Meet The Doctors
Dr. Jason Mack’s first experience with chiropractic came to him after he was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the young age of nine years old.Instead of resorting to harsh steroids and drugs for treatment as prescribed by his MD’s, Dr. Mack’s mother chose a more holistic approach combining chiropractic, Chinese herbal medicine, and a macrobiotic diet. Six months later, the JRA went into remission, and Dr. Mack continues to embrace the chiropractic lifestyle till this day to keep his nervous system and spine healthy.
Dr. Mack began his undergraduate studies majoring in Exercise Biology and minoring in Community Nutrition at the University of California, Davis. In 2007, he earned his doctor of chiropractic at Palmer West Chiropractic College in San Jose where he worked as an associate doctor for 3 years. After getting married, Dr. Mack and his wife returned to their home town in Sacramento where he opened his own private office, and later decided to work for the “The Joint” in Roseville where he lives with his wife, two children, and dog. His passion to educate and adjust his local community without dealing with 3rd party insurance groups allows him to focus more on patient care and maintenance of their health through an affordable and convenient chiropractic model. In his spare time, Dr. Mack’s enjoys skiing, lifting weights, running, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Scott Shintaku was born and raised in Sacramento, California. During the hot and sunny summers of Sacramento, he acquired a passion for sports and the outdoors. After suffering a shoulder injury playing baseball, he received chiropractic care and his interest in the profession began. This injury and his passion for helping others lead him to pursue a Bachelor's of Kinesiology at San Francisco State University, where he was also involved in the Kinesiology Student Association. Following this, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West where he graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Chiropractic, and was involved with their Sports Council and Motion Palpation clubs. He has experience treating athletes at various Sports Council events, as well as working with the general population in Palmer's student clinic. Dr. Scott strives to deliver patient centered care, helping them to restore range of motion while relieving pain.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Shintaku loves to live an active lifestyle by regularly training at the gym. He enjoys playing and watching a wide variety of sports, including baseball, soccer, basketball, and football. He is a huge fan of the SF giants, 49ers, and Sac Kings. In addition, Dr. Shintaku enjoys fishing, hiking, and listening to live music.
Christine has been with Joint Ventures since 2017. She enjoys her job, what we do and our message. Christine had some obstacles in 2020 but her commitment to Joint Ventures and success has never diminished. She represents the clinic at the highest standard and continues to lead the clinic in success.
