Ice cream is the treat of choice for many people in the summer. Rather than indulging in this sugary dessert, swap out the unhealthy option for a more nutritious one. A smoothie is a good choice because it's lower in sugar and calories. Blend together a banana with some ice and other fruit you enjoy and you'll have a dessert that provides plenty of vitamins and nutrients.
Swap Afternoon Tanning for Morning Tanning
The summer sun is a major attraction during the hottest months of the year. You may find yourself wanting to lay out and sunbathe in the afternoon. This is actually when the sun's rays are at their hottest, making it dangerous for you to do so. You should swap your afternoon tanning or outdoor activities with a morning session instead. Before 10 a.m. the sun is not as harsh so you can still get that summer glow without it being as detrimental to your skin.
