.

Dr Joe knows his stuff! I was only planning on coming for one visit as I was hoping to finding a clinic with ultrasound therapy. But one visit with Dr Joe has me more than convinced that I’m right where I need to be. From our first interaction he was able to help point out the root of my issues and made recommendations for a few items I should consider purchasing on Amazon to help make improvements at home. I’ve been to a lot of chiropractors in my lifetime and this is the first time I’ve had someone so willing to help me get to the bottom of it from the start. It also helps that he is (or at least was) a personal trainer and is also ART certified. He knows the human body and how it functions and compensates and how to get it back on track. So excited to make the health of my spine a priority and finally tackle my issues head on. Thank you Dr Joe! And shout out to Ann Marie at the front desk who walked me through the whole process with a genuine sense of hospitality that can be hard to come by, these days. :)

Terrible experience. This place will not honor their prices posted in store and online. My wife went in for her first time due to an injury. Unfortunately due to the holidays her normal Dr was unavailable and this was the best alternative. My wife was "recommended" a wellness package which she opted out of but was not allowed to pay the $29 fee or the $55 single visit fee (both advertised in store and online). Not being one to walk out and break the law she was left with no choice but to pay. I myself had the EXACT SAME situation she was in but WAS allowed to pay the $29 and $55 prior to this incident. This place is dishonest and takes advantage of people, and for those seeking medical care for a low cost, I'm sorry to say but this place will not help you unless you fight to pay for the service you SPECIFICALLY asked for or just walk out. Dr Joseph Davi will not provide a service at a low cost or at what YOU requested specifically. I enjoy my personal chiropractor, but this place gives chiropractors a bad name. Hold your ground and do not get sucked into the fees.

Dr. Borges actually is the first chiropractor that can actually get my neck to crack and straighten up. He is located at The JOINT in Monterey California. The only thing that has ever worked in the past is either an actual machine that a great Chiropractor at the Joint in Dallas uses or Dr. Joseph in Monterey will use the neck strap and pull on it quite a bit, and that, sometimes, will help. But, Dr. Borges has actually softened up the muscles around my neck where I can turn it completely. I can rotate completely to my right side and my left side so much more than before. And, then, he actually took the tool that softens up the muscle, and he was able to then get a crack on the right side and a crack on the left side of my neck, which gave me incredible rotation! I really have not had such a great chiropractic experience in years. Greatly appreciate you Dr. Borges!

I seldom take the time to write yelp reviews, but I feel everyone who's thinking of using this business needs to know how they operate before signing up. They use a business tactic known as "predatory cancellation". Meaning, they make it extremely difficult to cancel treatment, essentially forcing you to cancel services in person. They are not accommodating to any personal circumstance. My wife needed to cancel services because timing wise, we just couldn't make the sessions. We were happy to pay for the month we didn't use, no issues there. It was the fact that they held us on the phone for 20 min. telling us that it's their "policy" to only cancel in person. But again, there use of "policy" is just a code word for "predatory cancellation". Practically any other business in this day and age will happily leverage web based, app, or telephone methods to cancel appointments and services. Therefore, the only reason this business mandates in-person cancellation is to coerce you out of your money. Going into law soonish is a policy called "California Amends Automatic Renewal Law" or the FTC's "Click-to-Cancel". Once this does, businesses such as this one will be in direct violation of making it difficult to cancel services. Any previous patient who's run into this issue should keep this in mind. I would also like to mention, this review is not based on their therapeutic services. This is mainly for awareness on their subscription service practices.

This organization was completely responsible for misfiling financial documents to my Insurance company and because of the ownerships lack of leadership, the insurance claims for my adjustments were denied. They tried to play the “it’s your insurance “ card, but when I called the insurance the rep said the joint chiropractic never filed any forms for approval of the services provided until January of 2025, our services were from August to November. Totally irresponsible and disorganized, lacking a moral code to take responsibility for their mistakes and simply say, “you know, we made a huge mistake with your client file, we apologize and will not try charging you the full amount, because we did not file your forms on time, we will discount your total amount due for this mistake.” Nope, instead they’re saying we owe over $600 of what the insurance rejected. Again, rejected because they did not file the forms in a timely manner.

Today I went for my first appointment at The Joint Chiropractic Center and had an experience unlike any previous time in my life. First of all, the ladies at the front desk were so sweet, welcoming, very patient and helpful with all my questions. I was blessed with getting Dr. Borges to preform my adjustment. He was also very kind and patient with me. He took his time in explaining the physics and the process of the adjustments he’d be making and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. We ended the appointment with me feeling actual relief for the first time in I don’t remember when. And I signed up for one of the package deals they had right away! WARNING: This clinic will keep you locked into a plan even after you cancel. I’ve had a terrible experience with this chiropractic clinic. Earlier this year, I signed up for a wellness plan, but due to an unexpected medical situation, I could no longer afford the monthly payments. I immediately submitted my completed cancellation paperwork via email—only to receive no response for over a week. After following up and still getting no reply, I finally called, only to be met with an ultimatum. Despite submitting my cancellation at the start of the new billing cycle, the clinic is refusing to honor it unless I pay for March’s cycle. When I explained my situation, I was met with a cold response: “This is just simply protocol.” A so-called “wellness” clinic that disregards patient well-being when it conflicts with their profits is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

100% SCAM. The $29 first visit is really over $100. I canceled in person and was still charged $89 for another month. Terrible business practice with employees that will lie directly to your face about the "plan" they are signing you up for. I was told I could cancel anytime before the renewal date, turns out that's a lie too. They will refuse to cancel unless you come into the office in person on the actual renewal date. It's weird how people feel this comfortable running such a complete scam with a smile on their face. The fact that would go as far as replying with a bold faced lie that my card declined is sad. I went into your office multiple times with no mention of my card declining. I also check my credit card statements regularly; it never declined. It did get charged after I canceled. Does it make you feel like you aren't running a scam operation by making things up? You are a sad individual indeed.

I was a patient here for over 1 yr. I was happy with the service provided and felt they did a nice job. The issue is when I moved out of state they made it extremely hard to cancel and continued to bill me for well over a year. Multiple excuses of having me want to come to the office to cancel when I no longer lived there. This is 100% delay tactic to make it hard for you to cancel - never understood why I needed to come to cancel a service I no longer wanted or could go to. Called multiple times and would always get the run around of having to have other people call me, chasing down forms, etc. to this day I’m still trying to get them to stop billing me because assumed it was done and just saw they are still charging. Called them and they refused to refund and still tried to get me to come on. Justified it with: well it’s on the contract you signed. Will be reporting to BBB and contesting charges. Horrible business practice that is all about their revenue and not about the patients.

I was in and out of this place shortly after finishing the paperwork for my first appointment. Manjit, Evelyn, and Tai were all super kind and efficient! It was a pleasure and I'm glad to return for followups. Manjit did the adjustments and it was great! My back is really messed up, so it hurt, but she minimized the pain and quickly put me back into a working order. I highly recommend her, though I'm sure that the other chiropractors are also great. Overall a wonderful experience, and much better than the last time I visited a chiropractor. I'm pleasantly surprised since it's a franchise and I wasn't sure what to expect. Last, but not least, they have a military discount and the price per session is reasonable. Thank you, Manjit!

When Dr. Manjit began to work on my back, pelvic area, shoulders, and neck, I was very concerned that my results would be minimal as I had been in such severe pain for over months without any results by attempting other type of treatments. The most hellish customer service of my life. I went in for about a month with back pain, but the pain only intensified (the last time I went, I was literally in the hospital that night), so I called online to cancel my membership. They said I couldn't because it had to be in person TWO DAYS BEFORE they charge...which they conveniently don't market. I went in, and Joe started yelling at me and calling me naive and said that if I was really injured, I should be in crutches or a wheelchair. He asked why I hadn't come in person to cancel before, and I explained I am a college student (with no car that lives over a mile and a half away) and that I have been busy with finals...and he laughed at my face. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because a man should NEVER talk to a young lady that way. This business is a joke, don't go unless you're ready to get harassed! Wish I could give 0 stars.

I came in for the $29 initial adjustment. I found out that it only applies when you sign up for a plan, which i was ok with because I thought it would be good to have more than one adjustment on my trip. I asked several times to try to find out what my cheapest option would be (I was on vacation and didn't need a plan, we don't have any chains near me). I was told I could pay a total of $118 for the initial visit and the cheapest plan, which I consented to. The adjustment itself was good and helpful, and I would recommend solely for the chiropractor. He told me that the visit that day would be free on the way out. But then the front desk lady told me that I would have to pay $228 because she was wrong about the plans, and you can't sign up for just one month, it has to be two. Eventually she just let me pay for the $29 and I said I would come back for a one time $45 adjustment, as advertised on the website and in the clinic. I called before I came to make sure that I would be able to just walk in and pay for one $45 adjustment. The employee on the phone reassured me that I could. When I showed up, she apologetically told me that she tried to call me back to let me know that, actually, I couldn't get one adjustment without signing up for a plan. She was very kind about it and owned her mistake-in my opinion, she's a great employee who works for a confusing system. The whole thing feels gimmicky and like they're trying to hook you to charge more, and it's not straightforward at all. If you live in town and want to pay for regular visits, it's probably a good deal for a good adjustment, but I wanted to share my experience for anyone in a similar situation to me. If they would've been straightforward, I could've found another place to receive an adjustment without the two-time hassle. I am a strong believer in chiropractic, but would personally have a strong hesitation against choosing The Joint again simply for their business model. To respond to the comment from the owner: I had no intention of being rude. My intention with your staff was to ask direct questions to get an accurate understanding of the price, which I was very confused about. Please forgive anything I said that came across as rude, I didn't realize it couldn't been perceived that way. Your front staff employees that I interacted with were both excellent in customer service, if not fully informed of the fine print. But I did come in twice, and I stand by my review as honest and will leave it for the good of anyone else it might help.

Dr Joseph Davi was literally magic. After a short hands on assessment he massaged my back to loosen the muscles. Most chiropractors reef on your body. This guy, gently touched on opposing locations. A pop here then there. He got a little more aggressive in one stubborn location, but was able to achieve success without reefing on my body. From bottom to top. I've seen many chiropractors. Dr Joseph Davi is the best I've ever had work on me.

Despite my physical visits to cancel my membership, which I rarely use, I continue to be charged on my credit card. This recurring issue has caused me significant inconvenience, and I am now compelled to make another visit to resolve this matter. I signed up because the front desk staff (who are friendly, by the way) repeatedly told me they would be open on Saturdays and to please give them a chance and not cancel my membership. After months of waiting and not using my membership, I decided to cancel it as I can see he will never be open on Saturdays. To the owner, I WANT YOU TO STOP CHARGING ME FOR A MEMBERSHIP I DO NOT WANT! False advertising led me to sign up (open seven days a week, not valid). I feel compelled to share my negative experience with this service. Despite my efforts to cancel in person and over the phone, I am still being charged. This is not only frustrating but also a clear indication of subpar service. I strongly advise against using this service.

Just had my first initial exam visit and alignment. It was a very quick fast pace situation. Which I’m OK with I am leaving the clinic in more pain, but I showed up with. But I am standing up straighter and I have my pelvic area moved forward like it should be. I think it’s a good experience. Plan on coming here for the next two months to see how this works out.

My first adjustment was great. I was treated by a very friendly and engaging man who looked me in my eyes and told me what I needed and the course of treatment to correct it. My second and last adjustment was done by a man with zero interest in me or the job he's there to do. Without ever looking at me he told me to lie face down and proceeded to mangle my back, chest and neck. Mind you I signed up for wellness. I had no majors issues prior to coming in. I left that day not feeling great about the adjustment. I felt a ton of pressure in my mid back, sternum and neck that night. This pressure escalated to full blow pain that radiated the left side of my chest and neck. For 4 days I couldn't take full breaths, sleep on my side, turn or bend fully on my left side. I believe he severally pulled something. Tomorrow will be a full week since that adjustment and I now only have slight pain when bending. It was a rough week to say the least. They rope you into a contract on sign up that doesn't let you cancel for two months. So they get theirs anyway it goes. Think I'll stick with massages and make an appointment with a real chiropractor in the future. Lesson learned.

I was happy to find a Joint while I was visiting the area. I have never received such an impersonal adjustment in my life. I waited approx 20 minutes while the doctor talked at length with the 2 patients in front of me. No big deal. He seemed to be taking his time and making sure they were pain free. Then he proceeded to check his computer for 10 minutes while I laid there, never acknowledging me. Then walks up and starts lifting the adjustment table at my hips. Gives me instructions to move onto my back. Adjusts my mid back and neck. The neck adjustment was especially rough. Then says, ok, there you go. What have you been working on with your chiropractor? I said, well everything, I am in constant pain. He follows up with, well okay then. I work in healthcare and even treating me a little more personally or asking if that helped or in anyway checking in to see if I was in pain would have been great. I almost wanted to cry afterwards. Not a good experience at all. I did hear him mention to the other patients he needs help there. Burnout is a real thing and it appeared evident during my adjustment.

A pleasant fist time visit. I came in with a strained lower back. I have had chiropractor work with ten or more chiropractors starting back in 1982 so I have a pretty comprehensive understanding of what a good chiropractor is and found Dr. Davi quite competent. No x-rays needed which typically I don’t think is necssary. Dr. Davi was professional and seemed focused and attentive to my needs and offered suggestions for my bad knees. Over all a good experience with much needed relief. I will definitely be coming back for more treatments.

I was initially excited when they opened one in Monterey, but it has been a huge disappointment since the second visit. During my first visit, Dr. Joe was very personable and took the time to adjust his clients. However, during the second visit and subsequent visits, he has been very impersonal and does not smile nor say anything besides "you can lie on that table," without even looking at you. He Made it seem like this is such an inconvenience for him to perform his job. I have voiced my pain to him multiple times, but he has dismissed them. I believe that most people come here because they are in pain, and if he cannot show empathy, then perhaps this is not the right field for him. I initially tried to be understanding, thinking that maybe he had too many clients or that things would improve, but after giving this place a few months' chance, I have decided to cancel my membership.

I went in because I was in pain from a pinched nerve. My whole body was tensed up from being in a lot of pain. Dr. Joe was able to help me and do an adjustment without it hurting. Came to this location while on a mini vacation with my wife. A lot of walking/hiking had us pretty tight. Dr. Joe is incredible. My wife and i were both adjusted and are feeling great. He takes his time, asks real health questions, and is very thorough. Because i have a severe curve in my spine, my mid back and neck arent always easy to adjust. Dr. Joe is a 10/10.

If you have any doubts, I urge you to give The Joint and Dr. Joe a chance. I entered the building skeptically. I've had some chiropractic work before and they were all underwhelming at best, outright scams at worst. I only went because my visit was free during the grand opening. Visits are normally $45 each or a month (four visits) for $90, so costs are quite reasonable. Dr. Joe does a wonderful job of explaining the issues, listens to you, and informs you how he intends to address it. I was suffering from lower back pain and decreased range of motion- Dr. Joe had me moving much more comfortably in a short half hour. The relief was lesser, but still noticeable, the next morning. I learned that chiropractic work is like exercise- it can take time to condition your body and see the best results. I do intend to return for at least a month with once per week visits, I expect to be able to update my review with good things!

Front staff Lisa was so very helpful explaining everything and the doctor was amazing friendly helpful. Very fast in and out. So affordable I wouldn't have went to a chiropractor otherwise. I will be back and recommend to everyone
