Try New Exercises to Reach Your Goals
By Donna Stark
Well, we've passed the half-year mark, so it's time to take a look at how your New Year's resolutions are going. Have you reached all the nutrition and fitness goals you set for yourself? Or are you still a work in progress? Either way, your local chiropractors at The Joint Chiropractic want you to succeed, so they have created a list of exercises that are extremely effective at helping people reach their desired outcomes. These exercises may be something you haven't considered yet, but give them a chance. They could be the one thing that helps you conquer every last goal you made!
Spin Classes
If you want to drop some pounds or improve your cardio, and the weather is still too hot outside to enjoy your bike rides, why don't you consider joining a spin class at your local gym? In addition to receiving the many health benefits that will come from doing so, you will also be able to cycle in an air-conditioned building! It's the perfect substitute for your outdoor cycling. On top of that, you can't beat the music and energizing instructor to keep yourself motivated!
Barre Classes
Did you think barre classes were just for dancers? Think again! Barre classes are for anyone who wants to incorporate weight training, cardio, and yoga into their fitness routine. They are great at increasing endurance and strength, lengthening and toning muscles, and improving posture and range of motion. Sign up for a class near you for a fun, new way to work out!
Dance Classes
Do you love to dance? Maybe there's a dance class calling your name! There is no better way to burn calories, enhance cognitive skills, and improve balance than to groove and move across the dance floor. Dancing is also a fun way to socialize while you exercise your body.
Don't Like Classes?
If you don't like joining classes and would rather work out on your own, don't worry! The chiropractors at The Joint Chiropractic have some other great ideas too.
- Stay active with bike rides, morning runs, or hikes
- Go swimming a few times a week
- Practice yoga or tai chi in your backyard
- Invest in a treadmill or stationary cycle for your home
- Walk wherever you can and use the stairs
- Join a recreational sport league
Reaching Your Health Goals
Nobody said exercise has to be boring, and with the suggestions above, it's easy to knock boring right out of the picture! So, go ahead and try something new. There's still plenty of year left to reach your goals.
