“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is working with God's greatest creation, which is the human body,” he says. “Chiropractic provides a solution to pain without surgery and medications. If that's not miraculous, I don't know what is.”

Dr. Garcia grew up in Oxnard where he saw the value of chiropractic care personally. “I first was a patient of chiropractic, then an assistant to a chiropractor, and finally called to become one myself,” he says.

He loves helping members of his community achieve their health goals. “I enjoy seeing patients feel so much better that they refer their family and friends to the office,” he says.

Dr. Garcia enjoys the beach and spending time with his wife and two daughters when he’s not treating patients at The Joint. “Besides chiropractor, other titles I carry are husband, father, church elder, and coach,” he says.

He earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier. He had a particular interest in the study of anatomy, spending 90 additional hours in the cadaver lab for torso and brain dissection.

Dr. Garcia sees the significance of his work every day as he meets with patients. “Pain is simple to understand and resolve, but the current medical model makes it complicated,” he says. “I enjoy working with The Joint, not only because it provides such a convenient and economic approach, but many experience chiropractic for the first time here. This is a cattle herd operation. They do nothing to relax you so you can get a good adjustment. They also put you on auto pay the first time you come in even if you don’t sign the agreement. If you need more, they refer you to an outside chiropractor.

My lower back and hips had been killing me for almost 2 weeks from a rough schedule. I made an appointment at about 10:30am and was in there by one, on a Saturday. It was miraculous. Justin in there saw me walk in like a broken dog and with just a few efficient snaps back into place, I felt like a new man. Would have been a 5 star review but because Dr Hall is no longer there I will have to give them a 1. Sad! I have used many chiropractors in my life and only a couple are able to adjust my back and neck until I was treated by Dr Chis Hall. He is able to adjust me every time and need my weekly adjustment. Unfortunately I found out today that he's no longer with them and was let go for some reason. Regardless the reason, I will cancel my subscription and go search for a new place that's capable of adjusting me. Really sad day for me that after finally finding a doctor that can do the work correctly I again lost him. I hope someone will really soon how valuable he is and will have him come back soon. Michel

I showed up on Monday, July 14 with intense stiff neck pain, an 8/9 pain level. After an adjustment by Dr. Jose Garcia, by evening time, my pain had reduced to a 5. When I went on Wednesday morning, July 16, for another adjustment, this time by Dr. Christopher Hall, my pain was at a 3. Right now it is 6:30 in the evening and I am literally back to my normal self. The discomfort is possibly a 2 or 1 but most importantly, I can move my neck around. Both doctors were very gentle to my sensative areas that hurt. I am in my late 40's. Ever since my early childhood, I have always been used to going to chiropractors. Dr Justin is the bomb ? I've gone to chiropractors for probably 40 yrs. I've surfed for 50 yrs. Rarely are they able to crack my neck & if they do, it's a couple cracks & usually only on one side. Today they had a new Dr. He used different techniques then I've experienced. Today my neck cracked more than my back! Both side's like firecrackers. It was crazy! I’ve went a few times and was not impressed unfortunately. One person would say you should get this and then ask his partner what he thinks and it would be the opposite leaving me confused. My last visit I was told I could start a membership where I pay a small fee monthly and a small addition each time and can cancel anytime. When I called to see if I could cancel I was told I couldn’t until my 6 months was up when that information was not given. I was in extreme pain because of a back injury so I just wanted to sign my consent form for being seen and leave. I don’t feel it’s right that I can’t afford to pay a monthly fee after losing my Job and then won’t let me cancel. This office is all about getting there money and not genuinely wanting to help people. It’s a disappointment.

This practice ripped me off. I Allegedly signed up for a monthly "wellness practice" but did not notice the $89 monthly charges for a few months. This place saved me from having to do more intrusive procedures ! As someone who works construction and has been plagued with back pain on and off for years Visiting this location has improved the quality of my life tremendously. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Martin at The Joint twice in the past 5 days, and I have to say that the adjustments I received were phenomenal! Dr. Martin shows such high spirits and has a great sense of humor that really brightens the experience. You can definitely tell when he’s in the building—even if you’re sitting on the other side of the wall—because of how interactive and informative he is with his patients. The staff at both the Ventura location and the Oxnard location are fantastic—always friendly and helpful. The process is quick, and if you have a membership, it’s even faster. While the membership might seem a bit steep at first, getting 4 adjustments for $80 is a great deal compared to the typical $40 or $45 for just one adjustment. There are several membership options to choose from, but given the convenience and quality of care, it’s definitely a bargain. I highly recommend Dr. Martin and The Joint for anyone seeking effective chiropractic care!

. I took me and my daughter to this place. My daughter was seen i was not.,because i had a open lawsuit. Ok i let my daughter sign up for their plan. And these people having been charging for me as well. And then at 4:45 whoever this person was tells me i wont get my money back because i signed for a plan and was charged and can't be seen. Update someone did call me from the office and said I would get my money back. The reason given I won't repeat just to not make this worse. I will let everyone know when I actually receive my refund. As of 8-29-24 I still haven't received my refund I did receive my refund. I appreciate your response to this matter .

I’ve been here twice and did not get relief by the chiropractors at this location. I regularly go weekly to see the chiropractors in Thousand Oaks or PH. I just happened to be in Ventura these two times. I really think you need to spot check your locations and their regular customers to see if yo hare getting the same response as I am.

I was unable to move or sit without a Sharp shooting pain in my lower back for five days. I finally decided that I needed to go to the chiropractor. A relative of mine told me to go to The Joint. I called and they got me in the same day after I got off of work. The sign up process was easy and efficient. Then I went to the back where I saw Dr. Silvera. He did a thorough exam followed by an adjustment to address my needs. When I left, I could immediately feel the results. The sharp shooting pain was gone. I then came back for a follow up appointment and Dr Silvera saw me again and wow what a difference!!! I signed up for a membership and moving forward I plan on making an adjustment part of my normal routine. I will no longer take my back for granted. The Joint is fast and efficient and works perfectly with my schedule - No fluff and extra stuff that i don’t have time for. I am so glad I found this place. Plus, if I travel, I can go to any location which is also included with my membership!!!!

Love the convenience of walking in without an appointment and getting an adjustment when you need it. All the chiropractors are great here and the front staff friendly. I prefer Dr. Hall, he does a great job and is always enjoyable to talk to, but I havent had a bad experience with anyone here. The monthly plan is very reasonable, and they have options to fit almost anyone. The building is always clean and you never have to wait for very long. All around no complaints. They often have deals for your first visit so if you're considering it, try it out and see if it's for you.

Every Dr. at The Joint has been great. They have years of experience, really personable and kind. If you have a favorite or preferred Dr., you can get their schedule and go on days they are working, or what I do is just walk in and get seen by the chiropractor that is in that day. I’ve been going to chiropractors for over 30 years and can be very picky about who I see. I haven’t seen a chiropractor at The Joint yet that isn’t great. Highly recommend.

I’m so thankful for the joint! I’ve had neck pain for the past 10 years, and now I’m pain free! I was nervous about getting my neck adjusted, but Dr. Ashley was very thorough and compassionate to my apprehension. She sensed that I needed a gentler adjustment on the 1st visit, and she was right. I was sore for a few days after but I was eager to return because I could finally turn my neck to look over my shoulder! My first month of care was decent but I felt that having a different chiropractor on each visit did not completely address my issues. I felt like I did not receive completely satisfying care as compared to seeing just one chiropractor. My last visit did not go well, I was extremely tight and the chiropractor seemed to get frustrated after failing to adjust me. At one point she said, "I can adjust tight but not tense. I feel like I just adjusted 10 patients." She only was able to adjust one direction of my neck which made me feel much worse after the visit. I did not have a good experience and was frankly frightened to go back. I did not use any of the last month of services that I paid for as a result of my last terrible experience.

Mixed feelings about this place because, as much as I enjoy the service, and the chiropractors have truly helped me with some neck issues in the past, enough so to subscribe to the 6 month plan for $20 monthly +$20 per visit on top, at around September 2022. at the rate I was coming in in the past, it was well worth it. But my work schedule and commitments have changed, and I haven't been able to go since the start of 2023. fast forward to june 2023, Well passed my 6 month lock in with them, I decided to cancel the service because I was still being charged for it, even if the 6 month term has passed (I have not renewed, nor have I visited since start of 2023). I ate these charges because I didn't cancel them, so I acknowledge that this was partly on me. But when I finally called to do so around june 2023, I was told that I needed to come in to sign off on it. I explained to the person I was speaking with that I simply did not have the time to drop by because my work schedule has me on during The Joint's operating hours. which is actually the reason I wasn't coming in to begin with. They said that they couldn't cancel over the phone, and gave no other alternatives, which I understand, but also, is sort of ridiculous. There's this thing called docusign. get with the times smh. I wish I was just being difficult about this, but truly, I do not have time to drop by to cancel it. you guys got like 7 months of fees off me, and can't even provide an easier avenue to cancel contracts that have ALREADY lapsed, and I haven't even renewed. If I misunderstood the situation or terms, I'd like to be educated on the matter. because it came to the point of me having to call my bank to restrict this merchant from pulling from my account. which was another rigorous process, but thankfully, was doable remotely, because of DOCUSIGN. in any case, my number 1 takeaway from this is, to never buy into any subscriptions from you guys, because its such a slippery slope. Nothing against the chiropractors, they really are great. but this part marred the whole experience for me, and because of this, my friends and family opt out of buying subscriptions from you because they are in similar situations (work wise). I'll probably still come in when my schedule changes in the future, but will definitely avoid any commitments from you guys, because your billing policies are clingy as hell. it should be as easy to get off, as it was to get on it.

Amazing experience! I was greeted in right when I walked in and was treated with excellent customer service. Very manageable payment plans especially with the 29 dollar initial visit which includes a exam, consultation and a adjustment based off of your own body. Dr. Hall was my chiropractor and did a professional job on explaining why my back is the way it is. So many locations to choose from and is well worth a visit! 10/10.

I’ve been here a couple times and it’s mostly known for its affordability honestly. It’s just okay, every time I’ve gone it’s just a quick adjustment and the your off they don’t really take the time for any other practices to better help your situation. If your an athlete please don’t waste your money here I would recommend Logan Osland or any other place that doesn’t only do adjustments but also corrective or preventative exercises, massages, heat and cold therapy, electro stimulation etc… which will better help your overall situation

UPDATE: BUYER BEWARE. They keep billing our credit card even though we only signed up for the two month plan and told them we cancelled the monthly plan. You can see in their response below that you cannot cancel any way other than going into the clinic and signing a document 48 hours before you are billed. This little item is buried in the contract you sign on the first day. Told them at the front desk only wanted the two month package. We've tried to call and cancel several times. No dice. The initial sign up is for two months, BUT, even though you believe it's only two months, even though you tell them verbally you only want the two month package, unless you go in and sign a document to cancel, they continue to bill you at the end of the initial two months. Even after you call them to cancel again, they continue to bill you. They won't call you back. There is no contact information past front-of-house either. The desk/CS at front of house passes your concerns to upper management. So you have to spend more time/effort just trying to get these people to stop billing you. This is a feature, not a bug, and just a way to keep billing. You can see from their response below they aren't trying to find a solution.

I'm updating my review: due to some changes at the joint, the wait times these days are absolutely insane. I was told that due to new ownership, they will now only have one doctor working at a time. I used to be able to pop in and out in less than ten minutes... Recently the wait time has been well over half an hour because so many people are sitting and waiting for the one doctor to help everyone. I feel bad for the doctors who are doing their best. My original review: I've recommended so many friends and coworkers to this place. They've really helped me with the back pain I've been having for so many years due to my line of work.

These guys are awesome! I’m an Uber driver and drive 12-hour shifts on the weekends. Plus I have my regular 9-5. I was having trouble with my spine a few months ago and came in, randomly, to handle my back. They gave me a small treatment program and had me fully back to normal as they originally told me. Now, I just go in for maintenance. They do a great job and are clean and professional. I live that I don’t have to make an appointment and at the same time, I’ve never waited for more than 5 minutes to get help. 10 out of 10 recommend

This is THE BEST chiropractic clinic ever. Every single one of the staff is very friendly and patient oriented. All of the chiropractors are extremely knowledgeable and gives the best advice to better your overall health. I’ve had trouble sleeping due to a severe lower back pain and would always wake up with a headache and neck pain. Dr. Tyler Erickson fixed me! He is the best. He made all of the back pain and shoulder pain go away and I can say that my posture has dramatically improved. I no longer have headaches and neck pain in the morning. I am please to let anyone know if your considering going to The Joint in Ventura I recommend it 150%! The staff was very friendly and super informative about that type of treatment I will be receiving. I was a walk in and I walked out feeling amazing. I came in with lower back pain and I’m happy to say that it’s no longer an issue but I do have to be proactive about my back health. This place is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adjustment, acupuncture, or surprisingly weight loss. Who would have thought!

Dr. Tylor is mine and my husbands favorite guy to see at The Joint Chiropractic in Ventura. He’s very thorough and helps to get out kinks out as best as he can. I personally also really like to see Dr. Lisa if I go in on a day Dr. Tylor isn’t there. She’s awesome and does a great job as well. I highly recommend them both. It’s a clean facility and affordable with great plans to help keep you on track without breaking the bank.

Had a great experience at Joint Chiropractic yesterday. Robert was very helpful in explaining things to me in the beginning since i haven't been to a chiropractor in years. He also deeply explained what he was going to do before he did it, which made me a lot more comfortable. And oh my did my body need to be adjusted and it felt marvelous. The payment plan is also very affordable compared to other places. Very happy with my first appointment and i will update, as the plan i signed up for is a 2 month commitment...which i also give props the front desk girl for being super helpful and explained everything perfectly also. Pretty nice place and really decent adjustments given the prices they offer. $80 for a month off adjustments(total of 4) can’t beat that. I’ve come here off and on for a couple of years now. It’s a great place, some pretty good chiropractor’s work here. Typically you can get in and out fairly quick like 10mins tops. Some days you can wait 20 to 30 mins to see chiropractor. Definitely recommend this place if you aren’t trying to spend a whole lot or if you’ve never been to a chiropractor before, this is a great starting place. Dr. Erickson and Dr. Lisa do great work amongst the many other skilled doctors/chiropractors on site daily.

I live near the Ventura location and had been curious..I had only been to a chiropractor twice before regarding an old hip injury and that was several years ago. For almost a year i have been waking up with back pain...minimal sleep...waking up because my elbows are stiff...waking up because my hip is stiff...and then i go to work and hope that my left knee will hold out (I walk a lot in my job)...right now...I took my dog for our regular 0330hrs walk...and instead of my body feeling like it was moving in separate sections, I noticed that for the first time in a long time, everything felt fluid. ..hard to explain but it was an amazing feeling ..something that I have not felt for a long time. I have already scheduled a follow up session at the same location.

I was in so much pain when I walked in the door, but was quickly put at ease when she handed me the papers to fill out and told me I could fill them out at home and come back in about an hour and a half for my “appointment”. There was no way that I could comfortably sit and wait even five minutes. So I went home and filled out the papers and came back to easily walk straight through to the back with the Doctor Who promptly assessed and treated me! I’m not gonna say I walked out of there pain-free but I will tell you I was able to stand and drive home with an aching back not With an excruciating painful one!!!! I will be back and will be getting on a monthly plan for sure! I can hardly wait to see you next week!

Staff are friendly & helpful. Saw the woman today. Sorry I don’t remember her name. She works part time. She was wonderful! Spent some time talking to me, went over my previous treatment, accidents, previous surgeries, she reviewed my treatment from my previous doctor/chiropractor for over 10 years, asked me what issues I currently have, & then rotated both my shoulders, rubbed my neck, traction on my neck, adjusted my back, hips, shoulders, neck & hips. Signed up for 2 months of regular adjustments twice a week! Excellent first time experience!!!

Melissa, at the reception desk, was delightful. She was prompt, professional and very pleasant. The doctor listened, had great technique, and I felt like I was in good hands. However, I need a hip replacement and the act of pulling on my leg irritated my hip dramatically. It has been especially difficult to walk all day. It seems to be relaxing a bit, but I am of the opinion that that particular adjustment should not be done in the future. Overall, I was highly satisfied and will definitely recommended The Joint to friends and family.

Went in yesterday for the first time. The paperwork went smoothly and Melissa at the front desk talked me through my questions with ease and confidence. I was treated by a kind chiropractor that asked questions and really got to know me and my pre-existing condition prior to trying to adjust me. He even gave me a strength exercise that will help my condition to clear up. They were well worth the money and I immediately bought a monthly wellness plan. Both of them were so very kind and clearly knowledgeable and I felt immediately comfortable being in their hands. As a person who has seen a plethora of different chiropractors I would recommend The Joint as a great way to keep your wellness a(spine) on track!

I didn’t know a chiropractic place would be so reachable, affordable, and flexible. This place is gold! Glad I was introduced to it. I went to a another spot that took insurances only, and after my insurance covered a percentage, my cost would have been $180 PER VISIT! (And I work in healthcare). Here it’s as cheap as $20 a visit! Very too the point and knowledgeable docs here!

The Joint has been my go-to chiropractic office for years in other states, and it turned out to be awesome here in Ventura area! I have to specifically mention Dr. Mickie Rubino, and not just for his skillful and painless adjustments, but especially for his ability to listen, connect and understand patient's needs, which is a rarity in our healthcare system. He makes you feel that the adjustment has been customized just for you. Front desk staff has been wonderful and friendly as well, and I'm definitely going to use them again and again, when in back the area. Thank you for your great work!

The first time i went in i couldnt walk straight, turns out i had my hip pulled. The chiropractor explained the issues and tuned me right up! My fiance and I discussed going to a chiropractor for a while to realign from various past injuries and daily poor posture. We went to Dr. Shannon Parisi and she has been incredibly helpful! We both enjoy going in and getting readjusted because she knows what she's doing and spends the time to figure out how to fix your ailments and meet your needs. We would highly recommend visiting her for an adjustment! Also, the facility is clean and once you're on the list, the wait is short.

I went in today for a adj. for my 6 year old son. He was suffering from fluid in his ears for 2 wks.His primary Dr told me there was no infection, to let in drain on its own. The last 3 days it got worse but still no sign of infection.Monday came I took him for his 1st adj. 20 min later his body discharged so much mucas. He hasn't complain of his ear since his 1st adj. I ended getting a adj myself and getting a wellness package for 2. You can't be their price and professionalism.

I'm a competitive athlete and weigh 230. Dr Parisi is awesome! She really knows what she's doing! She cracks my wife and I weekly after a week worth of training and makes us feel like a million bucks! She spots so much and corrects so much on us every visit! She's very thorough and super nice! Hands down the best Chiropractor I have ever had! They offer military discounts too. I can't recommend or say enough good about Dr. Parisi!

I've been seeing Chiropractors for a long time, back pain never wants to go away. Had many experiences, both positive and negative. Let me tell you about Dr. Parisi, first of all, I'm not into reviewing things, but after the efficiency and pleasantness of just 15 minutes of her time, I Had to say something. I told her where it hurt; and she went to work. She's magic. So I came back, brought my girlfriend (she didn't like me talking about a female chiropractor with magic hands, so I figured she had to meet her). Now my girlfriend has a membership, plus her mom and brother, and a few of my buddies. Can't say enough how highly I recommend Dr. Shannon Parisi. Check it out, and if you don't enjoy chiropractic due to their relatively high prices (spoiler alert: she does 4 visits a month for $79)

I found The Joint and Dr Parisi when I was in extreme pain. I could basically not use my right arm due to possibly what I thought was dislocated shoulder or collarbone. I also could not fall asleep and awoke many times throughout the night due to stress and anxiety after losing my son to cancer. If I would have gone to a Dr I imagine they would have done X-rays and said I need surgery and put me on sleeping pills!! In just 3 weeks I have almost complete, cautious use of my arm again. I sleep like a rock and I have no morning stiffness in my neck or shoulders. I highly recommend Dr Parisi. I never have a wait and the staff is awesome....and where can you beat those prices? Especially military....thank you for honoring those who /serve/served and their families!!!!! And thank you for helping me get my life back on track!
