His academic journey began at Western States Chiropractic College, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1980. Dr. Peterson’s commitment to lifelong learning led him to earn a Master’s Degree in Chinese Medicine, and he is nationally designated by the NCCAOM. Beyond his clinical training, he has a distinguished background in the sciences, having received two National Science Foundation grants in Marine Biology. His dedication to clinical excellence and peer review also led him to become a Fellow of the Post-Graduate Institute of Medicine, where he contributed to a peer-reviewed supplement guide published by Mosby Press.

Dr. Peterson is also a respected educator and communicator in the wellness community. He currently shares his extensive knowledge by teaching western sciences at the Dragon Rises Acupuncture College in Florida. His expertise is further recognized through his work as an Associate Editor and journalist for the California Journal of Oriental Medicine, with his insights published in 11 different issues. Since 2016, Dr. Doner has focused on providing personalized care that addresses the unique needs of every individual who walks through the clinic doors. He is passionate about the way regular adjustments can act like a "tune-up" for the body, keeping the spine aligned so that the nervous system can function at its very best.

Dr. Doner earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from D'Youville University in Buffalo, New York. His education provided him with a deep understanding of the musculoskeletal system, allowing him to explain complex health concepts in a way that is easy to understand. You can often find him kayaking through local waterways or hiking with his family. As a proud father of three and a devoted dog owner to a Golden Retriever and three Golden Doodles, his home life is just as energetic as his professional one. A lifelong athlete, he still hits the ice for hockey and recently retired from competitive soccer at the age of 57. He also remains a loyal supporter of the Buffalo Bills.
