Four Fun Fitness Classes That Help Burn Calories
By Brandi Swieter
No one wants to be stuck doing the same fitness routine over and over again. The monotony leaves people feeling bored and restless, which often results in little effort put into the workout. When someone wants to burn more calories and get in a real workout for the day, there are four fun fitness classes they can take to help put them back in the spirit.
LazRfit
Laser tag proves to be a major cardio workout on its own. Players must run, duck, dodge, and aim to avoid getting hit by another person’s laser while also working to take out their opponents. A LazRfit fit class has been developed that incorporates many more obstacles into the mix. Participants must now jump, dive, and climb over walls as they make their way through the course. The laser doesn’t recharge unless players keep moving.
BariBounce
Many classes incorporate mini trampolines, but none do it the way the BariBounce sessions do. Rather than stepping on and of the tramp and using it like a stepper, participants keep their cores engaged by jumping, dancing, and jogging in place. It’s one of the ultimate calorie-burning workouts available. If there isn’t a class like this in the area, gym-goers can check out places like Sky Zone instead that let them play and jump on a bunch of trampolines. It will definitely get the heart rate going while being fun.
Shadowbox
Boxing helps to sculpt muscles and torch calories, but those benefits can be stepped up even further with a Shadowbox class. This class keeps the heart rate up throughout the entire session by using active rests. Rather than resting in between punching techniques using the heavy bags, participants continue moving while their instructor teaches bodyweight exercises.
Water Biking
Regular stationary bikes work the legs out well, but they leave riders sitting in one spot the entire time. Take it up a notch by joining a water biking class instead. Riders get to use stationary bikes attached to boards that float through the water. There are plenty of sites to see and beautiful scenery to look at while people keep their legs moving.
Fun fitness classes help to keep people motivated while they work out. Rather than sticking to a tedious workout that leaves many people bored and letting their minds wander, these enjoyable classes help to keep participants wanting more. It’s easier to keep their heads in the game and wanting to continue so they can burn calories and get their fitness on track.
