Meet The Doctors

Dr. Fred Gibson, D.C. is a Chiropractic, Clinic Director at Dr. Phillips

Dr. Fred Gibson is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus.

He has been part of the Central Florida Community from the age of 10 being an active participant of sports, community ,and school events. He pursued his dream of being a Chiropractor at the age of 15 after experiencing his own Chiropractic benefits and the amazing results achieved.He tailored his education to best fit his future goals and aspirations. He attended Seminole State College where he received his A.A. in Health Sciences and Athletic Training, then proceeded to Daytona State College to complete his Bachelor of Applied Science and Business Management and Supervision.

Upon receiving his undergraduate degree,Dr. Gibson began his journey through a rigorous program at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange Florida. While there he focused his extra time outside the classroom perfecting his skill as a representative and officer for The Motion Palpation Institute, as well as the Palmer Soft Tissue Club where he learned some of the latest evidence based techniques to treat patients and mastering those techniques to teach other students. All with the loving support of his wife and children.

Dr. Gibson spent a year in Tallahassee, Florida as the clinic director of a new private practice where Dr. Gibson treated all different types of patients from athletes, newborn babies, pregnant mommies, as well as patients of all age. Dr. Gibson learned and practiced new corrective care techniques, as well as spending his time outside the office volunteering at the Tallahassee Teen Challenge Center to build relationships and adjust the members to help them and bring Relief of their Pain through Routine Chiropractic Care..

Dr. Gibson and his family returned to their home town of Casselberry to reconnect with family, friends, and community of the Orlando area, as well as raise their 3 children.

Dr. Gibson is very excited to be a part of The Joint Chiropractic team in Dr. Phillips, Orlando.

Dr. Luis Feliu, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Dr. Phillips

Dr. Luis Feliu is a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Greater Orlando, Florida where he helps people reconnect with their bodies, so that they may perform at their highest level in all areas of their lives. He was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he attended the School of Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico. He then had a life changing experience being introduced to chiropractic which made him change careers. Dr. Luis graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2008.

While in chiropractic school Dr. Luis was part of an international chiropractic student organization that took him to Melbourne, Australia and Johannesburg, South Africa. He also had the chance to serve on a chiropractic mission to El Salvador. Since graduating in 2008, Dr. Luis has practiced in California, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and now Florida.

Dr. Luis is very passionate about music. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful daughter, playing percussion and guitar. He played with a band in Hawaii, with who he toured through California in 2014 and 2015.

Dr. Shaun Krein, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Dr. Phillips

Dr. Shaun Krein is a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Greater Orlando, where he inspires people to live their lives in balance and without resistance or interference. Dr. Krein was born and raised in Westport, Connecticut, and attended the University of Massachusetts where he received his Bachelor’s in Science with concentration in Biology & Pre- Medicine. Dr. Krein graduated from Life University in Marietta, GA in 2015.

Before becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Krein has enjoyed a long career in the field of health and wellness. After first receiving his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician at 17 years old, Dr. Krein has worked in ambulances, hospitals, billing companies, insurance agencies, universities, and a school of massage therapy. He spent years as a certified massage therapist (CMT) and teacher in San Francisco, California.

Chiropractic allowed Dr. Krein to begin his service outside of the country, and after receiving a scholarship to live, study and work in Peru, he joined the largest company of chiropractors in the capital of Lima. After a year he transferred to Colombia, and spent several years in the capital of Bogotá. Dr. Krein speaks fluent medical Spanish, and is very excited to assist the people of Greater Orlando, including those who may feel more comfortable speaking in their native tongue.

In his time off, Dr. Krein enjoys spending time on the beach or at the pool with his girlfriend Nancy. They both travel nationally and internationally, as well as hike and kayak, in their time off. Dr. Shaun has visited all but a handful of the US National Parks. Dr. Krein loves to cook and enjoys experimenting regularly with new dishes from different cultures.

Dr. Nakia R. Pinkney, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Dr. Phillips

Nakia R. Pinkney, BS, DC, a 2017 graduate of Life University College of Chiropractic, joined The Joint Chiropractic team January 2020. She is a South Carolina native and attended the University of South Carolina, Aiken where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology.

Dr. Pinkney’s passion for chiropractic and caring for patients can be seen in both the Dr. Phillips and Windermere locations. She believes that chiropractic care is a way for patients to take an active role in their health and live high quality lives. She has seen the fascinating miracles the human body can perform when it is functioning properly. Dr. Pinkney’s role as a chiropractor is to remove interferences from the body so that it can work to its fullest potential. This is made possible by making specific adjustments to the body’s joints and educating each person about ways to improve their wellbeing.

In her spare time, Dr. Pinkney can be found listening to apple music, relaxing, working out in the gym, or watching basketball games. March Madness is her favorite!

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Pinkney is a basketball fanatic. She grew up taking an active role in the Orangeburg, SC community and found her love for basketball at age 7. She had the privilege of playing for her local middle and high school basketball teams, playing on a traveling AAU team, and receiving a 4 year basketball and academic scholarship at the University of South Carolina, Aiken.

Dr. Esteban Santiago, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Dr. Phillips

Dr. Esteban Santiago is a bilingual and passionate chiropractor with a vision to enlighten others into an imperative health path. As a team member of The Joint Chiropractic, his purpose is to deliver high quality adjustments while improving quality of life. Additionally, his specialty in biomechanics and human movement provides patients with a platform of body awareness to perform at their finest on a daily basis.

Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science with concentration in Sports Medicine. Being a student-athlete, Dr. Esteban Santiago was able to experience the vitality of body maintenance and wellness. Furthermore, continuing his education as a Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic becoming the first Doctor in his family.

Dr. Esteban Santiago has exceptional experience in diverse patient care including sports injuries, elderly, extremity injuries, newborn babies, pregnant mommies and motor vehicle accident injuries.

Born and raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico where he spent the majority of his life committed to serve a community in the health and wellness industry as a certified trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. The Puerto Rican native, has experience working with the national basketball team of Puerto Rico, NBA athletes, Latin artists and Professional athletes all around sports. Dr. Esteban Santiago looks to serve different communities of language, help patients have a pain free and active life.

Dr. Katie Thomas, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Dr. Phillips

Born and raised in Central Florida, Dr. Katie knows this community and how to serve it. Her time completing her Bachelor’s Degree was spread throughout Lake Sumter College, Valencia College, Southeastern University and the University of Central Florida. Finally, she graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and joined The Joint team.

Dr. Katie has special interest in treating kids and mothers as well as biomechanical dysfunction, especially of the hips, knees, and feet. Her treatments are based on the FMS system and designed to restore patient’s natural movement patterns and keep them performing at their highest level. Dr. Katie has extra training from Palmer College in Cox Flexion Distraction, Sports, Gonstead and Graston techniques. Treating the body as a whole is at the forefront of her care.

Spending time at the beach, being on the lake fishing, and teaching patients how to care for themselves are all part of what makes Dr. Katie who she is. As a part of The Joint team she is excited to learn about her patients and treat them with the highest possible standard of care.
