Dr. Sophia Chang joined The Joint Chiropractic’s network of doctors in 2021, when she became the local chiropractor in Los Angeles, California. She is a graduate from Cleveland Chiropractic College and is excited to relive the local community of all aches and pains.
Dr. Chang knew that chiropractic care was her calling after an injury playing volleyball in school. Nothing was able to relieve her pain until she met her chiropractor who was able to get her back on the court.
Dr. Chang says that the best thing about working in the chiropractic field is her patients. She loves being able to help others find the relief she also found from routine chiropractic care.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Chang has learned to serve a range of patients from infants to athletes, with a range of cases, including migraines, neck pain, upper and lower back pain, sciatica, arthritis and more.
When Dr. Chang is not working at The Joint Chiropractic in Los Angeles, California she enjoys photography, hiking and going to the beach.
Dr. Megan Gorton attended Utah Valley University and graduated with her Bachelors of Exercise Science. She later graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences with her Doctors of Chiropractic degree. She says the best part about being in the chiropractic field is that she, “loves holistic healthcare, meeting patients from all walks of life and all ages and there are so many different ways to approach how you treat.” Dr. Megan has been working at The Joint since 2022, she knew chiropractic was her calling when she was surrounded by chiropractors in the Olympic world that are so knowledgeable, personable and athletes were responding great to conservative care.
When Dr. Megan Gorton is not working she enjoys doing anything outside in nature, trying new foods (especially the new Crumbl cookie flavors), and thrift shopping. She says the one thing she must have in her fridge is cheese! She says, “it goes with everything!” Four people, living or dead, who would comprise her perfect dinner party would be the cast of FRIENDS. She says the coolest thing she has ever done was backpacking 500 miles in 30 days in Spain. She says, “it was the most fun, humbling, difficult, and rewarding experience!”
Graduated 1995 from Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles. Doctor of Chiropractic. The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is seeing patients positive, and delighted reactions to spinal adjustments.
I enjoy spending time with my daughters, playing and watching soccer. The first time I recieved a chiropractic adjustment in college, I knew that I wanted to give people the same relief I felt.
Describing to new patients what chiropractic is and how The Joint has made chiropractic accessible to everyone is what I like best about the joint. Oatmilk in my fridge. Jesus, Elvis, my two daughters.
