There always seems to be a issue with my appointment. I had to reschedule several times. Today's appointment the office was late. I was 1st to arrive, but someone was taking ahead of me. I don't understand this. Appointment jumping due to customer walking in and I awaiting in lobby allowed me to get pushed back. This is why the 2nd appointment was rescheduled. 1st due to somewhat same scenario. Appointment at 10a, but needed to reschedule due to being overlooked and running out of time. I've been coming to this location for a few years now. Dr.Bryan Kao is undoubtedly the best chiropractor I've found for someone of my height and weight. Not only does he provide the exact adjustments needed, but he also educates me on stretches, mobility improvements, and what is going on. This helps my workouts and keeps me in tune with my body. Regularly, there will be a line of people waiting specifically for him cause if you know, you know. I've even gone to other locations in the bay, and they know of him or have heard of him. That's some aura. I've noticed a few things about this practice that could easily be improved to enhance customer and worker experience. 1. You can either be seen immediately or wait 5 - 30 mins to be seen, mostly it's immediately - 20 mins. You learn days and times for likely shorter waits. Not once have I ever seen more than 2 doctors there, and if most see Dr.Bryan, you're waiting. On top of this, The Joint's motto is to walk in and receive service for the first time or as an existing patient, but if multiple first-time consultations walk-in then you can really be waiting as an existing patient. There's no way of truly knowing the wait is until you show up. So an easy fix would be to have any extra person scheduled during the busy times; there are already two more beds in the middle that I've never seen used. Were those installed so we can look at them and wish our time to treatment was improved? For first-time consultations, have them wait a little longer and let the existing patients go, get them done, then take your time with the consultation. Another idea is to utilize the app to show estimated wait times. Among the differing experiences, I see Dr.Bryan navigating as the site leader for patients and co-workers to ensure things go as smoothly as possible, given the circumstances. I'm truly thankful to have met a chiropractor such as him and found this location. Also, the front desk staff is super nice and upfront about the expected wait. I read a few reviews saying they are trying to sell them on a monthly plan without insurance involved; it's a business that sells a product that is the product. Here's the thing: 4 times per month for $89 vs insurance BS, usually 12-24 visits per year, and waiting a month to see a doctor for your next appointment. The math is mathin' based on your needs, of course. And some people are saying they don't like the front desk small talk about their lives; if they kept business only, there'd be someone here saying they don't talk enough. LOL. Above all, this place is amazing thanks to the staff and the care of Dr.Bryan.

If you’re looking for a chiropractor and feeling unsure about where to start, I highly recommend Dr. Ido. I went in with specific problem areas and honestly didn’t know what to expect, but he really took the time to listen and understand what was going on. I never felt rushed or brushed off. Today I had my new patient appointment and I was very excited to try it out. I was also very nervous since I had not seen a chiropractor for a very long time. I got to meet Dr. Brian/Bryan for the first time and we had a long talk about my health conditions and although it did raise a few concerns, Dr. Brian/Bryan finally gave me a chance to be seen. During this session he made quite a few adjustments, from head to toe. I had never met anyone before with super human strength like Dr. Brian/Bryan before and this surprised me. All I could utter was wow you’re strong. He wanted me to elaborate on my comment in jest but I could not. Simply, I was just too impressed by how he worked on my body. He surprised me. He gave me a very thorough treatment and I could not be more grateful for his time and help. He did tell me to expect some soreness after the appointment but when I walked out of his office I actually felt quite refreshed, and perhaps even energized because my pain had subsided significantly upon completion of today’s treatment. Just visiting the joint after a very long time. It was a very busy morning and there was a wait to been seen. I told the front desk person I was in pain a not feeling well. Dr. Bryan was great he explained to me the process and what I needed. I was going to buy the plan because I really need the adjustment. The front desk person Mary was really pushy about the plans and when I told her about me using my insurance, she got even more aggressive. In the beginning she was changing me as a new client and when I said about my insurance she said ho nevermind you need to pay the full price. She also made comments about me paying cash. This review is for Dr. Pedram at The Joint, Brokaw clinic. I had been struggling with chronic upper back/shoulder and neck pain for 2+ months. I tried acupuncture, chiropractic, massage and pain medications but my condition did not improve. Thankfully, I tried The Joint. Dr. Pedram was in the office on this day. He listened how I was injured and took note of previous injuries to my neck and back. And because of my mid-60’s age and mileage, it’s important to avoid being too heavy on the adjustment as I can suffer more pain as a result. (And that happened to me twice before) Dr. Pedram understood the severity of my condition and worked out the knots prior to making an adjustment. He had the perfect touch and was not too forceful. And for once, I left feeling better than when I had arrived. Keep in mind I had seen six other chiropractors at other chiropractic clinics previously, only to leave feeling worse. I also appreciate his advice on doing preventative trigger point massages on my own time. I am very grateful to be under his expert care and would definitely recommend him to family and friends. I practice MMA as well as work a full time job so I definitely can get very tense and feel as if I need to crack my back and then some, however every time with them it makes me feel like I can lift a car over my head or do endless cartwheels in Jiu Jitsu! I would highly recommend coming here if you have continuous joint pain as they are extremely knowledgeable on how the body is supposed to preform and heal. If you have any questions do not be shy to ask as they will answer to their best ability. Thank you for giving me a greater sense of mobility and recovery! Not to mention a walk in with no appointment is only $30! No reason not to at least try it on a day off!

I been coming to this location for about a month and half after Rheumatologist, spine specialist, shoulder specialist and a physical therapist couldn't help me manage my shoulder and back pain for 4 moths I was taking oxycodone for pain medication. I saw an ad on Facebook one morning, I google it visit their website saw a great promotion they had and I was hook instantly, I'm not going to lie I was very skeptical but I was also very tire of been in pain all the time specially at night time, first visit I had a short intake, adjustments and treatment plan for a very very low price. After the second visit I stopped paint medication I still have pain but I can manage with Tylenol, best thing was able to sleep at night time. I know my shoulder problem still needs help but what I am 100% sure is coming to The joint Chiropractic was one of the best decisions I made. Both chiropractic are GREAT, receptionist always very nice, clean facility. Oh let me mention I tried other locations and this is my favorite 1000%.

Update: I could not sleep the night after I visited The Joint - I suffered from sharp pain when I swallowed lying on my back or when I raised my left arm turning to my right side. I went to see my regular chiropractor early in the morning. While he examined my spine he immediately noticed there’s a joint of bone not at its original position. The sharp pain was gone right away after he adjusted me. And I was able to walk more comfortably and bend my back a lot more. I called the clinic to inform them of the situation. I will see what updates I receive from them based on their protocols. Chiropractic is no joke and you should never ever give a patient treatment if you do not know how. ——————————————— I booked an appointment with The Joint because my regular chiropractic doctor is off on Sunday but I needed an immediate treatment in my stiff neck. The staff were friendly but unfortunately my neck condition got worse after the adjustment…Before the adjustment I could still move my head a little bit but on my way home my neck hurt every time the car turned or accelerated…it was so painful that I couldn’t help but cry…and now even raising my arm at some point, or bending my knee at certain angle would trigger the pain…it’s the first time I learned that chiropractic doctor’s skills could be so different……i wish I had waited for a day to see my regular chiropractor……

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Alex at The Joint on Brokaw Ave. He took the time to truly listen to me and pinpoint the exact source of my pain. Knowing that I had given birth just 10 months ago, he was incredibly understanding and non-judgmental when I mentioned that I hadn’t been able to work on my core strength yet. Dr. Alex was compassionate, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. He carefully localized my pain, identified the issue, and performed adjustments on my back and neck while ensuring I was comfortable throughout the process. He even held my hand for support and reassured me that my discomfort was likely a muscle strain rather than something more serious like a disc issue, which helped relieve a lot of my stress. What really stood out to me was that, for the first time at The Joint, a chiropractor actually provided me with exercises to do at home. And he did them all with me to make sure I was doing them right. I was in the office for about 20-25 minutes—something I’ve never experienced before—and I truly appreciated the time and attention he gave me. After the adjustment, I immediately felt better. I came to this location when i was in severe pain and had been seeking help through massage therapy and acupuncture. I called ahead around 1:20 pm and asked if I would be able to be seen because I was in so much pain and driving hurt due to the bumps on the road. The assistant said, “yes, as long as you get here before 2.” I told her “okay I’ll see you soon”. I arrived at 1:35 pm, the assistant then checked me in and says she’s unsure they will be able to see me today because they’re so busy and I have paper work i need to fill out. I was upset because i called prior to coming and the paper work only took 2 mins to fill out. As im turning the paper work in, the assistant tells me, “okay see you back after lunch.” I told her probably not and explained that i called ahead to confirm i would be able to be seen and you said yes. The assistant then said, “want me to ask?” I don’t understand why she didn’t ask on her own… And why she needed to ask me for advice, on how to do her job. I came back the next day and the chiropractor (chiro Lynn) states he can’t help me due to my level of pain i need to go to the ER. I told him that i came to the joint before with the same level of pain and the chiro still adjusted me. The chiro seemed unsure of his experience and wasn’t able to explain to me what is going on. He did crack me, i dont think it helped much and he didnt seem like he wanted to adjust me. The chiro seemed unsure and unwilling. I asked him to check my chart because i was seen for this issue before, he said there is nothing there. After my session the MA sold me on a package deal and said in order to cancel my plan, i need to come in person. "The Joint" doesnt take card info over the phone. As I'm checking out, I realize i dont have my credit card. I ask if i can call and give it to her over the phone. She smiles and yes says of course. (very contradicting) Anyways… really bad experience at this location. The one on king was completely different. I will be avoiding this location. King had a great assistant and chiro. He knew exactly how to explain what he was doing and what the problem was.

Only had one adjustment so far and signed up for the monthly plan. I will update my review after more visits. The initial adjustment itself was pretty good and I felt great after. That and the price alone makes it worth going for more. Maybe my requirements are different from a typical client, but one criticism I do have is that I like service to be more straightforward and any questions asked by the chiropractor should be directly relevant with the service at hand. I get that it's being friendly and that some customers actually like this, they like it when their chiropractor or whatever service provider takes an interest in them as people and some customers may actually take off stars for being impersonal. However, I like peace and quiet. I dislike small talk and having to answer questions about my personal life from a stranger is annoying. I came here to get my back cracked and neck readjusted and that is it. I don't think I am the only customer who is like this so please take note.

To be completely honest, this was a very difficult review to give a number of stars for. There are certain areas that are severely lacking, and I feel they deserve a one star however, the one thing that saves them is their kind and friendly customer service, which I have to give them is a full five stars unlike many other places in this day and age. What is my major problem here? They charge you almost $100 for the month for these four visits. However, each of these visits (I’ve timed multiple times) usually lasts anywhere between three and seven minutes in total for you to leave your car and come back to it. One major thing that really ticks me off is we had to do a very long initial survey and yet they never really spoke of it ever again and never used it, or utilize it in anyway during any of my visits. They can just do away with that long pointless survey because all they do is a “basic“ simple check up and the same old cracks in the same old places every single visit. I already told them a lot of this information but another final factor is that I honestly just don’t feel that much better after they crack my back. I would much rather spend 60$ on a one hour full body deep tissue massage. I forced myself to wait on doing this review because I really wanted to give them a one star after my first couple of visits. But again, the one thing that saved them was the fact that they are very kind and friendly and so I will not be giving them a one star review today. After two months and over $200 I can confidently say that they deserve closer to a 2 1/2 stars.

I was initially advised to try a chiropractor after having my lower back seize up on my once every year, but it would cause me immense pain with vision blurring and not being able to move, and ER visits with prescribed pain relievers and muscle relaxants didn’t seem to help. Not only is it affordable, its usually quick and I often feel better after a session, even if I’m just going in for an adjustment; I also enjoy chatting with the staff here! I know many people say that chiropractic services are all testimonial; all I can say is that ever since I started coming here (over 3 years now as of this review), my back has not seized up again!

I feel like I have a lot more positives than negative. But I do feel like they want you in and out really quick after the initial assessment. Also it felt like one of the doctor's tapped me on my butt. I mean yes, chiropractor have to touch you but this was not during the adjustment. I've been coming here these past few weeks and my neck pain that made it hard for me to turn my head is now gone. I love that there is an adult monthly membership for a low price of $89 that includes 4 visits for that month and $20 or additional visits. That's a lot lower than my deductible for my insurance. I've researched other places and this was the most affordable. I was a little hesitant but my friend has been here a few years ago and loved it and told me that that I can do my first initial appointment which is $29 and see if it's for me. Well... here I am... Still here. Dr. Joshua Wood is very gentle and gives great advice to care for my neck issues that I've had. Give The Joint a try... also they have many locations not only in San Jose but across the U.S. and the membership works at all locations. Martha, the front desk employee has been super helpful especially when I had questions over the phone before my 1st visit. Everyone is kind here.

Be careful when getting your chiropractic plan charged here. I was double charged both times without my contact before initiating said charges and sadly when using fsa/hsa funds if they charge you before the starting year and then AGAIN during the coming year, the refund will go back to previous year plan. Right now I have $790 that's going to expire in 80 days thanks to this. Very terrible way to handle consumer's spending. Would like to talk with corporate for proper mediation.

Updated: 9/26/23 I received a call and a fairly quick refund on the over charges. I was told it was a software issue and they thanked me for bringing it to their attention. I’m satisfied with the response and refund. So I’m updating the review stars. Again, still a good chiropractor service. And I’m glad they are fixing any software issues in billing now. Original review: 9/22/23 The service and folks working were fine. And I was happy with the multiple locations. However, I stopped my monthly service two months ago in July. I went and signed a piece of paper. (They told me I could not cancel over the phone) And yet after all this work they have now automatically charged me two months in a row AFTER i signed to have my account canceled. I have to call them again today to have the charges reversed. After doing a little research this seems to be a common problem with The joint at different locations. They are fine chiropractics just be sure to watch your statements after you stop service.

Got adjusted by Dr. McCune today, he's got a firm and experienced hand. Left feeling great! The other docs here are also very good. The quality of the docs at this location seem to be more stable than at some of the other locations, that's why i like to come here. Staff also always really friendly! There's also good restaurants nearby to eat at afterwards :)

I started coming to the joint after I was told that it would help me feel better. It soon became an easy self care to get cracked and close to work. I come after work or on the weekends easily 4x a month with the monthly plan. If you were to come more than your plan there’s a small fee which I personally don’t mind due to stress and stiffness. If you are on the heavier side, Dr Bryan makes sure that you leave feeling better and with more movement. Staff is friendly and inviting. Parking is simple even though it’s in a plaza. Recommend checking them out!

This place is amazing. I've been going here for over a year. I have a lot of problems with my back due to serious injuries when I was younger. I chose to purchase the multiple visits package. When I'm having pain or issues, I show up at The Joint, get adjusted and get on with my day. They have multiple offices around the city. I go to the Brokaw office, which is close to work, and also to the office in the Plant shopping center, which is closer to home. They even have offices in other cities and states. Don't live in pain. Don't pay absurd sums of money. Don't wait days for an appointment. Just go to the Joint. They've got your back! Literally!

I am so grateful for the services I receive at The Joint office (SJC-Brokaw). I struggle with the head-forward position and an untreated 15° thoracic scoliosis. As I have gotten older, I noticed that my posture was getting worse and worse. I had been doing some physical therapy which helped some but I wasn't seeing the type of improvement I had hoped for. The adjustments I receive from The Joint docs (Doc Bryan T, Lam, and Green) have been great at loosening up my spine and neck so that I can position my body in proper alignment. Once I was aware of my body position, I can adjust how I sit and stand to support the realignment process. I also received specific exercises that focus on correcting the 'head-forward' position. The docs review my file when I come in, I tell them what I've been working on since the last visit, and the treatment begins. I appreciate that they listen to me and are as dedicated to helping me correct my posture as I am. My husband had been trying to convince me to try chiro for quite some time. I finally relented about 18 months ago and the difference is notable and noticeable. It's TOTALLY worth every penny of the monthly subscription for me. The value is beyond compare. I'm a Kaiser member, but The Joint Chiropractic is so economically practical that I don't use the chiro service available through my health plan. It's the best decision I've made for my health in recent years.

Don't even bother unless you prepare to get sent home if your first time and your close to closing. The last patient should be allowed until 7 and then they close after. I had a lower back pain which seemed to be a sciatic on my left side. I couldn't really sleep very well for the last 2 weeks. Decided to visit the Joint after being recommended. Walked in with no appointment and took advantage of the first time adjustment fee. DR Bryan Kao was on duty and worked his magic. The pain literally disappeared. The real test came at bedtime where the pain would really be stronger especially when lying on my back. Well I slept like a baby!! I woke up this morning and feel good. I pray this is it. Thank you DR kao! I will see you again for maintenance.

I had upper back, neck and shoulder pain, I felt like I had a pinched nerve and my shoulder was jammed, the pain was intense. I had been to my doctor and they gave me a prescription for meds and phycal therapy no xrays or MRI, I could not move very well. 8 months later I was not any better. I needed a second opinion and found The Joint Chiropractor and Dr Scott and John were amazing, after the first visit I had alot less pain and I had alot more range of motion in my shoulder. After the 2nd visit I was feeling good, almost no pain, The adjustments were very precise and done with great technique. After my 3rd visit I was pain free and gained full range of motion in my shoulder. I would like to thank Dr Scott and John and staff for getting me back into a pain free life. Sorry for not doing this sooner.

0 stars. This place ripped off my elderly mother off her money. She is in her 70s and not comfortable with English language. I took her for an initial treatment through a first time promotion, and they tried to hard sell us on joining the membership, which I was able to turn away. However, they called my mother and asked her to go for a second time by giving her an appointment with date and time. She went faithfully thinking it is a doctor's request so she must comply, and unfortunately she went without me. That's when they got her! She was vulnerable and they got her to "fill out a form" where the lady in the front desk said don't worry about the rest, just sign and initial at the places indicated, and i'll fill out the rest. She thought it was a routine form, but it was a monthly membership agreement that they strong-armed her into signing unbeknownst to her or me, which costs $69 per month!!! She got her treatment for the day and thought nothing of the trip. 11 months passed by and we did not notice, and one day recently I just checked my mother's checking account on her request and saw a series of $69 charges . I stood up in shock! I went back in time and saw that this fraud had been happening since 11 consecutive months! I was disgusted, angry, shocked. I decided to go confront the "Dr Scott" who treated her to let him know of this situation and how the front desk lady did not explain the implication of what or why she is signing document, and the fact that the form was filled out by the front desk lady, not my mom. My mom only filled out her name and signature and few other essential details. She was not made to read or consent to anything, and they got her to sign the agreement contract. But he was rude and did not immediately accept the wrongdoing. On multiple insistence he agreed to take the matter up to "Operations Manager" and the owner of the business. Two weeks went by nothing, and after multiple voicemails heard back the "verdict" that they will refund only 3 months whereas no service was ever rendered in those 11 months except the first visit where my mother was strong armed into signing by their staff. My mother who has limited money to begin with lost a total of $759 of which they have returned only $207. Horrible people, horrible service, horrible human beings!!! They stole an innocent old lady's limited money. Do yourself and others a favor and do not go to this business establishment to show that cheaters never prosper!! These people are thieves and crooks, do not support them. There are plenty of chiropractic clinics all over the city. Update: 11/9/2018 in response to the owner's response All I can say is enjoy the money you "stole" from us! Yes you and your staff collectively stole our money from us, and nothing you say will ever change that. You know you are in the wrong when you do not adequately explain to some person with limited English language skills the implication of what she is signing, and by only highlighting the places on the form that need to be signed or initialed, and filling out the rest yourself by your front desk staffer whom you have trained well to force unsuspecting victims like my mom into signing up for your membership. Remember Cheaters never prosper. You had a choice to undo the wrong when we reported it to you, but you chose not to do that.

Came here at 2.35 pm to see a notice that doctor is out for lunch. Come back at 3.30 pm. Luckily an earlier patient was stepping out because of which i got to get in but after asking them WHY I am paying subscription IF they are not going to be open on the timings specified. I haven't seen this happen at other locations. People drive in from work and if they plan to close the clinic at adhoc notice then they have no business being a franchise. So I agree with the previous reviewer about inconsistent timing. The entire philosophy is based on being able to walkin DURING ADVERTISED hours to get a quick adjustment. If this clinic cannot support multiple patients with multiple doctors then they should close this location and consolidate doctors at one of the other Joints nearby. The doctor is great but if i can't get the service that I'm promised then I am wasting precious time driving to this location in the middle of office hours to get a fix for an aching back

I would like to start by saying Dr. Scott (magic hands) is AWESOME!! My husband has had migraines for 5 yrs, he was taking Excedrin for migraines for years and only would work for a short time. My coworker suggested my husband go to The Joint, my husband since his visits has had no migraine's , this was the BEST choice he made. I was also seen for my TMJ i could not eat solids for a few days and was in really bad pain, Dr. Scott fixed my jaw and since than I have had no issues! Thank You Dr. Scott!!!!!!

Dr. Scott is really professional, friendly, and great at what he does! I have been to several Joint locations, and he is a cut above the rest. He is very good at adjusting the neck and upper back which are my problem areas, and I always feel relieved when I walk out!

I had an excellent first experience with Dr. Scott and the team. My neck is not the easiest to adjust so I'm a bit cautious about trusting a new practitioner. Best, most complete and easiest adjustment I've ever had. Clean and quick. Happy to be a new client.
