Thirsty? Here's Why Water Reigns King

We live in a world full of flavored drinks. At one point in time, water was the only choice of drink available. If you were thirsty, you reached for a glass of water. In today's world, we have so many other options. When we're thirsty, we can reach for a variety of sodas, various juices, energy drinks, teas, coffee drinks, and more. The unfortunate part is that most of us reach for all of these instead of water. What does this mean? It means we avoid water at almost any cost! And it definitely costs! If you're guilty of grabbing a soda instead of water throughout the day, take a look at why you should reevaluate this choice and opt for water instead.

Dehydration is Serious

We really underestimate the power and importance of water in our world today. But unless you've experienced dehydration for yourself, you likely don't realize just how serious it can be. Dehydration can cause confusion, muscle aches, headaches, nausea, dry mouth and skin, and in the eventual sense, it can even cause death. Every part of our body needs water  from skin to the brain to our hair. If you don't know want to deal with the debilitating effects of dehydration, it's imperative to choose water every day.

A Lack of Water Can Impede Weight Loss

It's rare to meet an adult who wouldn't like to lose weight. We'd all like to shed a few pounds. But if you're not getting enough water, you may be really harming your chances of losing weight. Water helps flush toxins and waste out of the body. It helps move digestion and feeds the muscles. When water is scarce, these areas of the body suffer, and weight gain is often a result. If you want to lose weight, make the switch to water, and you may find the pounds drop faster than ever before.

Water Creates a Clean Body

If you suffer from skin blemishes, problems with digestion, or stained teeth, it's entirely possible that you just need more water. Water, as mentioned above, can clear out toxins from the body. When this happens, it flushes potentially bad bacteria from the gut. It also helps clear the skin, leaving you with smooth, clear, beautiful skin. And rinsing your mouth with water after eating or drinking can help ward off stains. If you like that clean, fresh, youthful look, water is something that needs to be in your life in a big way. 

Water is crucial! You can't live without it, and you shouldn't try. Make sure that you're getting more water than any other kind of drink. Make the transition slowly if you need to, but definitely make the transition! Water is life, so get more and watch your health and life improve like never before.
