went in with a severe lower back pain issue. after meeting and discussing my problems he's in crack my neck did a couple pokes with the little proverb and pushed on my lower back. not relieving any pressure in my lower back like we discussed. not only did he not fix my issue but I had a pinched feeling in my right side that I told him about. but he did nothing. so I left there worse than when I got there. the pain in my side got worse over night. causing me even more discomfort and it became hard to breathe. when I called for a refund on my monthly subscription, that I was basically forced into. I didn't even want it. they said because it had been more than a few days. I wouldn't be able to get a refund. and they were going to keep charging me for three months. even though I only had the one visit.

I visited this chiropractor hoping to get help for my neck, but I left disappointed. Instead of focusing on treatment, a large part of the appointment felt centered around selling me a 6-visit plan. He kept talking about packages and future visits, and I felt pressured rather than cared for as a patient. I understand that some treatments may require multiple sessions, but I expected more attention to my immediate concern and a stronger effort to address the issue during the visit. I left feeling like I received more of a sales pitch than actual care. I value professionals who listen first and put the patient experience before marketing plans. Unfortunately, this visit did not feel that way to me.

I came in for the first adjustment and it went great! The price for the first visit was incredibly affordable set me at ease to go ahead and come in to give the practice a try. I also appreciated that I got right into an adjustment on the first visit. I purchased the 3 month plan of my own interest in it and it was not a high pressure sales situation. Don’t let yourself get sucked into their ridiculous pre paid wellness plans. I signed up for one thinking I would use it, but my schedule changed and I moved away from the area. I went into the office 3 weeks prior to the end of the plan month to cancel future auto renewal. I was then convinced by the receptionist and the chiropractor to wait with my cancellation till the end of the month so I could still use my plan for another adjustment or two. I was not able to come in. On the last day of the month I called in to cancel again. I was told I had to come in person to cancel. When I asked why does it have to be in person, I was told, that’s their policy. So I drive there after long day of work to finally cancel my plan, only to be told that my plan has already renewed that day and they can’t do anything about the charge. They are well aware that I will not be able to use any of the treatment sessions. So enjoy my last $90 thieves! Hope you can sleep well at night charging people for services that will not be provided. That’s scam at its finest, disguised underneath lengthy legal contracts, reinforced by ridiculous office rules and a ton of bureaucracy.

I’ve been going to the Joint Chiropractic for over 6 years and ever since joining, Dr. Gabriel Latino is my “go to” doctor for my adjustments. Each time he adjusts me, I walk out feeling relief and ready to conquer my week. I make it a point to see Dr. Gabe weekly, for my maintenance adjustment, but earlier on and what prompted me to join, was issues I was having with my back, neck, and hip and leg tightness. I’ve had nothing but outstanding service with Dr. Gabe. From my observation, I can tell that he takes the time to know his patients. Amazing Experience – Life-Changing Relief! I had never been to a chiropractor before and was honestly terrified. I made the mistake of watching YouTube videos beforehand, which only added to my fear—grown men crying out in pain didn’t exactly ease my nerves. I had a herniated, bulging disc in my back (my second injury), and the pain was unbearable. It was so bad that I kept missing work, and my mom finally said she couldn’t stand to see me suffering anymore and took me to The Joint. I saw Dr. Gabe, and from the moment I met him, he was kind, patient, and reassuring. I told him how scared I was and that I was afraid it would hurt. He took the time to talk to me, explain everything, and completely put me at ease. After my adjustment, he asked me to walk around for a minute—and that’s when I felt emotional. I felt immediate relief. I hadn’t been pain-free in months, and suddenly I could move without that constant ache. I was truly blown away. The entire staff, including the front desk team, were so warm and welcoming. The environment is clean, calm, and professional. Go somewhere else, I signed up and paid for the first month, but a few days later, I tore my ACL and was on crutches, so I couldn’t attend. Despite this, they charged me again the next month. When I called to explain and requested a refund, they told me they don’t offer refunds. So, I ended up paying for two months without being able to use the sessions, which also expire if unused. It feels like they only care about the money

You have to be very careful in this business. I arrived with a pain in my waist and ended up with a headache that I still have to this day after a month. I arrived in so much pain that they make you sign a bunch of documents, which was almost impossible for me to take the time to read because I was consumed by the pain. and the only thing I was looking for was to relieve the pain a little. Verbally, no one warns you that you are signing to be charged a monthly fee for 10 sessions and if you don't use them, you lose them. But the most impressive thing of all is that in 5 minutes you are already out of the office. This seems like a total theft to me. It's more than a robbery....

My husband and I signed up in March with that location. Since the plan started in March we used 3 of the 6 visits each, I believe. We decided it was best to cancel the plan as we were not utilizing it. We called to cancel the plan when we were out of town and were told that we had to go in person to cancel, we did not return until 03/10/2024. Additionally, we responded to the email in reference to our lack of use of the "benefits" requesting to cancel and to have the pending charges cancelled, with no response. After calling and emailing, we went into the location and signed the cancellation forms yesterday. Again, calling and leaving a message regarding the pending charge when the phone was not answered. Today when we called them after 6:00PM they stated that they would not be refunding/cancelling the charges and the owner of the location, who was on site, refused to speak with us. The lack of customer service and professionalism is concerning to say the least. The fact that they are associated with the franchise leaves a poor impression overall. Especially, when you see the negative reviews specifically in reference to their location. At this point from the charges alone, we are out $170 dollars. That does not include the time and energy that we spent trying to avoid just such a situation and now the time and energy that we will spend attempting to fix it. EDIT: Since the good "doctor" chose to respond as he did. It should be noted that if his receptionist, it was crying it was because he does not have the moral or common decency to return a call, email, or pick-up the phone. There was no yelling on our end. As a matter of fact she was told multiple times that it was not her fault and we understood her hands were tied. That was why we requested to speak to someone else, a request that was denied by the "doctor". Seeing as how no calls or emails have been returned as of yet, but he had time to respond to an after hours review, it is clear that he doesn't actually care. As to the contract, perhaps I would have known that had I had a copy of it, as I would have been provided at a car dealer or upon closing.

The Doctors are great, very efficient at getting you in and out. But beware of the monthly deal, as they don't tell you it's a 2 month minimum with a recurring payment. Paid for 1 month and ended up being charged 2 more months until I caught it. And they don't tell you upfront about the 2 month minimum or the recurring payments.

I’m always greeted w/ a smile & promptly checked-in. The Chiropractors are very friendly, professional & good at what they do. They also listen attentively so I feel “heard.” This is my “go to” location now & it’s close to my job. The El Cajon location is good but yours is better & their parking is challenging sometimes w/ In N Out nearby. The La Mesa one is closest to my home & was good until I was treated rudely.

Two stars for the convenience and low price, but not actual patient care. I was here three times, one adjustment was nice, but I’m not sure who the doctor was. The second visit was by Dr Simmons, who seemed way more interested in selling me a package of visits, than to actually listen to his new patient. The third adjustment today was by him again, and he was insulting. He actually said he could cure me, but if I choose to live with the pain it was up to me. Backstory: I have been seeing chiropractors most of my 54 years in this planet, and all over this country. In fact ten -yes I counted. At some points I have bought a few visits at a time due to injuries, or whatever. I have scoliosis so when I feel locked up, I will pop in for a a visit. It works for me, and it worked for every other chiropractor ever. I have gone years sometimes between visits, and in the three visits mentioned above, it was a year in between those visits. No one knows your body better than you, and I know my bones adjust the same almost every visit. He did the adjustment and kept commenting how “not normal” that sounds. And “if I ever wanted to be cured I should by more visits”. I have never been told by ten outstanding chiropractors, that they could cure scoliosis, and that the sound of bones adjusting was not normal. The audacity. They also NEVER pressured me like a used car salesman. I’m sure he had a note on my file from the previous visit, because he seemed combative right from the start. By the way, the waiting room was empty. I guess he cured everyone. Update: There is no need to contact the owner as I will not be doing business here again. It’s not about price, I’ve been insulted enough. I absolutely understand how chiropractic therapy works. thank you for the reply.

The receptionists are always very helpful however the chiropractors have been a little bit less knowledgeable than some of them at Element Wellness but still very good at what they do! I like the membership rates so I will plan on keeping that going and having an office in La Mesa not far from my apartment as well as an office in Santee near my work since I take the trolly and don’t have a car is a plus!

The low prices, the convenience of walk-in scheduling, and easy parking are very appealing. However, be careful. This might not be for you. I had 2 adjustments with Dr. S, and I was in significantly more pain after each one. I went in for upper back problems, and not only was that made worse, but after 2 visits I also ended up with pain in my hips so that it hurt to walk. This might not have happened if Dr. S had done a better job of assessing my condition in the first place. He didn't even notice that my pelvis was already crooked when I went in, because he didn't bother to look at how I was standing. Then when he twisted/cracked me on the table he made things worse. I am now in the care of a better chiropractor elsewhere who has helped me. This other chiropractor noticed right away that my pelvis was crooked just by looking at how I was standing. Such a simple thing, why didn't Dr. S notice? My current chiropractor said he has had other patients who came to him because they didn't get appropriate help at The Joint. Don't sign up for a Wellness Package unless you are sure it is right for you, because you won't get a refund for any unused visits.

Signed up for the plan..they fixed my disc pain last month. First visit only $29! I felt amazing after! So I waited a month before I signed for plan. Their doctors are both nice and knowledgeable!! I also like that no appointment is necessary and I can just swing by after work.

You have two main doctors there both of them do a great job. I can't sit in any of the chairs because of my bad back sometimes I'm in my car and both of them have come out to get me if the secretary hasn't successfully communicated to me by phone and either through her own fault or mine and they they know me. I never ever have a substandard job done to me and it's always just a question of whether it's like a four or five work and I'm only walking around because of chiropractic. The joint is affordable and it's everywhere and I thank you that you provide that

Love coming here! The doc is professional, very skilled and gets me feeling better every time. I also appreciate the front office staff. They are always warm and welcoming. They have a great business model that works perfect for busy folks like myself. I don't have to make appointments and walk in whenever I have the time for a quick adjustment. I am usually in and out very quickly and that is important to me. I also like their flexible hours and the option to go to any other Joint Chiropractic office. I primarily go to this Santee location but on a few occasions I have gone to other locations when I am in the area and they have all been great as well. They also have flexible plans that are very reasonably priced.

Really clean. Great long hours of operation. Seen Dr Gil, had a great experience. Gentle since I’m pregnant yet firm enough to still get a good crack and adjustment. He was experienced and knew how to adjust a pregnant woman. Space is large in the back to get your privacy if another doctor is adjusting someone else at the same time. They allowed a guest to come back with me which was nice. Will come back with Dr Gil!

Chiropractor's are magicians!! I have been a fan and regularly recommend Chiropractic care to anyone and everyone. It's been WAY to long between visits but I am happy to find an affordable and convenient way to get the care I need from a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I LOVE the fact that they are open on the weekends. Back/neck pain does not take weekends off and I have often found myself suffering through a LONG weekend to hopefully get seen by other chiropractics on Monday.
