3 Surprising Places to Find Fitness Inspiration
By Genevieve Cunningham
Part of getting serious about a fit body and life is finding the right inspiration. When you have someone to admire or a certain body and lifestyle to emulate, the entire process becomes easier. But unless you just happen upon a source of inspiration by accident, how are you supposed to find it? It might be easier than you think. If you need a little fitness inspiration in your life, take a look at these three surprising sources.
YouTube
You probably already knew that YouTube had some serious fitness advice available. There are multiple videos depicting various kinds of exercises. But even more than workout videos, some of these videos come from channels made by devoted fitness individuals. If you follow the channels, you may find plenty of advice and motivation from the maker of the videos. Be specific in your search and choose wisely, but don't be afraid to go on a YouTube binge to find someone who sparks interest and motivation in your fitness quest.
Pinterest is for more than recipes and crafts. If you search for fitness related keywords, you may find ample amounts of information and different boards that are full of guidance. There might be pictures, recipes, tips, and even full blown workouts available. It's so much more vast than you think! Give it a try. You may have to sift through some nonsense, but once you find the right boards to follow, the inspiration and advice will flow freely.
This one may not be entirely surprising, especially considering the ever growing popularity of this social media platform. Instagram is full of fit individuals sharing pictures of their journey and offering solid advice. Because of the vastness of Instagram, it's important to approach with caution. The key is to not get overwhelmed. Find three or fewer people who inspire you, and don't allow yourself to get lost in the abundance.
If you can find inspiration, working out becomes so much easier. While a real life individual might create more impact than anything else, any inspiration is better than none. Check out these places and find the inspiration you need. With some support and a spark of inspiration, you’ll be moving toward better health and a fit body in no time at all.
